Wonderful experience! The Bizzzy Bee responded to our request for an estimate quickly -- via Angie's List, email, and cell phone. They came out and completed the repair the very next day and did an awesome job.
The team from Bizzzy Bee was exceptional. Not only were they on time, they were courteous, clear in communicating what they would do, and highly skilled in their craft. Light fixtures were replaced at a quick pace, a TV was hung exceptionally well, and a complex hoist system was installed on the garage ceiling. Each task was discussed and helpful recommendation made by the onsite team. After work was completed, Vince (the owner) made a point to call and ask for specific feedback on how his team performed. This is clearly a company that cares not only about doing a fantastic job, they also care about having satisfied customers. This alone is exceptionally rare. We have worked with a large number of contractors (10+) in the past 6 months. The team from Bizzzy Bee was one of the most organized, profession, and capable groups we have encountered. They are on our short list of highly recommended service providers - you will be happy with your work!

Even after finding out that the toilet connections were corroded the plumber was able to correct the problem. Work area was cleaned up and the plumber was nice and the price was right.
I was impressed. I was a DIY who started a bathroom remodel in my condo. Unfortunately I injured my back and could not finish the project. Looked up recommended contractors on Angie’s and found Busy Bee. Vinnie moved at incredible speed. Electrician showed up in two days and Vinnie was even able to get the sheet rock/painting guy there on a Sunday. Place was finished before the holidays, which made my wife very happy.

