Description of Work: Got the Big Deal to install two ceiling Fans for $125. When I contacted the provider to set up a time, I was quoted different amount than what was described in the Big Deal. There were too many extra charges that were not mentioned in the big deal restrictions like extra charge for ceiling height higher than 9', there can not be an existing fixture on the place where ceiling fan will be going but an electrical wiring has to be there! | |Adding up all the extras, it was too expensive for me, so just got refund for the big deal and hired and electrician for an hour. Got this done and some in an hour... much better deal!

Description of Work: Installed a ceiling fan and checked light switch in hall way for connectivity.

Description of Work: They fixed 2 problems quickly: an outside light and the front door bell.

Description of Work: Technician came in and trouble shot the reason for no power in the front room by testing all outlets lights and light switches and matching up to the fuse box. He determined that one of the neutral wires had gone bad. He bypassed this and got power back on in all locations. Wanted to wait and see how symptoms cleared up before putting review on here. I like how the technician was fully explaining what he was doing. Great job! Would definitely recommend!

Description of Work: Anthony and his team replaced our existing kitchen lighting with recessed LED lights, and we have been very happy with the work. Everyone with whom I interacted at Alpha Contracting was pleasant and professional, and their price was much better than that offered by several other contractors.

Description of Work: Deceptive advertising. The "Big Deal" was not as stated. They require more money for an initial visit, which isn't stated in the ad. There was also a long wait for service. Did not use them. Never received money back from Angie's List, either.

Description of Work: Identified a faulty GFR outlet and replaced it. I purchased $149 of electrical work for $39.00. An automatic service fee of $48.00 was not mentioned until after purchasing the deal for $39.00. Total out of pocket cost to replace faulty GFR outlet was $96.00. Service was prompt, professional, and excellent

Description of Work: I purchased the offered Angie's list deal for the price offered. These guys, and I went up the chain of command and got the same response all the way up, tried to add a $45 fee to that price. I told them that I'd pay the $45 if I needed more work that the basic deal would have covered, and they refused this compromise. I would NEVER EVER do business with these guys and they still have my money.

Description of Work: The company was good in terms of responsiveness, professionalism and punctuality, but I found pricing to be an issue. I was disappointed, as we never actually got any service or work done, but paid $39 to Angie's List for the deal, and then an additional $45 service charge to the contractor. They spent the initial visit diagnosing the problem of our outdoor flood lights, and then an estimate was provided a couple days later, but it did not include the price to fix the outdoor lights. (It included other items that we said we eventually would like to have done, but as we had mentioned multiple times, the outdoor flood lights were the primary issue we wanted their immediate help with.) Upon talking to them a day later, they did provide an additional estimated amount to repair the outdoor flood lights, which came to almost $500 - way higher than we anticipated. Additionally, I have now obtained another contractor quote, and their pricing is more reasonable, in my opinion, than Alpha's. With that said, I don't think we will be moving forward with Alpha, primarily due to cost. And as I mentioned, I am mostly disappointed in the $84 we spent which resulted in no further repair progress done to our house :-(

Description of Work: Repaired two fluorescent light fixtures and replaced two electrical outlets. Chris was the electrician who performed the services and he was competent and professional. I would use Alpha again and would recommend them to others.

Description of Work: Not clear what the savings for coupon was good for. Extra cost may be correct given we asked for outside light installation where none exist. No experience with other electricians to compare. Price seems high and adding $700-900 additional is not in the budget and seems very expensive.
