+ -1 moreThey were very pleasant. It looked really good. It is easy for me to slide. They even took the first door back for me which was 8 feet long. I was able to get my money back which was really important. Later on, I had a little problem with a button on the bottom of the door because I was having trouble latching the door. He said he would call me back and didn't, but I didn't pursue it anymore. I think if I would have, he would have serviced the door again. I was able to fix it myself. Their service was excellent. I was pleased.
Description of Work: They replaced a sliding glass door that I had bought from Home Depot. The original door I bought didn't work, so they came out, took out the old door, and put in a new one.

Description of Work: Removed & replaced 3 kitchen windows. Removed & replaced side entry door to garage. Removed & replaced front door & side windows. Door on front, did not close to my satisfaction. Men doing the install agreed and made the necessary corrections. This caused them to fall behind schedule but job was completed to our satisfaction.

+ 2 moreI contacted Window World in the fall along with probably 7 or 8 other contractors. Of that, I ended up getting four quotes. Not only were they the most reasonable, they were the only ones who could manage all three projects for us. They started shortly before Thanksgiving and had the entire porch framed out in three days. They weren't able to get back for about a week and a half due, but it wasn't an issue. I told them I was having guest in town in a couple weeks and they knocked everything out in 7-8 days. Overall, we couldn't be more pleased with the experience. We hit two snags in the project, which they addressed immediately and without question. A header beam had to be added for the loft that we didn't anticipate needing. They also had to replace the entire ceiling of the screened in porch because a supplier gave us some bad advice about the material. It wasn't really their fault, but they fixed it anyways. I would highly recommend this company to my friends or family.
Description of Work: Window World built a custom screened in porch, installed a window, and created an interior loft. The screened in porch was built on an existing deck, which certainly helped with the cost. The enclosure measures 12x18' and includes combination shed and gable roof that created a vaulted ceiling in the interior with triangular opening at the top. It turned out great. There was a fair amount of demo work involved since they were forced to remove a rather large awning that covered the rear door. They were also able to reuse the existing railing per our request to ensure everything would match properly. In addition to the porch, we had them install a 30x72" window in an area we desperately needed more sunlight. They matched everything up perfectly and we couldn't be happier. Lastly, we had Window World create a loft area by cutting a 9x4.5' opening in an upstairs wall that opens up onto our great room. It made a huge difference for both rooms and really adds to the feel of the house.

The windows arrived in the time frame I had been given. The installation crew was on time, and completed the job in the time frame alloted. They were respectful of my home and my needs during the installation. The windows all look and work great.
Description of Work: I had four double-hung windows installed to replace the original windows in my home. I live in a condo complex, and they had the exact color and style of windows that I had to match on the exterior.

+ 0 moreBen started off right by promptly returning my call to his receptionist. He came out to our house and to provide a free estimate and brought samples with him. Contracts were clear and easy to read and the deposit was reasonable. He told me upfront that his company was busy (aren't all 'good' companies) and that it may take 2 months before the work could start. A little more than 2 months later and in the middle of the holiday season their crew of 2 guys started work. The work was completed in 10 days, over the New Years and Christmas holidays. After what seemed to be a slow start, the workers methodically worked around the house until the job was done. All work was performed without having to remind them of the specifics I discussed with Ben 2 months prior. On more than one occasion (confirm scheduling, status, completion, and payment) I spoke with Calvin. He is a top notch professional who says and DOES all the right things.
Description of Work: All wood trim, fascia board, gable vents, dormer, etc... on a 10-year-old brick ranch house were replaced and/or covered with vinyl and painted aluminum. Carpentry work on rotted wood was also performed prior to the replacement work.

+ 0 morePlanned installation date was delayed one day due to unforeseen obligations with one of the installers, but this wasn't a problem for us. Installers arrived early and got right to work. Workers were personable, professional and quick. Work completed in one day, with two followup visits required (only because I had to arrange to be home from work one evening so they could work inside). Followups were minor - add siding, because I asked to have an additional piece replaced, and repair drywall where two spots bulged. On the whole, I'm pleased with the work. I had to do a little more prep on the drywall than I had planned, but nothing major. The windows is beautiful, and the work is professional. I'm planning to hire them again for window replacements. Pricing was higher than the competition, but quality of window was commensurately higher as well, and the labor crew was of similarly higher skill.
Description of Work: Work entailed removing a 9' three-panel exterior steel door, replacing water-damaged framing and sheathing. Install custom-built 9' x 4.5' bay window with casements and picture glass on 2' knee insulated knee wall. Reside exterior, prepare interior drywall for paint.

