It was good. I would use him again in the future. I was very pleased with the work that he did for us. He was professional and friendly. He came on time as well.
Description of Work: He did a bunch of odd jobs around the house for us. A couple of things were fixing the closet shelf and fixed something on the toilet.

The company was very professional in quickly responding to my initial request for an estimate and was just as professional while performing the work. I would use them again.
Description of Work: Pressure washed the exterior 2 story house, replaced garbage disposal, replaced light fixture, repaired a section of a popcorn ceiling, replaced exterior flood lights on 2nd level of house, caulked around exterior wood trim surrounding window and replaced a sink stopper.

We have previously used this company after seeing them on Angie's List and we were so pleased with the work that they had done. They came out and replaced both of our doors because we had some issues with them. I would use them again in the future and recommend them because they were very thorough.

Vince was excellent. His proposal was detailed with estimated work hours and materials cost. During our discussion I asked about additional things I planned to do and he included, separately, each of the items we discussed. I was able to choose the items I wanted completed and knew the approximate cost of materials and labor. The actual invoice was $14 over the estimate due to the cost of materials. I was pleased with the contractor and the work he had done. I will certainly call Vince when I am ready for the additional work to be done.
Description of Work: Enclose the underside of a deck with hardwood lattice (and backing) to prevent visibility from the road (HOA requirement). Haul away old railings from a previous job as well as any debris from this job.

Bizzzy Bee was responsive when asked for an estimate, and spent time walking through the house understanding what was wanted and explaining potential options. The quote was somewhat confusing, but Vince was patient in explaining it to me and clarifying my questions. Not much notice was provided before our start date came up, which made scheduling somewhat difficult, but Vince was clear that they can't always judge ahead of time when a job will wrap up so that they can move on to the next one. Dwayne did the bulk of the work for us, and was communicative, professional and thorough. An excellent job was done providing options, ideas, and ways to do things in a cost-effective way. He also did a good job of touching up work done by others that was not as thorough. I would request him again for future work. The final price was right on the money with the expectations provided at the initial walk-through.
Description of Work: Work included fence repair, sheet rock repair, ceiling repair, banister repair, re-shingling, hanging window blinds, replacing toilet tanks, replacing and installing doors, and capping the chimney.

The door install took longer than the repairman had expected - the threshold had not been installed properly by the original flooring installer and was uneven; it was pouring rain the entire day as he took the door in and out of the house; etc. With all the frustration, he stuck with it and finished the job. We are very satisfied and will call Bizzzy Bee again for more work.
Description of Work: We needed a new bedroom door installed and another resized after a flooring install.

They were fabuluse. The ending amount was more then the original quote. The longer he was here the more I found for them to do. Brian was fabuluse the first day he was there he thought he could get it all finished in one day. But he worked through lunch to get it done. He was there for two more days. He was very respectful. He never sat down or took brakes.
Description of Work: They cocked my outside windows. Replaced missing shingles on my roof. Replaced rotting step board and door frames from front and back door frame. Replaced water damage window seals in my house. Replaced some mold damage to my back door.

Excellent. These guys are so nice, helpful, respectful and professional. They willingly give helpful, do-it-yourself information in addition to doing the job right. I really felt like they wanted to build a relationship to make sure I think of calling them first -- and I will!!! I have had a very hard time finding reliable, professional home services in Charlotte. These guys were a breath of fresh air. If only they did landscaping, housekeeping, auto repair... ;-)

We emailed Vince Curcio (owner) and received a same day response to set up estimate time. Vince did a thorough estimate of lots of items that needed tending to but we decided to concentrate on drywall/ board replacement and new sliding glass door installation. We set up a timeframe for 6 weeks out. He told us what kind of door to purchase and Vince even came by to make sure it was ok. We had a "raccoon problem" which led to a new hole in the roof and Vince said we could add those costs to the job. Rain delayed the original timeframe but they used the one rain-free day to fix the hole in the roof (from raccoons) then started board replacement and drywall repair in the interior. They found termites when they started replacing outside boards and shoddy roof work that they shored up for us. When the door was put in, they found a problem (it wouldn't close which we couldn't tell from looking at it) and ended up taking it back to the home supply store and exchanging it for me so they could finish the job. They did a great job even though we kept having little curve balls thrown their way! We have more work to complete on the estimate and when funds allow we will be calling Vince to help us again.
Description of Work: Had water damage next to fireplace that effected drywall inside living room and on outside clapboard that needed to be replaced. Also needed to replace rotting French doors in living room. Had other wood trim that needed replacing too.

