+ 1 moreThe crew did show up on time and surprisingly was finished in 1 day as promised. The only point of concern was that they left a few nail cartridges from their nail gun lying in the yard. We have a 2 year old and the nails were mildly problematic for a few days till we collected them all. Frank, without us having to ask him to, did have them come back and finish cleaning up their pallets from the shingle delivery. Overall, we were pleased with the work they performed. They even left us some extra shingles should we need any repairs later, which was nice. We did run into an issue getting Pope s Roofing paid. When Grady went to the bank they would not cash the check because he did not have 2 photo IDs and was not at a bank he has an established account with. I expected a company to deposit the check into a business account at their established bank rather than cashing it out right. The problem was fixed the next day when I called and my banker assisted him in cashing the check.
Description of Work: Apply new roof over a single layer existing roof. We contracted through Frank Arnette & Sons Siding & Windows for a three piece job of new roof, replace gutters and apply vinyl siding. The roof was replaced due to age and preventative maintenance rather than condition. Frank Arnette subcontracted the roofing work, but asked us to pay the roofer separately, which we had no problem doing. Frank Arnette provided the written price quote, which was $2080.00. He offered us our choice of color and option of taking the old roof off which should have been almost $1000.00 more. Given our budget and the current roof was still intact we chose to leave it in place and roof over the existing one. We did not know who was providing the roofing work till they showed up to complete the task. Frank handled all issues and scheduling.
