Jim Valentine and his crew were impressive, courteous and very professional from start to finish. We've used other painters in the past but will always use Valentine in the future. Their attention to detail was outstanding and they did an excellent job of cleaning up each night before leaving. Jim's initial quote was very thorough and easy to understand and he took a good deal of time discussing the projects that we needed him to perform to ensure that he had everything correctly quoted. He provided a perfect color match service and was very accurate as to the time it would take to complete the job. His crew was very nice to deal with and Jim stayed involved throughout the process to make sure we were completely satisfied. We were very impresed with all of the work they performed and won't hesitate to recommend them to friends or use them ourselves in the future. Thank you Jim!! You guys are truly top notch!

Very smoothly. They even worked around a team I had re-finishing a wood floor in one room. All the work was done quickly so it would be finished before I moved in.

Jim's team focused on the areas to be repaired and were diligent in completing the fixes. They did not hesitate to continue the process until the finished product looked nearly perfect when painted. All of the painting was done with great care and precaution as our floors had just recently been refinished. The final product is absolutely beautiful!

Jim was great to work with! He returned our initial call and came right out to give us an estimate. His crew was very polite and showed up on time the day of scheduled job. They did a great job and cleaned up very well after completing the work. Jim came back out and personally checked things along with a phone call to make sure we were happy. The experience was wonderful and they probably cleaned up after themselves better than I clean my house. They are very nice and Jim Valentine was on and off site all day to make sure everything was satisfactory, so they are very attentive. I will use them again in the future.

The results are excellent, I can see that-- and part of this stairwell is very high and hard to get to. We're all very happy with the work, and expect it to last a very long time. I would use Valentine Painting again.

I had previously hired Valentine Painting in June 2011 to paint five rooms and two hallways inside my house, and was very impressed with the work. I had to delay their painting the exterior until my roof had been replaced. But as soon as that was done, Jim Valentine's crew went to work, and completed the whole job in 4.5 days. The crew was both efficient and detail-oriented, and did a fantastic job. The house literally looks brand new now, even though it was built 15 years ago. (I'll try to post some photos here.) Jim himself came on the final day and inspected the work thoroughly. The cost for this job was well above competitors' bids, but well worth it to me. Jim only uses high-quality Sherman Williams paint.

This was a good experience. We had our exterior painted in 2005 and the trim was peeling in large chunks and was very scuffed and worn looking. Jim's crew sanded and painted all our exterior trim and 3 exterior doors. Our hardwood patio furniture looks almost brand new! The crew was on time, polite and professional. One thing that impressed me about the crew was that they respected my property. So often ofter having contractors out I go around and clean up cigarette butts and soda cans for weeks after. There was none of that this time. Jim came out and expected the work twice while the crew was here and then did a final walk through with me. When it's time to paint again this is who we'll call.

Exactly as planned. Except for some rainy days, the work was started and completed on time. Jim Valentine personally inspects all of the work before you pay...and he makes sure it has been done correctly. Valentine is not cheap, but they do the job right the first time.

It took 2 weeks to finish the interior painting in my home. I was extremely satisifed with the work performed. I have my mother who lives with me who is 89 and they were able to work with me to make it less inconvenient for her. The owner, Jim, also worked with me to select colors for each room that would complement each other. I would highly recommend Valentine Painting.

We needed to get one very large wall and one smaller wall painted and realized we couldn't do it ourselves in the time we had available. I called several vendors I'd found on Angies List. Jim called me Friday morning and when I told him speed was as important as price, he asked if we wanted it done that very afternoon. We agreed and his crew showed up around 3:00. They were completely finished just 4 hours later. And they were extremely professional! The edging was perfect; they removed and replaced fixtures and brackets and applied 2 coats to both walls. I believe the price was a bit high, but given the prompt service and quality of the work, I'd make the same decision again.

