Ready to give up on good Customer Service; positive—-they showed up on time; hard workers. The negative side: unhappy with the outside caulking around outside edges of window:; a slight dent along edge of sliding door,. The Head installer said I hollered at him when I asked about the deficiencies. Trying to make me feel bad because I wanted to know why the caulking looked bad. A professional young man arrived on time. He gave me a written estimate, then called a couple days later, saying his math was wrong, by over 3,000.00. The Wadells, that physically stand on their windows on TV, didn't stand by their salespersons estimate. Having been a business owner of large farm equipment....combines, silage choppers, hay equipment, my sales staff made mistakes, but to keep my customers, I ate the loss. The two men were very professional and knew what they were doing. They did a great job.

After two visits by the salesman and measurements we agreed on the quote. Upon asking about necessary Rock Hill city permits we were told they do not file city permits. We went with another contractor who will file the necessary permits.

Pricing was good, that?s why we went there. On the windows, everything was so bad that I wrote back to them. They threaten me to go to the courthouse, and we finally settled out of the court with a lesser amount of money. So, with that they are gone, they?re done. This was the World of Windows.

John did the work. A very nice man and professional. Would definitely use him again.

About eight years ago I purchased replacement windows (10) for my whole house from WOW. I recently noticed that there was a permanent film on one of the widows. I called WOW and they said they would manufacture the custom window and get back with me. A few weeks later I received a call to set up a date to deliver and install the window. Matt from WOW came out, installed the new window and gave me a quote I requested for doors. Everything went very well. WOW definitely stands by their products. This seal problem has happened in the past and I experienced the same quick response from them. If I ever move and need new windows I will call WOW.

Have had windows installed both in my home and later at my place of business within last 1.5 years. In both cases Trevor came, explained product options and did measurements. Windows were installed on schedule and done professionally. After installation there was one minor problem that was quickly remedied to my complete satisfaction. World of Windows is very professional, provides excellent customer service and value. I recommend them and will use them again. Chad Smith

Went really well. This is the second time I've used this company and they make the process pretty painless. They were the best quote for some of the nicest windows. I still have a couple of windows left and I still need to get the fascia boards wrapped to make my home maintenace-free. I will work with them again!

Contract signed 6/11/14 with a 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed by Owner We paid 1/2 down as agreed $9,500.00. Windows ordered. July 16th, 2014 - First day of Installation. Job was promised to be completed in 2 days - Job NOT completed in 2 days. Installers never returned after November 14, 2014. Due to Installers being careless our personal property was damaged in the amount of $3,650.00. We are NOT 100% Satisfied in the LEAST due to the FACT that it took 17 weeks to somewhat complete a job that was promised to be completed in 2 days. We are extremely UNSATISFIED due to the FACT that the vast majority of work done was inferior and one of the installers fraudulently covered up rotten wood and lied about it - FRAUD. He THREATENED the female owner. The POLICE were called out while the OWNER of World of Windows was there with the threatening Installer. Tim Waddell was asked NEVER to trespass again to our home. Therefore, after this turn of events; the FACT that one of World of Windows installers COVERED up ROTTEN WOOD and LIED about it - FRAUD - the OWNER made the executive dicision to uncover every window wrapped and redo each and every window at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE. The Owner decided that on November 14, 2014 he no longer would correct any additional errors to the job. We were presented a Bill of the balance due of $9,500.00. We subtracted the $3,650.00 of damages done to our property and personal belongings making a new balance owed of $5850.00. We presented the check in the amount of $5,850.00 to Tim Waddell. He became belligerent and DEMANDED the original balance due of $9,500.00 with NO consideration of the damages known to him in the amount of $3,650.00. Additionally, we UNHAPPY due to the FACT that World of Window Installers SMOKE on the JOB. Installers SWEAR using the F-word constantly. Installers parade SHIRTLESS outside on our grounds while working. Installers arrive LATE to work. Installers on more than one occasion were a NO-SHOW to work and NEVER CALLED to inform us. We asked continuously throughout this lengthy process for the installers not to smoke, not to swear, not to go shirtless, to arrive on time, and to show up or at least call to inform us otherwise. We were more than patient, lenient, and bent over backwards to accommodate each and every date requested to come at the choosing of World of Windows, not our choosing of times or dates. Our lives were put on hold, and other additional work being done to our home was delayed and delayed due to a particular installer COVERING UP ROTTEN WOOD and THEN LYING ABOUT IT - BEING CAUGHT RED-HANDED. Overall, this was the WORST EXPERIENCE we have ever been through. We would NEVER recommend World of Windows to anyone. They lied, covered up rotten wood, and tried to cheat us. They were caught red-handed and then threatened one of us. The POLICE were called out to our home. Owner was banned from our premises and so was that installer who tried to CHEAT us; claiming he replaced all the rotten wood. Which he did NOT. We give World of Windows an: F minus - the WORST.

