+ -1 moreThey came out on Thursday, made the estimate. They returned the following Monday and replaced the unit. They recommended that I consider filing a home owner's insurance claim. An adjuster came out and agreed that the unit had been damaged by lighting and was covered by my policy. Bill and his son William are very professional and take pride in their work. They perform routine maintenance on our HVAC and keep thing running well. I trust their work and recommend them highly.
Description of Work: Outside AC unit was damaged by lighting; AireServ came out, made an estimate and replaced the unit.

+ -1 moreThey came that day and fixed the problem including running new line in flex metal tubing and installing a junction box under the floor so there would be no further problems. The two gentlemen who responded worked well to retrieve additional parts and at least one of them was on premises until the job was done.
Description of Work: Main electric line to my gas pack had been chewed on by mice. The original installer did not put it in with protective tubing. It was arcing.

They actually stayed over until the job is done. I am extremely happy with my new Lennox system, and would definitely recommend Aire Serve to anyone.

+ -1 moreThe service provider stated later that since Freon was added this resulted in additional charges that was not covered by service fee. I further argued that a definitive check for the leak could not have been detected w/o addition of Freon in order to determine repair options, My rating is the result of a lack of professionalism and honesty by tech in advising me of the additional charges.
Description of Work: Our upstairs heatpump was not cooling to the set thermostat temp. I requested Aire Serv to dianose problem. I was told a service fee of $75 was expected to be paid if repairs were not done when dianosis was complete. Technician advised that there was a leak and to pinpoint leak required adding some freon. He did not explain that there would be additional charges above the stated $75 fee. Tech determined that leak was in the reversing valve....he would get back w/me the repair options in a couple days. Upon receiving repair costs I decided another contractor was preferred. I received invoice for $269 w/the explanation that a “leak check” was different than a “diagnostic fee”. I argued that this was not explained to me during the tech’s visit and that I should only pay the $75 service fee.

+ 0 moreAs advertised and as expected, with pictures before/after, and on time. Moreover, it was discovered that the duct was damaged and had restricted air flow for one of the bathrooms. An estimate was developed which we agreed to; and then the work was pre-fabed and installed for a reasonable price. Very satisfied.
Description of Work: Gas Furnace eval, efficiency test, air flow tests, cleaning of burners, filters, tray drain, and inspection of the ducts.

+ -1 moreWasn't an emergency but showed up quickly. Checked system to evaluate repairs needed. Wore protective clothing in the house to prevent bringing in dirt. Technician was very knowledgeable and explained everything as he worked his way through the problems.
Description of Work: Repaired AC/Heat Pump that hadn't been operated in about 6 years. Check system to determine problems. Replaced starting capacitors on condenser and compressor units and had to completely recharge system with Freon.