Response from Vince Curcio - The Bizzzy Bee
Wow! I am absolutely floored by this customers review. The only thing that I did was respond to their inquiries on Angie's list by answering their questions then followed up by sending them our flyer and rates so that they would be more familiar with what we do and what we charge. I provide this information to all of our customers upfront so that they are better equipped to make an informed decision concerning which service provider they want to use. Please review the following facts before considering this review as reasonable or legitimate with the contents of its complaints. This customer contacted our company via the Angie's List on-line Email program and I responded my answering their questions and seeking more information to determine if they are within our service area and if we provide the services that they are requesting. Below is the a word for word exchange. NOTE: I have Used the first letter of their name instead of using their full name and I have not given their address as I am respectful of their privacy and am not trying to embarrass them. My Only Goal is to Defend Our Good Name which has been Wrongfully Slandered without any good reason. OUR FIRST EXCHANGE Friday, November 30th from this customer: "can i get u out this weekend to give me a price on the job i need done cant do during the week i drive a truck not home?" Saturday, December 1st from me directly: "Hello [Member Name Removed], Please Give me a Call so I can get your information and attempt to meet with you." Vince C. at The Bizzzy Bee 704.222.6369 OUR SECOND EXCHANGE Tuesday, December 4th from this customer: "thank u for getting back to me when is a good time to meet on the weekends?" Tuesday, December 4th from me directly: "I can do most Saturdays 11am - 1pm - Where are you located?" OUR THIRD EXCHANGE Friday, December 7th from this customer: "i would like to meet you at [address] next saturday the 15 at 1100am see you there" Friday, December 7th from me directly: "Hello [Member Name Removed], I can meet you Saturday the 15th at 11am but I will need to know what the scope of work is that we are looking at before I come out. I will also need your phone number and your Email address. We Email the quotes and I will need to have a way of communicating with you other than just by Email. Thank You - Vince at The Bizzzy Bee OUR FOURTH EXCHANGE Saturday, December 8th from this customer: "i want to expand porch and put a top on it plus paint a 10x12 storage building" This customer also gave me their Email address and phone number which I cannot reveal. So I sent them our Flyer and rates, as I do for all our customers, and let them know that we look forward to working with them anyway that we can. Our estimates are free and we had set a date and time to meet. I still did not know exactly what they had in mind but had a vague idea and was willing to meet with them to get all of the information and hopefully help them out. Their response floored me and follows for you to read for yourself. Saturday, December 8th from this customer: "Vince I am 53 yrs old and never seen this I all ways just showed the person the job and they gave me a price you want to be paid for every little min I cant afford you this up sets me I wasted this time with you this is a new house I just wanted to put down a concrete floor and put up a tin roof and paint a building wow I am a trucker not a doctor you need to stay in charlotte not concord this is a small town on a small budget you need to put this on angie list so people will see your real prices I WILL PASS THE WORD" Please keep in mind that I had not given this customer a price, nor did we even speak on the phone yet. We simply made arrangements to meet and discuss the work that they want completed so that I can give them a price. Sunday, December 9th - The following was my response to them: Hello [Member Name Removed], I am sorry to disappoint you but we are a maintenance company and those rates are lower than most maintenance companies in the area. The reason I requested your information is to be able to send you our flyer and rates and to make sure that we offer the services that you are looking for. Based on your response you want and need a construction company, not a maintenance company. I suggest that you go back on Angie's List to find a construction company that can meet your needs. One of the reason that I send our flyer and rates is to make the prospective customer is aware of the services that we offer and how we charge for those services. By doing this up-front before we meet face to face, you have the ability to see if we are what you are looking for. So I do not believe that you or I have wasted any time, because anyone that you speak with needs to know what you are looking for and that is all we have done. No significant time has been spent in our short Email exchange on Angie's List, and by giving you more information about us, you have saved the time of a face to face meeting. I wish you well in your search for a service provider that can meet your needs. Sincere Regards, NOW For This Customer's Review: "this man contacted me ve email double talking me telling me he was a maintenance company no where does is say he is that it says handyman it even shows on angies list he has done this kind of work before that why i picked him" FACT: They contacted me, and yes, we are a full service maintenance company and offer handyman services as well. I never double talked this customer in any way, nor did I try to deceive them in any way. I simply answered their questions and tried to see if we could meet their needs. "this is what i found out he wants to be paid for every little minute he works he sent me his way of payment and its by the hour not the job SO if you dont have deep pockets leave him alone this is only my opinion" FACT: This customer never gave me the opportunity to actually meet with them and give them a price so they are assuming that we would be expensive by comparison. Without knowing anything about us they have become upset with us and falsely accused us of "he has done no work for me so i cant speak of that he just made me feel i wasted my time waiting on him and research" QUESTIONS: How is answering their questions and giving our flyer with our rates wasting their time? What have we done wrong by being honest with this customer concerning the services that we provide and the rates that we charge? Plus, they admit that we have done NO Work for them, and yet, they gave us an "F" in ALL categories as if they have the right to voice an opinion on something that they have never had us do. Is That Reasonable, Honest, or even Fair Minded? "i am only customer looking to get work done that now is way behind messing with him" FACT and QUESTIONS: I responded by the next business day or the same day each time that they Emailed me. I agreed to meet with them when they wanted me to and they cancelled before we could even meet to discuss their project. They never gave me a call as I requested nor did they spend any significant time in their short Email exchanges with me which took place over a one week period of time. How have I put them Way Behind? Are They Serious?! "you might find him different i was going to let this slid till he sent me that email making me feel incompetent he big on words not work" FACT and QUESTIONS: Most of our customers are very pleased with the quality of our work and our prices when compared to other companies that charge more than we do for the same services. We have MANY repeat customers that have used us again and again over the years because we give a consistently good service. This customer has accused me of making them "feel" incompetent and have claimed that I am big on words, not on Work. How have I made them feel incompetent when I simply answered there questions and suggested that they contact a construction company? How can they say that we are big on words and not work when we have never worked for them? The Final Fact is This: This customer had no business writing such a nasty review when no harm or insult was made as they have claimed, nor any work was performed for them to judge. They simply realized that they either did not want to pay our rates or could not afford to hire a professional service and became offended. Then, they decided that it would be OK to slander and demonize an Honest Family Owned and Operated Company with a Long Standing Record of Good Quality Workmanship at Reasonable Rates, and Why, Because they ASSUMED they were not going to be able to get what they wanted at a price that they were willing to pay. WOW! How Sad for them. Our Long Standing Record Speaks for Itself and we look forward to assisting anyone that we can. We Look Forward to Hearing from you.

