Called the company for an estimate the last week in April. I had listened to 5 sells pitches when my mother-in-law was looking for windows so I had picked out WindowWorld at that time. I had gotten siding from them a number of years ago and was pleased with their work. Calvin Winans came out, gave me the estimate, I signed the contract on May 5 and got a call that the windows were here May 19. They scheduled installation for May 20 but the windows went to Raleigh (That gave me time to paint the outer window area) and were back in Charlotte for installation on the 21st. They arrived at 7:45 and finished at 11:45. They left no mess inside or out and were very pleasant to work with. I would use them again and recommend them. The window look great and operated much better than the old ones.

Found the co. on Angie's list. Had a few estimates for windows and siding. Window World had comparable cost estimate but we decided on them because of better explanation of materials used, and we liked the presentation better, in general, than the other companies.

This was a very company to work with. They were professional, punctual and completed the work on time. They cleaned up and nobody in my neighborhodd could tell I had contractors in. I can't say enough good about this company and the job they did.

The clean up job was great, they were very prompt, the price was right and were very professional.

Calvin Winans quoted exactly what I requested, as well as a garage mantel and 1 window mantel for the next-door neighbor. Installation took 1 day, careful debris handling, cleanup was good. Professionalism and knowledge very high. Price outshown 2 other quotes.

Calvin arrived early for his appointment on March 31, 2010, measured and gave us the estimate. He told us then it would be 4 to 6 weeks before the windows would be ready since they would have to be custom manufactured. We gave him the go ahead and he called on April 29th and said the windows were in and scheduled the install for the next day. On April 30th three installers arrived at 7:45 a.m. and had the job complete in about 2 hours. One of the installers then replaced the broken siding and the job was complete. Painless from start to finish. The windows are much better quality than the ones the builder used on the house and should last a lifetime. I would recommend this company to anyone that is replacing windows.

It was a very good experience. The sales man who initially spoke to me about windows was fair, thorough, honest and prompt. They were very careful to not disturb my yards and clean when they entered my home.

The guys found a lot more rotten wood than was anticipated. They kept me informed of all the work to be performed, and got my approval before any additional work was done. They kept a clean worksite and didn't charge a huge premium on the added work.

They were great. There were some things that I could have spent money on, but the guy who came out suggested me not to. So, he didn't try to oversell me anything. He did a good job. He explained about what his crew was going to do. The windows look great and the job that they did was great too. I was very pleased with them and I would use their services in the future too.

They were really good. We got to know about them through Angie?s list. They were not cheap, but the products were of top quality. They give superior quality, superior products and superior installation. They are very customer oriented and professional.

Great company, great products! Ben came at the pre-arranged time to discuss options and give me an estimate. He was prompt, courteous and very knowledgeable of the products. I got one other estimate and this one was better. They also had a better discount for Angie's List members. Calvin came out at a pre-arranged time and did measurements. The products were installed several weeks later. Shawn and crew were punctual, courteous and very professional. They removed the old windows and door and installed the new ones. They even cleaned the windows/door after installing them. They took down all the blinds before-hand and put them back up afterwards. All debris was removed, both inside and out. The new windows and door look great! I've gotten compliments from several neighbors. The new windows also make the house quieter, there is less noise from outside now. This was a good experience! The company is VERY customer focused. That was obvious from everyone I talked to - either in person or on the phone.

After realizing that our 10-year old builder-grade windows were leaking horribly (rain water was seeping in through the window, going down the wall and pooling out under the baseboards), we decided it was time for replacement windows. We obtained quotes from three different window replacement companies, not exactly sure what we were looking for. A personal referral from a co-worker led us to Window World and Siding. After a very professional, no-hassle, estimate that was free, we decided that Window World would be the best choice for our replacement windows, based on the personal referral, their ratings on Angie's List, and their status with the BBB. Their estimate ($4300) was in the middle of the other estimates we had received (which ranged from $2300 to $7800). Once we made our decision, Calvin came out and did the exact measurements to order the windows. It took approximately 2 1/2 weeks for our windows to arrive, and we were called to schedule an appointment to install. The installation crew (and everyone else with Window World!) were very punctual- actually a few minutes early. Shawn and the other guys on the installation crew (sorry I didn't get your names!) were polite, friendly, and made every effort for a clean installation. They removed their shoes when entering the house, cleaned up all the debris from the removal and installation, and even used glass cleaner to shine all the windows. They didn't even blink when the 2 year old neighbor sprayed water with the hose on the newly cleaned widows- they just shined them up again! They also re-hung the blinds that were too heavy for me, and made sure I would be able to re-hang the blinds on the rest of the windows after the caulk had time to dry. They even made sure to leave all the information for the Energy Star rating so we could get our tax credit for the new windows. The windows so far have been excellent- the new low-e glass has made a huge difference in our bonus room above the garage, which is less insulated and receives direct sunlight every morning. And best of all- no more leaks! We have already recommended Window World and Siding to our neighbors, and would recommend them to anyone in the Charlotte area who are looking for affordable replacement windows, a professional crew, and an extremely clean installation!