Jim Valentine came to the house to give an estimate for the work to be done. He was very cordial and seemed very knowledgeable. He gave me a reasonable estimate for the work to be done. I consulted with the boss(my wife) and she agreed so we decided to have Jim do the job, even though we had received a lower estimate. A decision we did not regret. The boss picked out the colors she wanted for the various components of the house and I relayed this information to Jim. He offered his opinions of the color choices which were helpful and positive. His crew arrived on 7/5 to do the power washing. They did an excellent job and were very efficient. The weather caused a delay the following day and threatened to do the same the next day. But they came and painted the interior ceiling on the second day. They were very careful. They draped plastic to isolate the room and proceeded to spray. There was absolutely no "collateral" damage anywhere and the ceiling looks great. They came and went with little interruption to my schedule. Painting was delayed a bit because of the weather. When they did get started they arrived early and worked as long as the weather permitted. The crew was friendly and got along well with each other. They did a fantastic job on the house. They worked efficiently but did not hurry the job. It took them a while to get the job done because they had to contend with showers and the miserable heat. Jim came the day after they finished to inspect the job. He noticed a few things that neither the boss nor I had seen. The crew touched them up and even painted the mailbox post. Impressive! Overall we are extremely satisfied with the job. I would have no qualms recommending this company to anyone. I feel that the crew did a great job under less than ideal conditions. Jim kept in touch with them during the job,which I felt was a positive factor.

We had been told by others that painting the cabinets would be a disaster and that we should consider other options. Jim spent a great deal of time describing the process he uses for painting cabinets, and we felt confident that this would be done right. Jim's crew was excellent. Their work was meticulous. It was well worth the money we spent to get it done right. We definitely got what we paid for. They did amazing work and I highly recommend his services. The cabinets look great. It was a very laborious process well over 120 man hours, and they performed their job with perfection unlike anything 'I have ever seen. Absolutely awesome!! Well worth the money.

Jim called the the day before the work was to start and indicated what time they would arrive. His workmen arrived right on time (in fact, several were waiting in front of the house before the scheduled start time). His time worked professionally and quickly, performing all the work to perfection. They had to match the stain on the front doors to the inside and the finished result was superb. The walls in the bathroom look better than new, and our front door has been restored to the day we moved in.

Jim Valentine personally came to my house and did a thorough estimate of the cost to paint several rooms and hallways. Although his estimate was considerably higher than bids I obtained from competitors, I went with Valentine because of Jim's great competence as evinced in the comprehensive nature of the estimate and contract that he provided. He was also willing to lower his initial estimated fees a bit in order to get my business. His team worked several days in my house, and finished on schedule with impressive results. Very high quality work on both walls and trim. His team cleaned up thoroughly at the end of their work, and put the furniture back in its original place. I will be hiring Valentine again later this summer to paint the whole exterior of my house and garage, as soon as my neighborhood association approves of the color change. They arrived as scheduled on Monday. I asked if I could see a sample of the paint on the wall to confirm the color. They had a test wall ready for me in one hour!! The team was great and have obviously been together for quite some time because they worked so efficiently. The painting was finished on the first day. The door was stained and varnished (second and third coates) on the second day and the bathroom was finished. Everything came out great and we couldn't be happier. In fact, we plan to call them back to help us do our master bedroom and bath in the next few weeks!

I contacted Jim Valentine in February 2011 for a job to paint 2 rooms.They painted the first room and it looks awesome. The second room we actually put on hold to decide on some architectural plans and changes for that room. Our home was built in 1966 and has wood paneling on the walls instead of drywall so it is a challenge to paint. Not to mention the previous owner used latex paint on top of oil paint for all of the woodwork and trim. The latex paint peels off like an orange peel and must be sanded downed, primed and sealed and then repainted. We called him back and scheduled a time for them to restart the job. We also added the hallway project. Jim is great and very professional. If you here someone say "I know this great painter and they are really cheap!" Stop right there and remember you get what you pay for. Jim's crew is amazing. They are skilled, professional, courteous and hard working. At the end of the 4 days and over 100 man hours the job was completed. The walk through inspection done by Jim and Wilson was thorough and comprehensive. I plan on using Valentine Painting in the future for our remodel and will also be using them to paint the exterior of our home as well.

Crew showed up early and worked till sundown. Sprayed than hand applied (or worked in) paint. Worked quickly but, carefully and clean. Questions were answered when asked and followed up by the owner Jim if necessary. Pointed out all the repairs made above and beyond contract listing. Follow up walk through by Jim flagged some items that were repaired or touched up on the spot. Quality work and attitude. Thanks Jim and Crew this place looks like a million bucks!
