Tim Baker is the owner. He required payment in full before starting the job and would only accept a personal check or cash. He advertises that he accepts credit cards, PayPal, cash and check, and financing is available. He ordered the part and said he would call us when it arrived to schedule a time to come and repair the television. We never heard from him and when we called 9 days later he said that he had received the part but was working on another job and would call us back later to schedule a time to come the next day. He never called back and never showed up the next day. We called him the next day and arranged another time for him to come and he never called or showed up then either. We called him back again and he said that he had called and we never picked up the phone. We have caller id and there was no call from him. We requested our money back minus the service fee of $49.00 to come look at the television the first time. We then told him that since he had already ordered the part to dock the service fee and money for the part and refund the balance. He refuses to refund our money and says he never gives refunds. He is also not listed with the Better Business Bureau in Charlotte.

I am so sorry to see this here for it shouldn't be. I contacted the client went to the property reviewed the issue with this unit explained what the issue the tv was having. I told the client what the price would be to repair the unit, and what our policies are as far as making an order for repair. **All repairs are final once a client orders a service there are no refunds after approval for repair, this was explained at the time of the estimate.** As to the ludicrous comment that I required full payment is TOTALLY NOT true, the client failed to report that he is a pilot and that at the time of the estimate he wasn't sure if he was going to be home when the part came in so THE CLIENT decided to pay us in full and requested an estimate for other repairs around the house, I never requested full payment from him. AS to the timeline on the repair I explained to him that the part was being ordered and we are NOT responsible for the time it takes for the part to get here, shipping varies based on the supplier as it was coming directly from Samsung so as soon as it was received we would be out to install it. The Day the part came in we called them and let them know that we were busy that day and that we would call and come out to install it, the clients wife said that would be fine. We were remolding a town home for a client and had a tight deadline for that day the client acted as if it was a put out that we couldn't drop what we were doing and come right out, we do have schedules to keep and appointments must be made. The next day I called the house there was no answer we DO NOT go to homes without contact from the client. A few moments later we received a call from the client we explained that we had tried to contact the client but there was no answer and without communication from the client we could not send a vehicle to the home but I was more than happy to come out and install it then, this was moments after I called him. The part roughly took about 9 day to arrive mind u the normal shipping time is 3-7 days include a weekend in there and u have 9 days as was told to the client and the client agreed and even paid in full, (surprising to me as most people do not offer full payment and I do not request it.) The client responded to my request to come and install the part with a rude and rough tone as to wanting a refund... I calmly asked the client as to why a refund was being requested I had the part in my hands and it was not out of the timeline given to him and he said he was going to have another company come out to do the service. I have the part you ordered and at the time in which I said I would have it, (please understand we can not control shipping times as I do not own Samsung), and he didn't answer his phone as I did answer mine when he returned my call only moments after I called him. The demand for a refund is not justified the part nor the service was poorly handled the client was notified that the part is not returnable as are most parts we purchase and that we had the part as promised and inside the timeline that it was promised he refused to allow us to come install the part which we ordered and he paid for so I am sorry we can not refund monies that have been used to order parts nor to provide service. This is a case of buyers remorse and a true hissy fit as he couldn't get what he wanted when he wanted we can do as much as is in our control. We did everything as promised I am truly sorry this happened but I will not refund monies for repairs for threats of bad press like this for the statements that the client has made are untrue I was more than happy to fix the Tv as the part was and still is in our possession if you wish to change your mind we would be happy to finish what we were paid to do but I am sorry threats of bad press doesn't effect my decision to not refund you your money when we did EXACTLY what was requested of us and I NEVER required full payment... A service call is due at the time of pick up if the part is not returnable then a 50% deposit is required. I wish I could make this right I hate to see an upset or unhappy client but we did NOTHING wrong here. Thank you....

I had made two scheduled appointments for an inhome TV Repair but the Technician never shown up nor was he contacted me for any delays or postponements. After the first appointment missed, a receptionist called and explained that the Technician will contact me prior to coming to my house to ensure that I was home. There was no such call made (I gave out my work phone and the phone has caller's ID and no such call was made). I was willing to give them a second chance after I received a reply from the receptionist on my complaint and an another appoitment was scheduled at the same time a week later. This time I was also given my cell phone for contacts. I waited for the Service to come and there was another no show. There was no call either to explain the reason for this missed service. This is unacceptable customer service and I strongly recommended that all reviewers should reconsider this company for any future service. I had wasted so much time waiting at my home for this and was strongly disappointed.