They were very good. They did everything they could to please me. One time they even came out in the rain! They wanted to satisfy me and weren't going to give up until they had. I was frustrated at how long it had taken, but the problem was hard to find. They were pleasant, they never complained once about how many times they had to come out and there was never an extra charge. They cleaned up very well after themselves.
Description of Work: They repaired a leaky chimney. I had my roof redone and after that was finished, the chimney started leaking. The Bizzzy Bee worked and worked on this, it took them a couple months, but they got it! They tried flashing and caulking, but then they learned that the concrete had worn, so they sprayed the chimney and resealed it.

Got estimate from Vince in February, but work couldn't start until April because of weather conditions, window toppers that needed to be ordered, and the backlog of work with the contractor. When the work started, the two professional workmen came every day (expect weekends) for 6 days until all the jobs were completed. The workmen were skilled and very polite. We felt perfectly comfortable with them at the house. They didn't play any radios and they didn't smoke, which my wife appreciated very much. And they were careful of her extensive gardens. She had no plant casualties. The work was all completed on time and under budget. Vince did a progress billing a couple days into the project and he seemed a little anxious about getting a local check for the final payment the day after it was finished. This was not a problem for us, but it seemed a little paranoid. The workmen hauled away all their trash and supplies and left the place in great condition. We were very pleased with the work.
Description of Work: Replaced window toppers. Replaced sill over the garage that had water damage. Power washed the house and back deck. Stained the deck. Replaced gaskets around roof vents. Patched and repaired exterior damage to siding and trim caused by squirrels. Replaced exterior light fixtures.

It went very well. I am very pleased. When I called in I actually spoke with the owner. They also call to follow up on how satisfied you are with their work. The quote for the install on the storm door did not include the install of the bird house and pole. They took care of both and I am very pleased.

I just gave them keys and let them do the work. So I cant really describe it in detail. I would go to work and come home and see the progress. They were done in 3 days (which for what they had to do seemed really quick!) and they completely cleaned up everything. The price was higher than the estimate but that was because there were problems that could not be seen on the initial inspection so that was not their fault.
Description of Work: Bizzy Bee fixed some water damaged floor rot and supporting structure, pulled up old deck boards, repaired deck substructure and put down new deck boards.

They have, apparently, 11 men who work for them. Some are fast and competent. Some are slow and competent. Some are slow and not so competent. Each time a different person came, and each time they didn't know what the previous person had done or been told. They were all extremely nice, very pleasant, agreeable, but this job ended up taking 22 hours to complete. Part of that was our fault, because we had ordered the wrong door from a home improvement store. But part of it was that their workers were slow, and some of them not terribly skilled. They knocked 5 hours off the bill as a courtesy, but we still ended up paying $120 for the first job and $750 to install a $180 door.
Description of Work: We hired them originally to replace a warped window frame in our entry door. After removing the existing frame, they discovered that the manufacturer no longer made that part, so we were left with a door with a hole in it. We decided to buy a new door and have them install and paint it, take hardware from the original door and install on the new door, and add a keyed deadbolt and a peephole.

I AM SORRY THAT YOU FEEL THE WAY THAT YOU DO BUT YOUR ASSESSMENT IS NOT ACCURATE OR FAIR. YOU MAKE IT SOUND LIKE MULTIPLE CREWS WERE WORKING AT YOUR HOME TO INSTALL A DOOR. HOW DO YOU ACCURATELY JUDGE OUR ENTIRE COMPANY OF MEN WHEN ONLY TWO DIFFERENT MEN WORKED AT YOUR HOME? THEY WERE BOTH WELL EXPERIENCED MATURE MEN. THIS IS NOT ABOUT THE SKILL OF MY MEN OR COMMUNICATION. THE ONLY COMMUNICATION ISSUE WAS A QUESTION OF WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO SUPPLY THE PAINT. YOU HAD FORGOTTEN THAT IT WAS ALREADY PURCHASED BY THE FIRST MECHANIC AND WAS SITTING IN YOUR GARAGE. THE REAL ISSUE IS THAT YOU ARE UPSET ABOUT THE PRICE. IT WAS HIGHER THAN NORMAL FOR REASONS BEYOND OUR CONTROL. IF POSSIBLE, YOU WANTED US TO SAVE YOUR DOOR. I TOLD YOU UP FRONT THAT EVEN IF WE COULD NOT SAVE YOUR DOOR IT WOULD BE AN ADDITIONAL EXPENSE TO TRY. YOU AGREED TO HAVE US TRY. WE HAD TO TAKE YOUR OLD WINDOW FRAME OUT TO A SUPPLIER TO GET AN ACCURATE MATCH. THERE IS NO WAY FOR THEM TO KNOW IF THEY HAVE WHAT WE NEED WITHOUT LOOKING AT IT. WHEN WE FOUND OUT THAT THEY NO LONGER CARRIED THAT STYLE, WE TRIED TO GET A MATCH THROUGH ALTERNATE SUPPLIERS. WHEN WE COULD NOT FIND A MATCH, WE HAD TO SEAL THE DOOR UNTIL WE COULD COME BACK AND PUT IN A NEW ONE. THE NEW DOOR THAT YOU PURCHASED WAS THE WRONG DOOR AND WE HAD TWO TRIPS TO THE STORE TO WORK THAT OUT. YOU KNOW HOW TIME CONSUMING THAT WAS. EACH OF THESE THINGS ADDED EXTRA TIME AND LABOR CHARGES TO YOUR BILL. NOW ADD THE ADDITIONAL HARDWARE YOU REQUESTED TO BE INSTALLED AND A COUPLE COATS OF PRIMER AND THEN PAINT. THAT’S WHY YOUR BILL WAS HIGHER THAN NORMAL. I GAVE YOU A DISCOUNT BECAUSE I FELT BAD ABOUT THE WAY THAT EVENTS TURNED OUT. IF THE WINDOW FRAME HAD BEEN AVAILABLE YOU WOULD BE PRAISING US FOR SAVING YOU MONEY. INSTEAD, YOU DECIDED THAT I SHOULD WAVE ALL OF THE EXTRA TIME SPENT WORKING ON YOUR BEHALF TO SAVE THE DOOR BECAUSE IN THE END IT WAS NOT POSSIBLE. I am obviously unhappy with this company, and at least one of it's employees. I feel that a boss should check on the employee, lots afternoon to "save face". for a poor job & resort that he was not willing to correct obvious errors, saying he had done 2-3 times. Feel like I got taken.

