Window World & Siding Co Inc

We just had an issue with one of the windows, Window World & Siding Co Inc came out and they did a fabulous job. They fulfilled the warranty 100% and they're happy to do it. They were excellent when they installed the windows and when they came out to fulfill the warranty 5 years later. They were quick and efficient. They're very good.

This was a great experience. We will use Window World again and recommend them for window replacement.

I went to the store, choose the right doors and they came out to take the measurements. A few weeks later the doors arrived and were installed right away.

They were really nice but we didn't use them. We thought their prices were a little on the high side. The salesperson was really nice.

Window World's estimate/quote process was similar to several other companies we checked with. We decided to go with them because they were a little cheaper than others and they had such good reviews on Angie's List. The salesman wasn't pushy & was easy to reach when we had questions. A couple of days after we signed the contract, Calvin came out to measure each window so they could be ordered. The *only* hitch in the entire process came when Calvin called to schedule the appointment for our installation. He called me once on a Monday & once on a Tuesday, and left very basic messages - just his name/company name & asking me to call him back. I didn't get the impression there was any rush. I happened to be VERY busy those days (usually I'm not), and didn't return his call until Tues afternoon. He then told me that he'd had an opening to do our work later that week, but had filled it since I didn't call him back. It was another week and a half until they could get to our house. That was a little frustrating since we were SO excited about getting our new windows. The crew arrived around 8 AM each day to work on our house. We were impressed with them because they were consistently friendly, professional, and curteous. My toddler still takes a nap mid-afternoon, so I told them & asked if they could work on his window first. They had no problem doing that, and then went on to the next closest window to get it done too. They did their best to work as far from him as possible while he was napping, and even to do certain portions of the job that didn't make as much noise! They were very good about laying down tarps inside & outside, watching out for our bushes near the windows, etc. We were also having a problem with kudzu bugs swarming the house while they were working. By the second day the bugs were especially bad. The workers went to great lengths to pull out the old windows & get the new ones in as quickly as possible while letting as few bugs into my house as they could. (Three men working simultaneously on one window to do the swap!) They truly went above & beyond what I would've expected. Throughout the 2 1/2 days of work, they would periodically call me outside to show me what they were doing or make sure I was happy with the look of things. (I'm a bit picky, I admit it.) I liked this "progress report" much better than just one big review of things after the work was finished. All said and done, we were very pleased with the way they worked, the quality of their work, and the attitudes & work ethic of the men themselves. We felt very comfortable with them here & plan to hire the company again in the future for additional work.

My daughter's room was quite chilly, our home is over 50 years old. We had 5 windows [3 as part of a large picture window] completely replaced in her room. They were extremely professional, finished the work in about 7 hours, and did a really nice job preparing our home beforehand and cleaning up their mess. You couldn't even tell we'd just had men in and half of a main wall ripped out to replace the giant picture window. We've noticed a huge difference in my daughter's room. We barely even need to turn the heat on now. We are seriously considering using them for other windows in our drafty old house!

Window World & Siding responded very promptly to my request for an estimate. We needed two doors on the back of our house that led out to the deck replaced prior to a big deck project. One door was an old sliding glass door and simply needed to be replaced with a new, more attractive sliding door. The second door was a strange exterior door with sidelites that was starting to rot through and that was practically unusable as it opened right into our dining room table. We weren't sure what type of door to replace it with as we wanted to retain the largest door opening possible and wasn't sure that we could do that if we went with a sliding door. Macky was able to figure out that the wall opening for the door and sidelites was larger than it looked (it had been installed with shims) and we could actually put in a rather large sliding door. The doors were installed a couple of weeks after we contracted for their purchase and install. The team that put them in was very competent and courteous and finished in one day. They were also good with my little children who wanted to watch the whole thing. I was very pleased with how this project turned out. I would certainly look to Window World & Siding should we need further door or window work.

Everything went well. We were pleased with everything.

