Very professional upon meeting. Estimate was reasonable Angie's List discount made it within others range. Workmanship great, showed up on time, reliable. Finished inspected and put all furniture back. Sherwin Williams paint flat does not clean well is only issue I can advise finger prints show very easy.

Easy to make an appointment. Jim Valentine made the first visit and was easy to talk to. He said that his wife does the painting so she would contact me to get the exact finish for the cabinets. He had samples of her work and pictures of kitchens that they had painted. Kelly then made a visit with Jim and she has a great eye. She understood the look we were wanting to achieve and picked out the wall paint for the kitchen. She took a cabinet to work on then brought it back a week later to see if it was exactly what we wanted. We made no changes because it looked great! The next week their team got started on our kitchen cabinets. The total work took 2 weeks (1 week longer than they told us) but it was worth it. We had to order two cabinet doors to close off a cabinet space but the doors didn't come in until a week after they finished our kitchen. Jim and Kelly worked on the doors without hesitation or asking for extra money. We were very pleased with their professionalism and work.

This report is for the exterior only, see Painting-Interior for that report. When they started, they worked six days a week for two weeks until the job was complete. Except for one half-day at the end, there were always a minimum of two people working all day and occasionally more than two people. They often worked until dark and they ate lunch on site. I always felt like my job was being given the attention it deserved and the quality of the work was excellent.

Jim did an excellent job. His crew was very neat and left no mess behind. He was quick to complete the project and went beyond the norm to finish the job to our satisfaction.

I looked on Angie's List and quickly had 4 companies scheduled to come by that Monday to give an estimate. Three companies provided written estimates, including Valentine Painting. Jim came in and listened to what I was describing, gave me great suggestions and ideas as we went along. I explained that my mom and grandma were coming into town that Thursday, so we really needed to have everything completed by then. Jim's estimate was directly in the middle, but we felt he would do the best job and would be done on time. Tuesday morning, he and his crew came out at 7:30am (our request) and got to work right away! Although they still had a little bit of touch up work to complete on Thursday, they did an EXCELLENT job and I have already referred Jim to our soon to be neighbor because of the high quality, professional work they completed. I would recommend Valentine Painting to anyone; we are VERY satisfied customers!

They came back out in December to do the exterior. They are great! They power washed the outside and protected our plants. They replaced rotted wood and refinished the front door.

He was awesome. They provided me with a detailed and reasonable quote. They got the quote in and finished the work well before they thought they would be done. He was top shelf and I would highly recommend him to anyone, he does great work.

I would never hire this company again in the future. Their quality of work was really bad and they had to come back out and repaint; this was the main problem that we had with this company. They came out twice to repaint; so in all it took them three times to get it right.

Valentine Painting returned our call quickly, scheduled an estimate and we received our quote for our job the day that Jim came out. They also assisted us in selecting colors, finish (including a faux) and the type of paint that we should use. Our project was scheduled promptly and we were surprised how quickly the job was done. We were so pleased with the outcome of the original project that we added the painting of the master bedroom and master bath. This project also went very smoothly and was completed quickly. We have worked with many painting contractors during our 25 year marriage and it was refreshing to have a contractor show up on time and thoroughly clean up when they finished. I consider myself a very picky customer and can easily state that Valentine Painting & Decorating Company is the best painter we have ever hired. We are 100% satisfied.

The house had just been painted and had a substandard job. I needed a quick turn around time for moving in a day. Jim was prompt & professional. His crew worked long days to meet my time line. The only sour note is the characteristics of the paint used. It is a flat latex that marks easily and a drop of water leaves a mark.

The painters with Valentine Painting Company were on time every morning. They were professional, quick, and gentlemen, all! Very helpful with moving furniture and relocating other items to perform the job. The work was outstanding and the crew cleaned up after themselves daily, as well as when the job was complete. The owner, Jim Valentine worked well with us with our special needs. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

This company understands what customer service is all about. From conception to fruition the process went effortlessly for me. The crew showed up on time ready to start prep work. They took great care of and respect for my property while on premises. They cleaned up spotlessly after completion, the only thing left after they were done was a "beautifully painted home"! This was a project I kept putting off and putting off. Very pleased with Valentine Painting, even better, MY WIFE is pleasantly pleased as well.

He had the highest price. I just didn't have a good rapport with this company. I chose another.

Overall, it went very well and we are pleased with the outcome. Jim Valentine appreciated the requirements and complexities of the job and described exactly what would be done. The job was finished on time and at the price we were quoted. Although it seemed like a high quote, the actual painters spent several days doing thorough and careful work. Other painters, both Angie's List recommended and not, gave significantly lower estimates, but did not appreciate what the job required to be done correctly. Valentine Painting was not the highest bidder either. On inspection of the finished job Jim Valentine touched up some of the work, that he felt was necessary.

The service was performed in a very timely manner and met my expectations. Jim was very helpful in locating a specific type (no VOC) of paint and the exact colors that I wanted. The quote was in line to slightly less than several other contractors.
