E R Chimney Sweep

Pretty strange experience, was going to do a cleaning and replace a cap for $99, showed up to my house and took a dump, then tried to sell $800 worth of repairs, who knows if necessary, either way he did not sweep the chimney and charged $99 to put a cap on.

He showed up the day we planned late. He also didn?t do what I initially contacted Angi about. He fixed my problem and left a problem. He sealed up my fireplace leaks. But never cleaned it out said it was no soot in my fireplace. I had someone come out and after and cleaned it out. He is not reliable. He is very knowledgeable but I feel takes the short way out.

Rodney and team were thorough and explained why repairs were needed. Returned promptly to wrap up additional repairs.

He called to to say he would be a little late. Was very fast working clean & neat will come back to install a S.S.liner will finish my comment at that time.

The job was to inspect the chimney but all he did was look in the hole that you put the flew pipe in he didn't go up and look down the chimney he charged me 99 dollars just to do that job was incomplete

Came when they at appointment time and cleared out our dryer vent clog quickly. Best deal in town highly recommended.

I had a little trouble with scheduling but once that was straightened out they came on time. They ordered me a new chimney cover and came within two weeks to put it on and finish the cleaning.

Said we needed a lot of repairs that he seen while cleaning that came up to over $2,000. Called another chimney sweep for a second opinion before paying that much money out. He cleaned, inspected and said no issue. The 2nd guy has over 40 year of doing it and gets certified every year. When he cleaned it, he got almost a 5 gallon bucket of buildup out. ER chimney sweep cleaned it 2.5 weeks earlier and we hadn?t had a fire in it since ER said it needed all the repairs and we would burn the house. $99 didn?t get us a cleaning at all and if we wouldn?t have got a second opinion, out over $2,000. Would not recommend or trust them.

Charged too much and didn't do what we wanted done.