Company representative came out within 5 days to 1) show sample of a window; 2) disucss window replacement options; 3) describe labor included in price; 4) general warranty terms; 5) timing of window delivery and installation; 6) pricing/estimate. Agreed upon price and timing; Signed contract and financing terms. 2 days later, company representative showed up on time to measure the window openings before windows could be ordered. 3 weeks later, called to say the windows were in and to schedule installation. Day of installation - showed up on time and began the process. Took down the rest of the window covers that I had not been able to take down; explained the process of how the window would be taken out, new window installed, and external vinyl wrapping put in place. It took 2 1/2 days to complete installation. They also helped to put brackets back up on the windows so I could hang the blinds. They went the extra mile and did extra cauking around 2 window dormers known to have leaked in the past. This is an old house that has settled through the years. Not every window was square, so these guys had to work extra hard to level out the windows and ensure they were sound. All windows look beautiful and are very tightly installed. Excellent job!

I don't have anything really bad to say about them, we had a really good experience all around. As far as the pricing goes, their estimator was very courteous, professional, honest, and straightforward. The companies pricing was very competitive. As far as the installation crew, they were very professional, courteous, and did a good job. I though they were very good.

They came on time, they cleaned up, and they were just very efficient. The price was what I expected. I would give them a call in the future if I need them.

We called in to get an estimate of the cost of replacing our old sliding glass door. Calvin was able to come out the very next day. He was not only punctual, he was slightly ahead of time! Calvin was very polite and professional, and gave us clear guidance as to our choices, even when that meant steering us away from options that would have increased the cost (and their profit), which made us feel very comfortable with choosing this company. We had to wait for the door to get shipped to them, but within a day of its arrival they scheduled the installation for the very next day. Although they said it would take three hours, it actually took quite a bit less. The finished product was beautiful, far surpassing our expectations. We were very pleased with this company and plan to use them in the future.

The entire process was orchestrated well. When Sean and his crew arrived to install the windows, they introduced themselves and went right to work. They installed the windows from the outside and came inside as needed. They took three days to complete the job and they cleaned up all debris. They were quite careful with our pets and furniture. All three installation guys were quite personable-- you felt as if you had known them for years. We love the job they did--it is the installation process that makes the window complete. Calvin knew that we were "very picky" and made sure his team knew this as well. After finishing one window in entirety, Wayne called us out to look at it before he continued. It was absolutely perfect! They knew we had looked at several jobs and knew we were looking for a "flawless finish." And that is just what we got!! The Gorell window with the simulated divided light coupled with the beautiful deep-rich cream color is a knock-out. It is just what our long, narrow Williamsburg windows needed. Kudos to Calvin and his team--they are simply the best!!

We decided it was time to replace our old windows, and after researching online, checking the BBB, and checking Angie's List, we decided to contact WW for an estimate. We had already had estimates from other companies, including the national brand with the similar name, but we were impressed with the reviews we saw on Angie's List, so we decided to give them a try. (Plus, they are a local company, and we try to give local companies our business.) The representative, Mr Macky Bundy,was prompt for the appointment. He went around the property with us, and then gave us an estimate of the services. Though we did not end up taking this offer, the estimate did seem reasonable. Mr. Bundy made several followup calls to address any questions we might have, and for the most part seemed professional. I would recommend this company to anyone in the market for windows and siding.

They were really good. They came out and did everything. One screen was torn and I called them back. They came right out and exchanged it for free. I have a lifetime warranty. Everything has been fine.

Their service is really good. If we've had any issues, they were there immediately to fix it. The windows are also quality windows and they look really good.

We scheduled an appointment with Calvin to give us an estimate. Calvin arrived at the appointed time and measured the windows. He was competent, straightforward, and honest, and he applied no pressure whatsoever -- just the type of contractor I like to work with. Of particular importance to me were the following: (i) Window World uses its own crew for installations, not subcontractors; (ii) the crew members have years of experience with the company; and (iii) the windows needed to closely match our exterior paint, as well as cherry woodgrain on the interior. We signed the simple agreement with Window World and paid the 30% advance payment, which I thought was reasonable. Calvin indicated that the windows would arrive in 6-8 weeks, and that installation would be scheduled upon delivery to the company. Calvin called five to six weeks later and scheduled the installation for the following week. Sean's crew arrived on-time and worked very professionally to install the windows. I stayed home from work for several hours on the first day, but I was very impressed with the crew and comfortable allowing them access in my absence thereafter. The windows were installed in three days. Sean and his crew removed and replaced the blinds, and there was no mess whatsoever. He and the crew were polite, respectful, and easy to trust. I could not have been more pleased with their work. The Gorrell windows have been in for a month now, and we like them very much. The colors matched on the inside and outside, actually even better than we had expected. The house was immediately quieter, and I believe that we will see an impact on our energy bills. However, the main reason that we purchased the windows was to enable opening them to let in the fresh air. This is not something that we can readily do in the winter, but we're looking forward to airing out the house this Spring. The windows all seem to work just fine, and they look very good. I get the sense that if a problem develops, Window World will quickly resolve. In short, I would highly recommend this company.