They made good quote and provided great service. All of the windows were replaced in one day. The crew was extremely polite and professional. We even had a problem with one of the grids on the interior of one window being crooked. The team took a look at the window and replaced the window sash promptly.

After an outstanding experience with our windows, we came back to Window World for soffets and fascia to match all of the windows. Once again, they were extremely professional. They looked out for our home and landscaping. Thanks to their knowledge, we were able to find some rot that would have eventually caused serious damage if it had not been found and repaired. Calvin, Billy and Eric were amazing with their response to questions and last minute additions we decided to add. Everything just kept looking better and better.

The key is in working collaboratively with the quote process. Ben was very thorough, and all details of the quote including price were as quoted!

They were fairly priced. They have a very good warranty. The product is very nice. They put the windows in quickly and efficiently and made sure to clean up after them selves.

Our house has 64 windows and they were all put in poorly so they had rotted over time. The worker that was assigned to our project spent a lot of time with us to figure out what our options were and what we could do to save the most money but still get a good result. The project went very well and we've been very pleased with the outcome.

They were fantastic. They pointed out that it was unacceptable to them for things that I would have probably let go. They installed 13 windows for us. They took a week to finish the work. I did not find anything wrong in the quality of their work.

Window World lives up to its reputation for outstanding service. Ben and all his installers were consistently punctual, called when they said they would, arrived at the agreed time. The work was done efficiently, expertly, and cleaned up immaculately. We received a long list of references, called three and visited two homes on the list. Each one had an outstanding experience with Window World and the quality of the work convinced us to use this company. Ben was available by phone at any time I called, even taking a phone call about buying storm doors when he was on vacation, which I didn't realize until we were well into the conversation and he had patiently answered my questions. The price was lower than we first expected. This company is truly outstanding.

I had a broken half moon window, they came out to measure and give me some options (with grates, or without grates), it had to be custom make and they told me it would be 3 - 4 weeks. In 2 weeks, I got a call that the window was in and make an appointment for the work. The 2 gentlemen came out, removed to the old window, installed the new window and frame in about 2 hours. Everyone was very timely and professional. The installers did a wonderful job, then cleaned up after themselves.

Spoke with Ben on the phone regarding replacing all 9 windows in my condo. I had 3 criteria: budget considerations, timely installation, and windows had to conform to other windows in the condo community. After describing my windows on the phone, Ben seemed to understand quite well the type of window I was looking for, so I asked for a very rough, ball-park idea of the cost even before having him come out to see them. He said it would probably be around $3,100. When he did come out to give me an exact quote (which I believe was the very next day or so), the price per window only increased by $10 because of my old type of windows that he would be removing required extra labor. I understood this and felt that $10 extra per window was a modest amount, especially in light of the fact that the first "quote" was actually a phone estimate. Ben ordered the windows for me immediately, saying that it could take about 4 weeks for the windows to come in. They actually got here in about 3 weeks, which was impressive considering that this took place around the Christmas holidays. I received a call from Calvin to schedule the work, which was done promptly, without my even having to be there. When I came later to see the windows, after the work was done and the workers had left, I was so very pleased. The work was excellent; I could find nothing that didn't appear to have been done correctly, including some really nice caulking. The workers removed all debris; nothing, I mean nothing, was left inside or outside of my condo; and no dirt tracking or messed up paint around the windows. Ben and Calvin, as well as their receptionist, were all professional, friendly and easy to talk with. I'm delighted with the windows, the quality and promptness of the work and the fact that there were no hidden costs... I paid exactly what Ben had quoted me after viewing my old windows. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

They came at the time they said they would. They were very professional.They cleaned up after themselves every day. We were very satisfied with their work.