Vince was great when he came to do the estimate, and Tom did excellent work. I think it was a fairly small job for them, but they were prompt and professional all the way. Great work for reasonable price. We'll definitely call them again.
Description of Work: Door frame fixed, new steps and stringer and deck rails
The last hurricane put the final nail in the coffin for my in-deck hot tub. Add that to having been lax in general upkeep on both upper and lower decks , I knew I needed help. Naturally, I called Vince. He and his team have been my Go-To for at least 20 years, doing everything from gutter cleaning, internal and external house painting, tree removal - you name it, they did it, and if it was outside of their sweet spot, Vince always referred me to top-notch people. In short, Vince got me scheduled promptly, the workers showed up on time and finished expeditiously, and my decks look better than they have in years. This is the team I tell everyone about. I know if I call Vince, he'll provide advice and alternatives with no BS, and follow through on every expectation.

One word: Amazing. First I had called Vince at 7pm at night and he called back around 8 pm to schedule service for 7-8 am the next morning. Tom showed up on time, looked over everything, explained the issue and got everything fixed / cleaned up. On top of it, Vince followed up later that day to ensure we were happy and confirm that it all went well - that’s amazing service. We will definitely reach out to him again.
Description of Work: We had Vince’s team out for an emergency look at our gutters before Hurricane Florence hit. With a strong storm Tuesday night, we noticed that the gutters were sending water down the house and not working. Tom came out and looked at the gutters, soffit and cleaned everything out.
Excellent! Bizzzy Bee was extremely professional and did an amazing job! Went over & beyond to fit a big job in his already busy schedule and got it done! I will definitely be using Bizzzy Bee again!!

Went great. Technician was professional and got the jobs done. We've used Bizzzy Bee before and they are the FIRST company we think of when there are jobs around here outside my scope of skill and they never disappoint.
Vince and Bizzzy Bee have been our handyman services for two buildings for a number of years now. They are very responsive in a very positive way. They are are really good at looking at a situation where you are not sure what to do and they come up with creative solutions that really work and work well. Their prices are reasonable and their quality is high. We are 1,000 miles away from our properties in Charlotte, NC (we are in Vermont) and would not be able to take care of things without Vince and Bizzzy Bee. Some of our neighbors have also used them on our recommendation and they tell us that they have been more than happy. If you have a project that fits what they can offer (which is pretty much anything short of actual construction work), I don't think you will find a service out there that has the combination of fair price, high quality and excellent responsiveness that you will find with Bizzzy Bee. Got a project, just call them and your problems are solved.

Hired Bizzzy Bee a couple of times In the past for short term projects. They were very capable and efficient. However, this project turned out to be more involved. For short term projects, their procedure of charging by the hour is o.k. For longer term projects, payment by the job may work out better for the customer. Their system of having the customer explain the job over the phone or by e-mail works fine. Then a worker with a particular skill is assigned to the job, site unseen. Unfortunately, when the worker reports to the job, he/she has to assess what materials are needed and then, if the materials are not on hand, the worker has to go purchase whatever is needed. That time needed to find the material, along with the material itself is charged to the customer. Since they are a small firm, if the worker that is assigned to the project is not available for some reason, another worker with the requisite skill has to be pulled off another project, possibly delaying your project and the project he was working on. Also, the final bill shows only the self reported hours that the worker says they are on the job. When I questioned the owner about the hours reported by his workers and the whereabouts of the initial worker who was assigned the project, he became very defensive. The initial guy is supposedly one of his more skilled drywall guys. He apparently had recurring transportation issues and couldn’t come after the first day. Why he was assigned in the first place with those issues is anyone’s guess. Any minor dissatisfaction that I did report to him was, in his opinion, caused by our need to rush the project because we had guests arriving two days later. If the first guy had been able to complete the project, no rush would have been necessary. Any further repair would require him to reschedule a worker at the normal hourly rate. I declined his offer.