This is an example of the poor service he received... Communications with him please pay note to the comment that another tv repair shop had placed a board in the tv twice with no luck in the repair. We did speak with him and yes we did miss the first appointment but we contacted him unfortunately there is traffic in this area and we can not always be on time but we do our best to get from cleint to client. However we did communicate withe the client and let him know that we couldn't help him and that the TV would probably be best replaced. If another shop was unable to repair the tv then there is a chance they did something to cause the issue to not be repairable or the unit is in very bad shape either way I will not open our company up to issues so i gave him a call and explained it. Must have got lost in translation. I am sorry to see this but we offer a fast friendly service and I do my best to try and help clients before I get onsite if I am not needed then why charge the client. The owner, Tim, came out to check on our TV. We had replaced the bulb, but still were not getting a bright picture. My husband had researched the possible issues which could have been the bulb, color wheel and/or the light engine. Tim looked at our replacement bulb and explained the differences between the types of bulbs you could get (we had purchase a cheap one). He brought out a new bulb (at a later date) which improved the picture a bit, but not enough for us to watch the TV. He took some time to check out the TV and was extremely patient with my 6 year old who was interested in what he was doing. He asked her to help him by holding the flashlight and really made an effort to include her while he was working as she was insistent about helping. The issue turned out to be the light engine which he informed me could be replaced, but would cost $700-$800 and it would be better to replace the TV. This supported the research we had done on different parts we might need. The initial service call was $49 which would have been applied to any part we needed to purchase. As we opted not to fix the TV, this was our only cost. He did not charge to come back out and offered several suggestions and affordable prices to replace the TV. Would definitely use them again for repairs and will call when we are ready to purchase a large flat screen.

Have never received a call.
Description of Work: Fairly I called on Sunday so I didn't think they would answer. But I figured I would receive the voice system, so I left a message. May I say I don't typically give bad reviews, I give fair ones. Monday no call...no call and 9 days later for this Review no contact. So, I can only guess that they don't want my business. Perhaps, they are great. I was promted by this site to leave a review whether actual service was performed or even if I tried to use their service. Hence, the reason for this review. I am looking for a TV Repair person IF anyone knows of one in the Charlotte area. Thanks

Tim came within an hour, as promised, from the initial contact. He did the repairs as needed for the price quoted. He was very knowledgeable and diagnosed the issue and completed the job in an hour. First Rate!

All I can say, is the customer service has been FANTASTIC. We've been working with him for 3 weeks on a TV repair/claim from when our house cleaners broke our TV. He's handled the estimate, contacting the cleaning companies insurance, and filing a claim for us. Super prompt with responses and just great customer service. We'll definitely continued customers!!

Joined Angies list as I did not know who to call for service in my area. Called The TV Repair Shop even though it was 7:00P.M. and the owner answered that he was at the shop .Asked where I was and he stated he was going to deliver a T.V in the area and would be happy to stop and fix my set... He arrived at about 9:00 P.M. Would use again
Description of Work: Needed a lamp for my T.V. The owner came put out in the evening just as the ad states(24 hour service) He was punctual, polite and very professional. I will definitely refer him and would use him again.

Excellent service. Exactly what a consumer is hoping for when looking for repair service.
Description of Work: After having my 1999 Toshiba HD Cinema series looked twice due to a convergence problem, and neither time having it worked on successfully we had decided that we had two options; 1- try to watch a tv with the blues and yellows all over the screen or 2- throw out the tv and buy a new one. Before opting for option 2 we decided to make one last attempt and so I called these guys off the internet and knowing nothing more than that. They came out the same day I called them, found out my TV was too big to take with them so they scheduled an appt to come back to my house the next day to fix the convergence at my house. They came the next day, were on time, spent 1 hour and now my TV is as good as new. Excellent service. I would recommend them to anyone and will definitely use them again.
