Response from Vince Curcio - The Bizzzy Bee
This is a Bogus Report and I was not able to have it removed even though the customer represented within this report did not write this report. I shall attempt to explain my dilemma. When I read this review I was surprised because I remembered this customer and they were happy with our service. Additionally, the review said that the work was performed July 27th 2015 but we did work for this customer in November/December of 2014. The fact that there were no comments and that our company records show that this was a happy customer from 2014 made me question what this was all about. So I called the customer to see what the problem was and they were surprised to hear that a report had been written. They told me that they did not know that a report had been submitted and that they were very happy with what we had done for them. They also told me that they were in the process of moving out of state and that they were a victim of identity theft and a mess was created for them that they will have to deal with. They seem to think that the prankster that got on their system has written this report as a joke and that after they were settled from moving they would have it removed. I texted them the number to Angie’s List so that they would have it available and then contacted my account representative at Angie’s List to see what help I could get with this unique problem. When I spoke with my representative, they informed me that they would pass this information along to the appropriate department to see what could be done. I followed up a couple of days later with my representative and was told that he could not contact the customer but that he had passed the information along. I waited for over a week but the customer had not called or written Angie’s List and rather than hound the customer who is in the middle of moving, I called to speak with a supervisor at Angie’s List. I explained my situation and when I was finished they simply said that Angie’s List would not call this customer. I tried to reason with the supervisor but honestly, all they did was make me angry because the policy of Angie’s List would not allow them to call the customer. No matter what I said it did not matter, they would not call to verify the facts in this situation. Naturally I was angry because my name was being unjustly trashed. In all fairness to Angie’s List, I understand that they cannot get in the middle of a ‘he said – she said’ situation and I would not expect them to. But this was a unique situation and after many years of good service I expected some help with such a unique situation like this. But the reality is, I am not allowed to go any further with my complaint and I cannot get them to simply call the customer to verify if this is a legitimate report. At this point I am no longer angry but sad. What kind of people have we become? Are we now so mechanical as a people, that making simple judgment calls is not allowed? Policy rules the day instead of reasoning out and judging what is right for a given situation. I am thankful that I never let my business get so big that the needs and concerns of my customers are no longer a concern, or worse muzzled by a blanket policy. I am not against Angie’s List, it is a great company. But I cannot agree with a blanket policy that does not allow a unique situation to be dealt with in an appropriate manner. If you have read through my rebuttal, than you can understand my frustration and I hope that this helps you see that I take my reputation very seriously. I care about every customer that calls us and I do my best to meet any and every need that we can. If you are looking for an honest quality minded company, than give us a call. Description of Work: We needed a ceiling fan to replace a light fixture, blinds and pictures hung, toilet seats replaced, and other somewhat basic inside the home tasks performed. We also had a few places outside where vinyl siding needed to be replaced. After a couple of snags, the worker did a good job of replacing the siding and completing the tasks.

Description of Work: Services were contracted for 4 hours of work for $180.00. Scheduled appointments were rescheduled twice on the night before the service was to occur, causing problems since people took off work to meet the worker. No written contract, no accounting of time was given, and no follow up was done. Workers did not keep track of the amount of time spent on projects, so it was difficult to tell if there was unused time or not. The work was satisfactory when it was completed.

Per the Customer - Scheduled appointments were rescheduled twice on the night before the service was to occur, causing problems since people took off work to meet the worker; NOT ACCURATE, The job required two different technicians with different skill sets. The carpenter showed up, as scheduled, on Friday the 3rd; wrote up the work order and completed his portion of the tasks. The plumber was also scheduled for the 3rd and due to an emergency situation beyond our control (a mechanical failure with his work truck), he had to reschedule for the following work day which was Monday the 6th. They were not able to get his truck finished in time for a pick up on Monday morning so I notified the customer and the plumber was able to complete his tasks on Tuesday the 7th. The customer was given as much advance notice as we could give. This was one incident that dealt with a mechanical failure beyond our control. No written contract; NOT TRUE, a Work Order was written and signed by the customer the first day on the job and I have a copy of it in our system. No accounting of time was given; NOT TRUE, By the customers own statement, THEY WERE HOME when we did the work and the men turn in their time to the office each day for the jobs that they perform. A job log is on file for every job we do. No follow up was done; ONCE AGAIN, NOT TRUE , I personally called to do a follow up after the job was completed, and again on 07-11-2015 at 5:35pm. I had to leave a message both times and I never got the courtesy of a response. Workers did not keep track of the amount of time spent on projects; A Redundant Statement and NOT TRUE. So it was difficult to tell if there was unused time or not; Once Again, THE CUSTOMER WAS HOME!!! How is it that the customer could not keep track of the (4) hours of labor time that the men spent at their home. How Ridiculous !!! Additionally, the customer was sent an invoice via Email that showed that they were paid in full. Additionally, they were sent a text to check their Email for the invoice. What else did they expect? The work was satisfactory when it was completed. FINALLY - a - TRUE Statement. I honestly do not understand what this customer’s problem is. The customer purchased their work order special on 06-23-2015. We communicated with the customer the very next day via the Angie’s List system and had to wait for the customer to call us back, since we were never given a phone number or an Email address by which to contact the customer directly. The customer called us back on 06-25-2015 and we scheduled for the work to be performed on Friday July 3rd. We responded quickly, communicated every step of the way and the work was completed satisfactorily by their own statement. If they had done their home-work, they would know that the price they paid for two different services completed in their home was very competitive compared to the normal high rates for those trades in the Charlotte area. I am amazed that I never received a return call nor did I get any communication from the customer that there was even a problem. I would have gladly answered any questions or concerns if they had only voiced them, or at least responded to my follow up calls. We care about every customer and our track record proves that. Unfortunately some people do not know how to play nice with the rest of us in the sand box of life. Instead they choose to bash us in the head when they do not get something that they feel entitled to, even though they did not express themselves in a reasonable way so as to receive the very thing that they wanted. Description of Work: Over 2 days AJ installed 4 closet organizers with drawers and made shoe racks for bottoms and fixed and put new locks on outside fence gate and other odds and ends. Originally were we're doing 2 . But AJ did such a great job we ask him back to do other 2 closets and some other items on our list. He was very careful with his tool as not to damage anything. I will definitely contact Bizzy Bee for any other needs.

Description of Work: Repaired approx. 6 woodpecker holes in my house's cedar siding, one over 30 feet high over uneven ground. Was more expensive than I thought - his pricing could be clearer and simpler. His guys came in 1-2 days whereas soonest anyone else could come was 2 weeks. Nice guy, helpful.

Description of Work: I bought 2 sets of door hardware online and needed them installed. I had tried to install them and couldn't, which is why I called Bizzzy Bee. Their man showed up right on time, checked out the hardware and after several several phone calls,advised me that either there were parts missing or some parts were incorrect and that the sets couldn't be installed. I told him I expected to pay for the service call, but he called Vince and Vince said there would be no charge, which was a happy surprise! When I get the replacement hardware, I will have them install it.

Description of Work: Replaced rotten wood behind gutters and in window frames. Repaired ceilings and walls and repainted. Removed paint from light fixtures and mirrors left by an earlier contractor from other company. Pressure-washed a long drive, garage, sidewalks. Repaired window glazing and frames, and electrical light fixtures. Sanded and repainted defective paint areas left by builder. |Vince and his crew did top-grade work and always cleaned up the site. Always contacted us to let us know when they were on their way to the house. They are the best contractor company we have ever hired.