Response from Vince Curcio - The Bizzzy Bee
It is obvious by our 96% approval rating and 17 consecutive years with Super Service Awards that we do our best to meet the needs and expectations of every customer. There are times however when we simply cannot please or meet the expectations of some customers. The real cause of this customer's dissatisfaction is self-induced. First, they did not properly plan the timing of their repairs. Second, they assumed that there would be no unforeseen interruptions or issues. Third, they have unrealistic and unreasonable expectations of what they call professional service. When this customer scheduled with us for drywall and painting repairs, they failed to mention that they were going to have a large gathering of guests in their home within a couple of days of us doing the work. Had I known that, I would have counseled them to do the work a week before, or, after that event was over. Drywall repairs can take three, or four skim coats of mud to get the walls to a quality, flat, paint ready finish. Additionally, the smell of fresh paint which some people are sensitive to, takes two to three days to fully dissipate. So the required repair process combined with the fresh paint odors makes the type of repairs this customer requested something that should be completed well in advance of, or after, a large gathering of people. In fact, not knowing about their gathering, I had offered to come sooner but they pushed off the work to just a couple of days before their gathering. That was a bad decision on their part. Had I known about the gathering, I would have declined doing that type of work at the time they requested and gave them better options. Mistake number two is that they assumed that there would be no unforeseen interruptions or issues. What none of us could possibly predict was that my lead technician, who started their job, would experience a mechanical failure on his way home after his first day on their job. When it happened, I immediately notified the customer that our technician had a mechanical issue with his vehicle but was hopeful to be back by the following day. When our technician found out that it was a much bigger issue, which involved a blown engine, and that it would be longer before he could return, I immediately called the customer again. That's when I was told about the large gathering and the preparations that they were trying to make for several people that were coming the next day. I quickly called other customers that we were working for, who were not in a time crunch, and explained our situation with this customer's needs. Thankfully, I had other customers that graciously allowed this customer's work to take precedence. I pulled two men from other jobs so that this customer's needs could be satisfied. We were now in rush mode to finish this work as quickly as possible and were able to get the walls finished and painted well enough to accommodate their gathering the next day. We explained to this customer that we would have to return to touch up the drywall repairs, as we only did what was absolutely necessary to make their home ready for the gathering. They said they understood and were grateful at that time for handling the situation in a timely manner. After we completed the touch-ups the following Monday, they expressed that they were unhappy and wanted to blame the first technician and I for what happened. They questioned our procedures and the cost looking for someone to blame for their dissatisfaction. To better understand what took place, we had been requested to perform drywall repairs and painting in several rooms of this customer's home and one day after we started the job, we suddenly had to be finished by the end of the day. So their bad planning, combined with an unrealistic expectation that their type and quantity of repairs could be completed a day before their event, was now being blamed on us. They were upset that the first technician experienced a mechanical failure and expressed that he was responsible for his unforeseen mechanical failure and we as a company should have been better prepared to meet the unexpected need. When I tried to explain that we cannot control these types of situations but we do our best to react to them, they insisted that it was our fault that they were unhappy. After trying to reason with this customer I finally reached my limit and had enough of their ungrateful and unreasonable behavior. That is when I let them know that they had planned poorly and were being unreasonable in their expectations given the facts concerning the situation and the type of repairs that they had. Their poor planning actually created a higher repair bill because we were forced to set up and tear down, just to set up again in order to accommodate the need. Additionally, they knew beforehand that a materials list would need to be created and shopped prior to the work being performed. To expect us to do that for free is also unreasonable. We do not assess jobs and shop for the required supplies on our own personal time. This was another unrealistic and unreasonable expectation of this particular customer, and their accusation about our record keeping is false. We use a GPS tracking system which verifies the time of our men on every job. The bottom line on this review is that we went out of our way to meet this customer's needs so that they could be ready for their poorly planned event. Instead of being grateful, they expected more for less, and free if they could get it; how sad. We look forward to meeting the needs and reasonable expectations of our customers, and our long standing history proves that we do so consistently. Vince C. at The Bizzzy Bee

Vince, saved the day. I recently moved and my fridge finally arrived. The delivery company dropped it off and left it in the middle of the kitchen because there was cabinet trim in the way. Needless to say, I was frustrated and panicked. It was right before a holiday week, and Vince fit me in! He came out at 8:00 the next day and was so very kind!. He removed the cabinet trim and help me get the fridge in. Thank you, Vince! You truly saved the day. I will be calling you anytime I have a project.

They arrived on time and listened patiently to me as I changed my original list. I added masonry repairs and subtracted window painting because the requested repairs changed. They replaced a broken window pane, bought and installed a new screen door for my porch and pressure washed a brick patio and front porch before remortaring them. Both men were professional, courteous and friendly and worked hard in the extreme heat! All went well and I will definitely use them again.