Shawn and his installation crew were incredible and worked hard to ensure everything was done in one day so we could all go and enjoy our Thanksgiving! I'll be bringing them back in the spring to complete the other 9 windows and 2 other storm doors.

+ -1 moreShawn and his crew not only did an excellent job, but went above and beyond what was expected of them. They were on time, polite, and cleaned up any mess they made. My install wasn't an easy one because they had to cut the windows out of my house to get them out but the new windows look great. Shawn also put up a gutter guard that had fallen off my gutter on the second floor and unclogged the gutter! I can't say enough good things about this company.

+ -1 moreThey arrived at 7:30 AM to get started. They brought materials to cover our new ceramic tile floors in the entry and to cover our hardwood floors in their work area. They proceeded to remove the old windows very carefully because they weren't safety glass and were very dangerous to handle. They paid very close attention to their safety handling the old windows. They got them removed with minimal breakage and no injuries, impressive since they weighed as much as 100 lbs each! They then installed the new windows and insulated and caulked around the edges to make them airtight. On the outside they used aluminum trim-coil to seal the outside and give the installation a very good appearance. After they were through they cleaned up so well you would never know they had been here except for the beautiful new windows!
Description of Work: Our living room had three very large, inefficient picture windows. They were 40 year old single pane glass. Two were each approximately 6' by 8' and the third was 6' by 10'. They removed the old windows and replaced them with 7 equal sized energy efficient windows, dual pane, low-e, argon gas insulated windows.

Everything was cleaned up afterwards and all debris was removed. Everyone at this company was super nice and easy to work with. I plan to have new siding installed next year and I will hire this company to do it.

Description of Work: We replaced 10 large double hung windows in our 20 year old home. Once the windows were ordered they were installed within 2 to 3 weeks (as promised). The installation team was very professional and highly experienced in the removal, insertion, and finishing process. All debris was cleaned up and removed. + -1 moreInstallation crew arrived punctually on the date we selected. Sean was pleasant and told us how the job would progress. All windows were installed and caulked in one day. The installation of brick molding was completed the next day. All old windows were hauled away, and the was no scraps left behind for us to clean up. Ben Zaidman, the sales representative, was responsive to our questions and concerns, and made several trips to our home till we were satisfied we had all the information we needed to make an informed decision.
Description of Work: Removed 24 original windows and installed 24 double hung vinyl windows. Installed vinyl clad aluminum brick molding. A few sashes which had flaws, in our judgement, were reordered and relaced quickly.

The workers were courteous and professional and cleaned up every day. The work was completed on time and to my complete satisfaction. The supervision of the projects was good, and the supervisor even pointed out a few minor things that needed to be fixed (at no charge) that I had not noticed as he wanted the job done perfectly. After the work was completed they gave us time to examine the work and met with us and went over everything to make sure we were satisfied.

The installers were very professional and did a great job. We had a small issue with the bathroom window because it needed to be tempered glass so it had to be ordered. Once it came in, it was installed promptly. We also had an additional issue with a window leaking and someone came out the same day we called and fixed it quickly. Good company, good warranty.

+ -1 moreJohn came for the estimate, showed me some samples of siding wrote a fairly high estimate and immediately made it a price issue asking if his quote was the lowest. He did not go into any detail about how the work was to be done, i.e., wrapping the window frames or how the siding was to be hung. When I showed him a better quote, he was a bit disbelieving, but matched the price (almost), but using the cheapest grade siding for the brand he uses. He also made some comments about the other contractor, admitting that he'd never heard of them and be careful; make sure they are licensed and insured (they were) and that they use a quality siding as he'd never heard of the brand they were using (he should have; I found it mentioned in a couple of trade articles I found on vinyl siding). He did give good advice; got me looking at the company and product. Unfortunately for John, it all checked out good. There was never a follow up call made to see if I was still interested.

We decided to move forward with them and they promptly came out to measure the windows and finalize the estimate and contract. We were able to negotiate a price we felt was fair for the amount of work being done and were able to do 12 month interest free financing which was helpful for such a large job. The windows were ordered and arrived in the time that we were told and work was started the week expected. The team doing the job arrived promptly every day and were very respectful of our property and careful not to damage landscaping outside. They did a very good job cleaning up, both inside and outside of the house. They checked in each step of the way to make sure we were pleased with the work. Everything went as expected. I would hire them again to do additional work and have already referred business to them.
Description of Work: We replaced 29 windows through out our home. They removed the old windows and installed the new vinyl (Imperial LS) windows as well as did the exterior capping with vinyl clad aluminum. They replaced four areas of rotten wood prior to doing the installation and capping.