The order was placed which took an additional 2-3 weeks because of the specialty glass that was on the door. The door was installed without complications, however, there were several defects on the slab of the door and the wrong hardware was delivered. No problem...A new slab was ordered along with the correct hardware and it was installed within 4-5 weeks. They also installed the new trim on the interior of the door. Installer really knew his business and everything went off without a hitch. Several small glitches to start with but the company made good on everything without so much as a single question. Would highly recommend!

They were excellent. The quality of the windows is great, the installation went very well and when we had one issue where we found one spot that they hadn't caulked, they came back out very timely and they did that for us.

The product that they were offering was superior and they took less than 4 hours to complete the job. It was fast.

Not well. From the beginning, no show for the measuring appointment. Then we finally submitted the order and about one hour before the scheduled installation time, I received a call that they couldn't make it. I had delayed a road trip waiting for them to show up. This put me on the road late. I called in a make up time. No one called back to let me know if that time was available. Instead they just showed up. I wasn't at the location and had no way to change plans to get there. It was finally completed (the first half). The second half of the installation should have gone better, but it didn't. The windows were ordered and when they arrived, an installation time was scheduled. The evening before the appointment, I received a call that the installers were not going to be available and it would be assigned to someone else. That next morning the back up installers called to indicate that they wouldn't have to take on another installation. Finally a few weeks later, another appointment was set and the installers came but one window couldn't be installed because of a valence that needed to be removed. Had this been pointed out before the install date, I could have arranged for it to be removed. So when I finally got this custom made and fitted valence down, again the installer canceled the day of the appointment and a different team called and I mentioned that a thermostat in one of the window areas from the first install, was not working now. At that point, they canceled because they wanted the original installer to come out and check it and install the last window. Finally, the original installer was scheduled and actually showed up. The other thing is that although the husband and wife team who did the first half of the installation were very friendly, I found debris in every room after they left. What I really didn't like was that they force you to fill out an evaluation form before they leave. I think we should have the option of filling it out, and it should be left with the customer to fill out later. I definitely would not have rated some things as high as I did.

I started by filling out the contact information on their website and was contacted by their office within the hour. The salesman Ben Fincher set up an appointment and showed up promptly at the scheduled time. There was no sales pressure and he answered all my questions. I had already done a substantial amount of research on windows in general, Ben respected that and answered all my questions directly. There is a lot of negative information about the parent company when do you an on-line search. However, most of the dissatisfaction is with the franchises, and not with the product. The company has a franchise model and the service you get is directly related to the franchise you are dealing with. In addition, the franchises use a contractor model where the contractors are paid per job leading to often shoddy installations. In fact, the company does not manufacture any windows. They are a private label that sources its windows from the Window giant called ALSIDE. The 4000 series windows sold by World of Windows is the same as Alside's Excaliber series and the 6000 is Alside's Sheffiled. My 3 main concerns about doing business with this company was 1- Franchise I was dealing with 2- Delivery time 3- Installation Because of this I placed a test order for one window with laminated glass which has an STC rating of 33-34. The price I got was lower than regular double panes offered by many companies. The Charlotte franchise seems to be well run. The staff is polite & courteous. I placed the order on the 24th of February. I got the window in 3 weeks (as said by the salesman). The window was installed on the 20th of March. The installer was Bob Griffin, a contractor who works exclusively for Window World of Charlotte. The window was installed in our home office and has made a big difference. The outside noise level has dropped significantly and the room seem to maintain a constant temperature. I also cannot hear the outside wind even if it is blowing hard outside, which is a testament to a good installation. Eventually, I intend to replace all the windows in our house. I intend to have it done by Window World of Charlotte