This is the second time I have used Window World and they were outstanding both times. Showed up on time, were very considerate and clean, and did a great job.

I did not use them because their price was higher than another company we used. They were prompt when they came out to deliver the quote and they sounded like somebody who was knowledgeable. They sounded like a great company and would probably have done an excellent job but the other company fit within our budget better. They explained everything and I will consider using them again in the future.

The overall experience was fantastic! The windows and french door look awesome. We were a bit apprehensive about replacing the door because of the horror stories we've seen on TV about door openings not being square, etc. The guys did a great job with the installation and the door looks great! The guys noticed that we had an alarm system sensor on the old door, so they prepped the new door to make it easy for the alarm company to reinstall a new sensor. The alarm technician went out of his way to tell us that "whoever did your door installation really knew what they were doing...they made my job real easy". We are so grateful to the guys for taking care of the little things, which made this a "no worry" experience. We will definitely use Window World again for upcoming window and door work on the front of the house, plus some siding work we plan to have done.

The windows made the house look young again. Gentelmen started about 8am and finished about 2pm. There work was a thrill to watch in the order they got things done. Very good company to deal with and got them installed about 2 weeks earlier than expected.

I went to the show room to shop bay window, Calvin came over to measure my window opening. Sean and crew came over at my house at 8 and took old two windows down and install new bay windows. They were professional, worked hard and cleaned up very well and left a little after 1 p.m. I am very pleased how is my new window now.

Overall they did a great job. This is also the forth time that I have used them.

From start to finish, everything went without a hitch. After researching different window companies on Angie's List, I decided to go with WindowWorld and Siding Co. Janet answered the phone when I called the office. She was very helpful and told me she would have Calvin call me back. I didn't have to wait long for Calvin's call to set up an appointment. Calvin is great because he seemed to really want to help me come to the best decision as to what I wanted to purchase. He told me what was available, offered several suggestions as to what would work and look the best for my house. Calvin is easy to work with and does not apply any pressure. (He would have lost my business if he had.) He has worked in this business for many years and knows what he is talking about! When the windows and door were ready, Calvin called me to set up an appointment that was a convenient time for me. The installers--Wayne, Shawn and Jack--showed up on time. They had years of experience and had the installation down to a fine art! They were hard workers, but would stop to answer my questions. They were professional, pleasant and were very proud of the work they do. I knew I had nothing to worry about! They also did a great job of cleaning up. I love my new windows and door. They make such a big difference. From day one, my A/C didn't run as hard as in the past. The house is far more comfortable, quieter, and the view is alot better without the obstruction of the old storm windows. Thank you, WindowWorld and Siding Co., for a job well done!

The crew's arrival was punctual and they worked very hard to get the windows completed. The work took a couple of days due to the new window having to be cut from the existing area. Overall, happy with results. They began work on the hottest day, with heat in the 98 degree range, but were able to work quickly to get the windows in place. I have not noticed a difference in the power bill, so now unsure if I need to have the A/C checked. The house is definitely quieter though. We no longer hear cars/birds/dogs howling outside of the house! Can tell a difference in one room facing the sun. It feels cooler if you stand in front of the windows in that room. We would have liked the inside plaster to look a little better where the new window was cut in the master bath. I have since hung a curtain over the area as it has imperfections even with sanding down the spackle and repainting the area. We even tried to respackle the area and resand. The outside required vinyl siding to be replaced due to the new window and they were able to match it up perfectly. This is amazing since the siding is 15 years old! One suggestion that I would make is to have a final walk around with the homeowner. Also, I would like to have someone call to check on the work after the fact--maybe a couple of weeks or so after completion would be nice. Still awaiting my warranty information in the mail, but hopefully will arrive soon (they said should come in mail two weeks after work completed). I tried to walk around while they were working to check on progress and they definitely worked diligently to get the work done. The windows look great and we are pleased overall with Window World. Are considering having doors installed next!
