Jim and his team were professional, responsive, and did a phenomenal job. Pricing was absolutely in line with quotes I had received in the past. I chose a very pigmented color (SW-Moscow Midnight) to match the background of the wallpaper in the dining room and they did a beautiful job. We had to make some choices about where to stop and start the color. And where the dark color meets bright white (around the doors and windows) was done amazingly well (and I'm pretty OCD about stuff like that). Will definitely be having them back for more work. Last week Jim Valentine and his crew painted a number of interior and exterior surfaces in our home. I've used Jim several times in the past, and know him to be an amazing contractor who is professional, high quality and wonderful to deal with. Great. I am having my master bathroom updated and I chose Valentine Painting to handle the painting portion of the project. I decided to paint over wallpaper versus taking it down which would have been labor intensive and most likely require wall repair. So, two trips wee required of the painters. The first to prime the walls with an oil based primer and paint the ceiling. the second trip required more prep and then two coats of paint. In addition, a linen closet was painted as well as three doors, door trim, baseboards and shoe molding. Given the pressure scheduling by my remodeler, a big thank you to Jim Valentine for being flexible and helping me stay on my remodeler's tight schedule.

If we could give 10 stars we would! This was the most professional, detailed, punctual, company we have ever had do anything for us. They did excellent work. Well worth the money. Highly recommend!

In August 2019, Valentine Painting & Decorating, LLC painted our home both inside and outside and we are so happy we selected this company as our painting contractor. Our home looked wonderful when the project was completed and we have had numerous compliments about the quality of the work. When Jim Valentine, owner of Valentine Painting, first visited our home to assess the size of our project and provide us with an estimate he took a genuine interest in what we wanted done and, based upon his extensive experience in the industry, gave us sound advice on what would be needed to meet our goals and expectations. We felt confident Jim was the one we wanted to take on our project and it was the right decision. Edgar, Crew Chief, oversaw the daily painting activities of his crew to ensure everything met the high standards demanded by Valentine Painting. The crew arrived on time every morning and worked into the late afternoon and on Saturdays. Every member of the crew was professional, cheerful, courteous, and polite and took exceptional care to make sure furniture, carpeting, hardwood floors, etc. were protected from paint spills. Edgar and his crew were at our home a total of 22 days and once the project was completed, we were sorry to see them go. It was a pleasure and a privilege having our home professionally painted by Valentine Painting and we plan to hire them again for future projects. My wife and I highly recommend the services of Jim Valentine to any and all who may be planning a painting project because we are confident they will be proud and delighted with the outcome.

Great. Jim examined the property carefully, gave a clearly stated estimate, came when he said he would, and demanded quality work from his crew. The painting crew were careful, neat, and congenial, easy to work with and to have on our property. The painting job on both the exterior and the interior was absolutely first-class. The preparation work was exceptionally thorough, and the crew was diligent in repairing all cracks, scrapes, and other imperfections in the walls. The trim work was clean and precise, and the wall paint was completely smooth and consistent. The same crew was present every day, and they were all professional and committed to finishing the project on time. Mr. Valentine was present frequently throughout the project, and he kept me informed of any complications or changes. This is a good company, and I would use them again.

Jim painted the master bedroom the perfect shade of green for my mother. She absolutely loves it. Afterwards, Jim sat down and gave us the perfect rundown on the happenings of our new town since we had just moved here. Great personality, felt like family. They don't make 'em like that anymore.

Jim and the crew tackled a 15 year old 4,000 sq ft house with gusto. We had many hundreds of feet of trim, windows and doors to tackle. They were efficient and made the walls and trim look great. We had to vacate the home for them to work their magic. Our walls and cabinets look outstanding. We also painted our cabinets and are not sure we would do that again. This may have had more to do with the cabinets than the painting though. Overall, pleased with the work that Jim & team performed. A whole house transformation done well.

After finding Valentine Painting on Angie's List, I e-mailed the company and explained where I was located and the work I needed done. Jim Valentine answered my e-mail promptly, and I then telephoned him and told him the work I needed done. I was not in a super hurry, but DID want the job done. He made an appointment to come a couple of days later to see the bathrooms and give me an estimate. Jim came exactly when he promised to. He gave me a reasonable estimate, and said he would get back to me within a couple of days to arrange a date to have the job done. He actually called me later that same day, and said he had two workers available the next day to come. I agreed. We arranged for the painters to arrive at 9:00 the following day. At 9 on the dot the next day, the two painters arrived. They did an EXCELLENT job. They were polite, respectful, thorough, neat, clean, professional. Jim and his crew did a wonderful job painting our walls, doors, and ceilings. They took their time to make sure everything was done perfectly. They even caulked our bathrooms even though it was not part of the contract. We will definitely hire them again in the future.

