Description of Work: Mixed review . . . | |I had 7 interior ceiling lights and 3 exterior lights replaced with new ones, including 1 new outdoor security light. Everyone was pleasant, went right to it, and all but 1 light was hung to my liking. | |Just before they were leaving, i noticed the light above front door was hung even though it was the wrong type or size for that area. They hung it regardless with bottom of light hitting against top of wood pediment above door. Light could not hang straight. It was my error in choosing an entry light that hung down along wall rather than one that curved up with a raised support. But i thought the installer should have said something to me alerting me to the problem before he hung it. . Too late in day to have them remove it. | |I also had some questions about how they figured the cost. They do not charge by the hour but by the light. I was told that a "troubleshooting" fee could be added for a light if they had difficulty hanging it or if needed to rewire. Before job i was given a price including possible troubleshooting fees. Was told installers would make the determination of final cost. I was charged this full amount even though no one mentioned any problems, and i was told there had been no problems at all. I thought their fees were high. Installers were skilled and finished in reasonable time, sometimes very quickly. Completed job in 1 day. |

Description of Work: Electrical work completed wonderfully, my wife was happy, he charged me half of the normal amount of a service call. He repaired a ground fault receptacle in the kitchen--GFI outlet. Very pleasant and prompt.

Description of Work: I purchased a deal for electrical service. I didn’t feel like I got my money’s worth. The guy was here and gone in a minutes for a very small job.

Description of Work: I purchased this deal: $199 for $400 of Electrical Service with Alpha Contracting. I had another contractor give me a quote for doing the job at $300. Which is why I bought this deal but Alpha Contracting came out and said that this job will cost between $500-600 so I will be getting a refund for this and going with the first contractor instead.

Description of Work: I had a part replaced in ceiling fan in bedroom and a new ceiling fan installed on my front porch. I felt the person doing the work was professional and qualified for the work. He was friendly and I felt comfortable with him being in my home.

Description of Work: When we first saw the job in our front lawn we liked it. After a few days we realized that only half of the front yard was done. We expect the whole yard to be done. When we called Alpha Electric back, they gave us a price that was too high.

Description of Work: I used my Deal ($99 for $229 of electrical work) to have another outlet installed next to an existing outlet in our bathroom. This job did not use up the entire Deal, but the second project that I would have applied the unused $90 on was quoted by Alpha at more than $90 more than another quote I had received for the second project. The work that they did do for me was very good (so even with the $90 credit, it was still cheaper to use someone else). I liked the electrician who came out. He was very personable and did good work.

Description of Work: All went well; they arrived on time, work proceeded well. They did a complimentary check of my electrical panel and found a bare wire, which they fixed for an additional fee. They promised a quote to resolve other less immediate issues with the panel, but I have not heard back from them.