We called Vince Curcio during the afternoon of April 11, and explained what we needed. He was courteous and attentive while we explained our situation. He told us that he was booked up presently but would check with one of his workers to see if he would be willing to do the job on Saturday, which was the next day. Within an hour Vince called back and informed us that one of his men (Kyle) would be out at 9:00 a.m. the following day to build the cabinet. Kyle arrived at a minute or two before nine, and by 9:30 had assembled everything he would need for the job, had formulated his work plan and had actually begun cutting wood for the frame. His appearance and demeanor were excellent. He obviously knew what he was doing and how to do it quickly and efficiently. He was cheerful, friendly, and courteous throughout the nearly five hours he was in our home. We are very pleased with our new cabinet....and with Kyle, a really nice guy!
Description of Work: Kyle built a new bathroom cabinet for us to replace the one which was destroyed by workers bringing a severe water damage incident under control. This was a custom job, since the original cabinet had been built in place and no replacements with the exact dimensions were available locally. We provided the wood and Kyle the labor. Kyle carefully planned his work before starting then proceeded, with hardly a wasted motion, to completion. He was able to match the cabinet in our other bathroom, even though the dimensions were not exactly the same. Excellent workmanship.

We in a hurry to replace our original doors, and could not find pre-hung double doors on such short notice. This complicated the repair greatly. What seemed to be a simple project stretched on for three full days (and this did not include painting), but the worker was very friendly and meticulous.

I took too long to write this down, so I can't recall the details except to say that Bizzzy Bee will always be at the top of my list to call for any basic home repair that I may need in the future.

I talked with Vince by phone about the items on my list. He indicated they could do these things and scheduled a day for the work. Mike arrived on time and went around the house and yard making sure what we needed done before he went to the home improvement store to get the supplies he needed. He returned and began work. He was a hard worker and kept us informed once something was complete to make sure we were happy. After the work was done, the toilet had additional problems and more floor squeaks were evident. I set up a time by phone when they would return and address these items. Just before they came, I had a need for someone to trim some tile in my kitchen so an electrician I had hired could complete wiring for some lighting. Vince sent Mike for the original repairs and Dwayne for the tile work. They were able to complete the items on my list. The two gentlemen were on time, called ahead before arriving and were very pleasant to work with.
Description of Work: The Bizzzy Bee did the following: repaired and installed a broken mailbox, repaired a toilet, fixed kitchen floor squeaks, caulked kitchen countertops, repaired two pocket doors that were sticking, replaced rails on a split rail fence, removed a section of split rail and cut up the rails for removal. On a second trip, they did further toilet repair and fixed 2 additional floor squeaks as well as trimmed some tile in the kitchen so an electrician could install lighting.

The Bizzy Bee was one of several companies that I called to get an estimate on replacing some siding that had been stripped from my home by the weather. My call was answered right away in a professional manner, and I was told that Vince was on another call and would call me ASAP. Vince promptly returned my call, explained what needed to be done, and gave me an idea of the cost. The company came out the next day. They replaced one section with the original siding but had to order the second piece. That piece was installed a few days later. All along the way I was informed of what needed to take place. The work looks great, and I am very pleased. I will definitely use this company again.
Description of Work: Replaced 2 sections of aluminum fascia trim.