This company is extremely professional and has a fair price for a quality product and work. They know the rules (code) on what kind of product must be installed to meet minimum requirements, and perform the details needed to make the entire installation look good and work well. They were able to exactly match the trim color on the windows with the color of my home. The windows work fantastically well, and present a major upgrade to my property. My tenants got jealous when one unit was done, and now all tenants want these windows... which is the only "downside" for me! The most amazing thing to me is the life time warranty that is presented this product. I told them if all my repairs and improvements came with this kind of guarantee - well I would have no more maintenance to do!

I was very impressed by the courtesy and professionalism of everyone we had contact with from the initial phone inquiry through the estimator, office staff and manager. Everyone was very knowledgeable and helpful in answering all my questions. The work was completed within the timeframe we were originally quoted, the workers were prompt and did an amazing job.

It was mediocre at best. It took them 4 times to do it right. There was no charge because it was a lifetime warranty. It was just an inconvenience. They are very nice because I’m not spending any money. Their people shows up when they said they were going to.

These guys were very friendly and fast and they didn't fiddle with marking the prices up so they could bring them down- they told us their lowest price for the windows we wanted and said ti would be a few weeks before install could happen- but then pleasantly surprised us with being able to install them much earlier. The windows look great and our house is so much nicer now. They had to install an enormous front picture window and it took all of therm to carry it- but they did it beautifully and it really looks sharp. They added the gas and sealed it all up and were done so quickly you really have to give them a try!

Overall I feel this provider deserves an A rating for the quality of the service and the installation crew. Initially, I had a couple of mis-starts with getting a salesman to my house which ended up being a back office miscommunication. Once the salesman showed up he was very knowledgeable and had all of the samples with to show the differences between his product lines. Overall Price was great, with the provider offering a flat rate for all window sizes. Ordering was simple, however they usually do not accept American Express credit cards which might be an issue for some. Once the order is placed it takes 4 to 6 weeks for delivery (mine was closer to the 6 weeks). This installation crew was very professional and thorough with their work. I was replacing all of my windows so the install process took about 5 hours. The installers made sure I was aware of all the steps the would be doing in the install and since I had the time they didn't mind my looking over their shoulder. They make sure all the windows were perfectly sealed and water tight which was very important to me. I really believe his products are superior to Anderson or Pella windows but offers a great price point. I would highly recommend this provider.

Salesman arrived on time. No sales pressure. Windows were ready when stated and installation crew arrived a couple hours late due to prior job taking longer than estimated, but they had my windows installed very quickly. Installation crew were very polite, clean, and respectful. All work was done as stated and site cleaned up prior to their leaving. I would use World of Windows again. Great price and great service!

Salesperson Trevor was very understanding of what I needed not pushy we found the best solution to my problem walked me through the process , it took six weeks to make the windows , contractor Chris was on time both days very professional cleaned up after his crew talked me through the process met all expectations would certainly use them again

They were very professional, helpful and came in quite a bit under the competition. I found them by accident because I walked in their store by mistake. I thought I was going to one of their competitors. I ended up talking with the person at the front desk and she was very friendly. She pointed me to where the competition was, where I was originally headed. She told me to come back and see what they had after I was done, so I did. They set up an appointment and it was all very timely; they came when they were supposed to. They built the windows from scratch and quoted it would take three weeks. They were accurate with their quote and did not hold me up because they knew I was waiting on them because I was going to do a paint job afterwards. They were great. The price was good; it was definitely more than I wanted to spend in a day but they came in under everybody else.

Work went well. Exception was the estimator who came to our job, was let go between us going into contract with them for the job and the time the job was actually done. This caused a few problems with understanding of how work was to be done. The work crew let us know that his over promising and then under delivering was reason one reason for his being let go. Negotiated with owner of this Window World location, he was not happy but completed work as we had agreed, was paid in full for work. Work was done satisfactorily, but not without a few ruffled feathers, because of the above.
