We purchased a Big Deal (so go the first two hours discounted) and then paid regular rates for the work over two hours. I thought the pricing was extremely fair for the amount of work done. I was pleased by the professionalism of the person who called me to make the appointment after I signed up for the deal. I was also pleased by Anthony's punctuality and demeanor. He came across as knowledgeable, friendly, and considerate. As we discussed the way to approach a couple of the items he was working on, he struck me as practical in his approach as well, not opting for a more expensive and time-consuming way to do things when there was a simpler and less-expensive way to do it. For example, the GFI in our kitchen kept shorting out. He opted to simply replace it (to see first if it was simply bad) rather than trying to troubleshoot every outlet on that circuit. As it turns out, it looks like maybe the GFI is not the problem (the new one is tripping too) but I still think that the incremental approach was the best on in this instance. At the end of the job, I appreciated that he and Mike both made an effort to clean up and take away any trash they had generated. One suggestion for anyone using Alpha (and probably any electrician) -- remember they very well may turn on and off all your breakers. If you have sensitive electronic equipment that can be affected by this, you should power it down in advance of their work. I forgot to do this, one of external hard drives was improperly dismounted from my computer when the power was cut, my photo library was corrupted and I had to rebuild it. It wasn't hard or a big deal but it was a good lesson. I would suggest to Alpha that they may want to advise people to power down such equipment before they start flipping switches. In this electronic age, I suspect I am not alone in the experience I had. I absolutely would use Alpha again and would recommend them to friends and family without hesitation.

Anthony arrived on time and was very professional in appearance, knowledge, and skills. I had him move an outlet from "floor level" to counter height. At that point he noticed the lack of GFI outlets and helped determine the outlet on the circuit that would need GFI. In doing so, he found that two different circuits shared the same ground. He did put a GFI on the new outlet he installed, but was quick to point out that because of this situation, all the outlets will eventually need them. I had him look at a bathroom we are renovating and then the junction box and we came up with a plan for upgrading (and replacing the aluminum wiring) in the kitchen and bathroom as well as increase the power to the house from a 100AMP line to a 200AMP one (replacing the junction box in the process). All in all he was very knowledgeable and knew his craft well. The combination of both will ensure that I will continue to use his services for future electrical work, hopefully beginning the aforementioned upgrades.

We purchased the Big Deal on Angie's List. Anthony returned my call promptly and we arranged for an appointment time that was convenient for us the next week. Anthony called the day before to confirm the appointment which I always appreciate. He arrived promptly - was very friendly and professional. He worked efficiently and did a great job, completing the work within the two hour time frame for the Big Deal. We paid an additional $30 for materials which was not included in the deal and which seemed to be a very reasonable amount. We will most definitely use Anthony again in the future.

I contacted Alpha Contracting, Anthony responded quickly and even came out the same day I called. He arrived promptly and was very professional. While at my home, Anthony was able to change out the remote control for the fan with a wall switch. He also fixed the light issue which was my main concern. If I have electric issues in the future I'll be calling Alpha Contracting!

This was a job we didn't want to do ourselves because of the risk of damaging the wall or the tv. Mr. Rivera worked efficiently and left not a trace behind! We love having the tv on the wall!

Anthony redid a fan fixture with light and fan. I could trust him to shop the fan for me. He stayed within the price I set, found a fabulous fan that fit our style, did not charge extra for finding the fan and light for us and installation was wonderful. Anthony laid conduit (we live in an old brick apartment) for speakers; charges were incredibly reasonable (the audio store wanted to charge me an arm and a leg to have their electrician do it), their was brick dust and he vacuumed all of it up. The job was professional and I saved enough over the charge from other electricians and the audio company to buy the new equipment we needed for our audio system. Wow Anthony put up a chandelier for me and even hung the crystal droplets as part of his service. He is doing track lighting for us and has had to work to find the correct lighting. He stuck with his first bid despite the extra time it took to find the right lighting and made an extra trip out to verify. He has run a switch up to a loft area for us and again, wonderful job. I do not write wonderful reviews very often - seldom for workmanship. Normally, I am cleaning up after the work is done, extra has been added to the bill because the person could not easily find what I had requested. Anthony is the best, very simply put.

Alpha Contracting was polite and professional from start to finish. I got an estimate on the scope of work I described via telephone. The job was scheduled around my availability within a week's time. The electricians were courteous and clean. The fans came out great and there was no loose ends or mess left behind afterward.
