Working with Valentine Painting was a great experience. I got 4 bids on painting the exterior of our house through Angie. Jim Valentine was one of the four. He was very responsive and came out to look at the house and meet with me a couple of days after submitting in Angie. Jim has been in the painting business for many years and his father was also a painter. When we met he looked at everything and made some great suggestions I hadn’t thought about. I was impressed with how detailed he was and the questions he asked. It made me feel like it was his desire to do the kind of job the customer would be very pleased with. I thought he might come in higher than what I wanted to spend but he was right in the middle of the four bids. His crew was able to start within a week. Initially they pressure washed the house. They then replaced some rotten wood, sanded where needed, caulked and then started the paint work. Everything was applied by brush. Jim reached out each day to let me know what the crew’s schedule would be in working through weather issues. Each day the crew would clean up and never left anything out of place. We are very pleased with the finished product. I highly recommend Valentine Painting. Two of my neighbors and another friend are looking to have their houses painted. They are all going to be reaching out to Jim. I will definitely be using Valentine Painting in the future.

The work was neat, and high quality while still managing to be completed earlier than expected! Jim was quick to respond and took action immediately to stop by, understand the work and provide an estimate. This was our first time working with Valentine Painting and it definitely will not be our last. From our initial contact Jim and his team were professional, communicative and respectful. The job (a garage not painted in 30 years) was more extensive than we all thought and required additional prep and finish work. The team was detailed oriented, respectful of our property, always smiling and took tremendous pride in their work. Despite the additional labor required to complete the job they worked additional hours and days in order to complete in time for the installation of my cabinetry. Jim was proactive every step of the way allowing us to make modifications and informing us in advance of any potential changes and charges. The final outcome far surpassed our expectation. We loved working with Jim - he came out very last minute and shines with years of experience, flexibility and creativity. His team was cautious with our gardens right next to the house while doing siding and exterior painting and were all very polite and trustworthy. We had issues with a previous siding provider and he talked us through it and came back with a fair offer. We realized that Jim and his team did paint the house about 12 years ago as well, so we were lucky to rediscover him again. We highly recommend his services!

The owner selected the paint color based on his experience and it was perfect. It took four people two days and they did a beautiful job. Some wall repair, trim, painting, and all of the walls all came out perfect.

When the crew was finished Mr. Valentine inspected the final product and found two flaws which I had missed. They were fixed immediately and I paid Mr. Valentine in full at the completion of the job. My home is comprised of brick and wood. Valentine Painting painted and repaired the wood siding. I am looking forward to hiring them again to paint the brick.

We hired Valentine Painting to come and repair some drywall where we had lights removed as well as paint all the main living areas of our home (which included, doors, ceilings and all molding). Jim’s team showed up each day exactly when they said and fully covered all the areas in our home to protect from dust and paint. They were very professional, courteous took their time to ensure that every flaw was caught and fixed. The entire team was very meticulous and it was obvious they take pride in the quality of their work. Once finished, they cleaned up everything (including vacuuming and mopping the dust off the wood floors) before they left. I would hire them again and would recommend them to our family and friends for sure!

I am very picky and was super pleased with the work done. The crew painted our entire house to include remodeled staircase (stain/paint) and completed carpentry on three walls. They also power washed outside of house, painted the shutters, front door, and railings going up the outside stairs. The prep work was top notch to give an outstanding finish. Once I finish installing kitchen cabinets I will hire them to paint. Hire this company if you want it done right!

I had Jim out to repaint my deck. They did an excellent job! He came out and gave great recommendations of what type of product to use. The communication was excellent throughout the whole process. The detail on the paint job was great and the deck looks like new. I will definitely hire for future painting jobs.

The quote was provided at our initial appointment, which is always appreciated. They were able to have a crew on site within two days. Arrived promptly on time, they were neat, professional and finished the job by 5:00, in one day. Large bedroom and bath, including ceilings. Came back the next morning to touch up a spot. Good experience from start to finish.

Great quality painting at competitive pricing and more! - Valentine Painting not only provided high quality preparation, priming and painting for my house’s soffits, facia boards, roof shingle moldings, gutters, downspouts, heavily rusted window lintels and screened porch but also used the crew leader’s carpentry skills to successfully complete a repair that other painters declined to quote. Jim Valentine was flexible in scheduling the work during a shifting travel schedule as well as making last minute project adjustments. I highly recommend Valentine Painting.
