Alpha Contracting

As always Anthony Rivera came to my rescue!!!! I needed him to wire my HVAC system because it had no power. He was so awesome to come out right away. I have used them before and will always use them in the future. They are hard workers, clean, and gets the job done the first time around.

Outstanding communications both to and from the company. Contractor made a preliminary visit to make sure all needed materials and equipment were on hand. Wiring inside the panel box was done very neatly, with all wires squared away. Work was performed exactly on time.

Chris was amazing. He completed all the tasks I requested in a efficient and competent manner. He was very personable. The next time I need any electrical work done I will hire Chris again.

The provider performed a bonding and grounding, connecting a ground wire from the gas lines in the crawl space to the main electrical box. Provider also wrapped tape around exposed section of gas line in crawl space. All work was done quickly and efficiently.

The contractor was prompt, professional, effective and charged a reasonable fee. We'll certainly use them again in the future.

We have used Alpha Contracting for two separate jobs because we were so impressed with the first job. We had wiring that was all exposed since we mounted our television over the fireplace. Chris and Anthony came in and put outlets behind the soundbar, and ran the wiring behind the wall so that it wasn't exposed. They gave me a quote and stuck with it. Anthony let me text him a picture of the set up so I wouldn't be surprised with the cost. They also put a new outlet in the ceiling of our baby's room and installed a ceiling fan. The second job was taking down an outdated and builder grade vanity light fixture and required and installed two separate light fixtures for our master bathroom remodel. This is a great and trustworthy company. If I ever need an electrician I will only use Alpha Contracting.

The fellow seemed to be quite efficient and I thought he did very little for the $99. I asked him to do a fairly simple job that he made sound rather complicated. We asked if he could call us back and give us an estimate on the job and he said sure and that was the last we heard. I would not recommend them to anybody. The fellow was pleasant and I regard the whole experience was forgettable.

Installation went great. We had a challenge getting the wire through, under and around our rock walled beds in the front yard but Steve did a great job figuring out the best path and using the fewest feet of wire to keep the project within the expected cost. He took great care to repair and replace the areas where he had to dig.

Fast and prompt, however, we found many small pieces of debris in both rooms after work was done - screws, wire sheathing, plastic bags, etc. Also, we were charged an additional $21 on top of the money already paid for the deal - no explanation as to why.

It was fine. It was good. It was hard for them to get a hold of us to get things scheduled. They came out pretty quickly after getting scheduled though.

It's the middle of summer and it seems that all electricians are behind working on air conditioner repairs. I called 3 people before I tried alpha contracting, all of whom said they couldn't come out until tomorrow. That meant no hot water for us until then. Chris' boss said that he could have Chris out within a two hour window. Chris was there in an hour and 15 minutes. He listened to the problem, checked our hypothesis, and found it to be accurate. He replaced the GFI outlet with one that we can see if it goes out with a lighted unit rather than having to feel it (it's in our garage), and was gone in less than an hour. He was friendly and polite.

I wanted to be refunded, they charged me too much, I mean their prices were absurd. They were so expensive and I would not use them again in future because of the price.

Oh! Surprise! An extra $45 from your pocket just for showing up. This is not revealed in the Big Deal on Angie's List. They did good work though.

I thought the work was expensive for what he did. The Angie's List deal didn't cover the cost (which I didn't know until that morning) so I had to pay extra for what was really a simple job.

It went great. I have used this contractor multiple times.

He was fast, courteous and knowledgable. I look forward to using Alpha again in the future.

We had an excellent experience with Alpha Contracting. We actually purchased additional hours of work to get all of the work done in one visit. The guys were very professional and did excellent work. Adding the two new light fixtures was a tremendous amount of work, and they were able to get it done easily and efficiently.

Owner contacted us via email promptly to get a description of the issue. Made an appointment within a timely manner. He arrived promptly and with another worker. He was polite & got straight to work. Although my husband is very handy he could not figure out why the switches weren't working after replacing all of them. This guy fixed it & was in & out in record time. The only issue I would state was that he did not have any "almond" colored switches in his truck so he replaced the switch with a white one. Now we have a white & an almond one in the same panel. That was my husband's doing though & not the guy's fault. I would have asked him to come back with one that matched our other fixtures but my husband is a nice guy & didn't want to put the electrician out. Oh well.

Alpha Contracting is a less than reputable vendor. Do not accept offers from them. They feel that they don't have any obligation to live up to the terms of an offer that you may have accepted and that the only satisfaction you can get if you don't like the deal after they change, it even though you've already paid, is to give you your money back. That's classic bait and switch fraud and breach of contract. They offered a deal where they'd come to your home and do $139 dollars worth of work for $39 dollars. I bought that deal. I then learned from them when I called to schedule the work that there was a $45 service fee for coming to my home. I tried to negotiate with them and be understanding of their situation. I said since the deal is really a $100 discount that they should come out for what I 'd paid and take the $45 out of the $139, essentially reducing the $100 discount to a $55 discount or I'll pay the additional $45 but they should give me $184 of work. They told me that customers don't dictate to them and that I'd have to take the new deal or get a refund. A couple of months later, I cooled down on the thing and hit them back. I essentially agreed to capitulate and take the new deal instead of the deal that I bought. They refused to even do that now. I plan on taking them to the better business bureau next. But Angie's List should never use these guys again.

The Coupon Worked..... As soon as I made the deal for electrical work on Angie?s List I received a confirmation email from Alpha Contracting with a request to schedule an appointment. When I called to schedule the appointment, the person I spoke with was very polite. We discussed the work I wanted completed, making sure I had all the materials and verified my address They had a time slot open today and I was scheduled for an AM appointment. The worker arrived promptly and identified himself. He gave me a business card. I showed him the materials packaged in unopened boxes. I explained the kitchen light fixture needed to be replaced to include a dimmer switch. After he completed the work he showed me how to operate the new light fixture and dimmer switch. He also explained to me how to install new bulbs when needed and the type of bulbs to purchase. He also cleaned the work area and carried the old fixture to my garage for disposal or storage. I also requested him to look at other electric needs in my home and to explain if the work I wanted was possible. He answered all my questions and assured me an estimate of the future work I want done will be sent by email YES, I WOULD DEFINITELY?. use Alpha Contracting again. I would describe this company as Prompt, Knowledgeable, Reliable, Professional, Courteous and Quick.

It went wonderfully. Anthony and his assistant showed up on time, and set straight to work. Lights were installed very fast and they look fantastic. I'm very happy with the work. I was also very happy with how responsive Megan was via email and messages being I can't get to the phone often. I will use Alpha in the future and I would recommend them to other people. This is a fantastic company, they are honest, professional, clean, polite, and do not pressure. A+
