Derrick showed up at my house one evening begging for work to take down some trees. I had used him in the past and he did a good job. This time, he had to have money up front, so I went to the ATM machine and got him 60.00 that night. The next day, he showed up cut down two trees, insisted he needed more money so I paid him 125.00 for the job even though he was not finished. Never saw him again. He ripped me off and I will never do business with him again.
Description of Work: He cut down several trees and then did not finish the job.

Oak trees about 3 feet in diameter were overhanging our roof and garage and had to be removed. Plus several more along our driveway and parking area. I was nervous about the job because 2 huge Oak trees were very close to the house. The guys reassured us that they would climb the trees and rope them. All trees in the way were removed and the crew cut and trimmed up around the grounds, some damage from way back when hurricane Fran caused everything to crash around and lean west. The crew was great, cleaning up as they went along and hauling a huge load. The big trees were the last to go and it all went as planned. Of course with plantings of azaleas beneath, there was some damage to the landscape which could not be helped, all in all, not bad considering the size of the monster trees they pulled down. Maybe I am just easy going, but I took it in stride. It was all worth it in the end, the view is open now across the yard and I no longer have to worry about the tree limbs falling on the roof during windy storms. This was an emotional decision because the oaks were mature and lovely, but they just had go. The gutters are clean of acorns and leaves and sunlight can get to the house once again.
Description of Work: 8 mature white oaks down, 2 oaks trimmed, haul limbs, rest of the tree cut into approx. 18" for firewood.

Subs out all the work except the stump grinding. The 3 guys doing the actual work only put in a few hours each of the 3 days. They did a good job of dropping the big trees down in sections but didn't do the best job cleaning up. I'm glad I did this at the start of my landscaping projects because they did a lot of damage to the back lawn when the dragged the logs across it to the log truck, and then drove the log truck through a flower bed and onto the front lawn.
Description of Work: Remove 8 large pine trees, 8 medium pine trees, 2 apple trees, 2 dogwoods, trim 2 birch trees near house.