Jim Valentine is extremely professional and his employees are very competent and polite. They are very knowledgeable. In addition to painting my cabinets they drilled new holes on all drawers and patched the old hole since I wanted to replace existing knobs with pulls on the drawers. My cabinets look absolutely beautiful and I am so pleased with the work they did. I must also add that they did a fine job of cleaning when the job was completed. In the future I plan to have them paint interior walls in my house since I was so pleased with their work.

Our experience with Valentine Painting was nothing but amazing, from start to finish! We met with three different owners from three different companies, but Jim Valentine clearly stood above the others. He was very punctual, personable and knowledgeable, and was the only one to give us an on-the-spot estimate. We needed the exterior of our house painted, as well as the detached garage. We wanted to get our front porch re-stained, but Jim talked us out of doing the whole porch, and instead only treat the entry steps that were more worn. He spent several hours with us that first day going over all the details of our job, matching colors, scheduling, etc.. We had requested a specific start date, and he was kind enough to be able to make that happen, which we really appreciated. They came on a Saturday to power-wash everything first, then began work the following Monday, as planned. Weather cooperated beautifully, so the crew was able to finish in four full days. They spent a full day prepping, which included covering and taping windows, caulking, and repairing/replacing damaged wood. It took about a day and a half to spray paint the house and garage, and about two full days to paint trim/doors, most of which, was by hand. Admittedly, I was very nervous about hiring someone to do this work, because I have always done all the painting myself. I'm very picky and critical, and was worried I just wouldn't be happy. But I don't do tall ladders, so leaving it to the professionals was our only option. And I'm so very glad we did! The crew was always on time, polite, and cleaned up after themselves at the end of each work day. It was obvious that they are held accountable to high standards, as they were very meticulous in their work. Jim came back to inspect the crews' work on the last day. Any imperfections he saw were relayed to the crew and were touched up on the spot. I will also add, that, even though Valentine Painting wasn't our cheapest option, they were definitely our BEST option! Thirty years of expertise in the business, the use of high-quality paint, and a talented crew comes at a price. For us, it was worth every penny!

We had excellent service from Valentine's Painting. Jim Valentine was first to respond to our request for quotes, and was both personable and professional. The work was done promptly and we couldn't be happier with the results. His crew was courteous and careful, and the paint was top-of-the-line Sherwin Williams, which was included in the price. The prep and cleanup was excellent. In the end, you get what you pay for. We would definitely hire Jim again!

This is the third time we have used Valentine Painting. At our old house, they painted our kitchen island and added bead board under the bar as well as adding crown molding to our master bedroom and bathroom. When we bought our new house, we wanted the entire house painted before we moved in. They did such a great job at our old house that we immediately knew we would use them. While they are not the cheapest painter, they do an absolutely wonderful job. You get what you pay for and with Valentine Painting, you get exceptional work, professionalism, punctuality, and cleanliness. Also, they came back out twice for touch ups after the job was done free of charge. Couldn't be more pleased with the project and work done. Will definitely use again for future painting needs and have highly recommended to all we know.

I was amazed at how knowledgeable and skilled the painters were. They did an outstanding job of prepping the ceiling, walls, and trim. They covered everything completely and put coverings on the walking areas to each room. The ceiling repairs look so much better than before. Two coats of paint were apllied to each area. The cleanup was better than I expected. And the painters did their own touch-ups so I could not find any areas that needed work. I was so impressed with this company and plan to use them again for others areas of the house. You won't regret hiring these people!

Jim was very responsive and incredibly thorough in his estimate. His price was fair and he included more details than other quotes. The crew was on a tight timeline, and they arrived promptly on the first day. It was nice to do a walk through with the crew lead - he let me change a paint color, and was very friendly. Jim stopped by on the first day to check on the progress. The crew worked diligently to finish out the work. They were respectful and tidy, and stuck around for Jim’s final walk-through. Jim caught details that we wouldn’t have noticed, and they were quickly corrected before the crew finished the project. Great work - will use again!

They did an extraordinary job with regard to professionalism, punctuality, quality and clean-up.

Jim was very professional and polite and responsive. He and his team were quick to answer any questions thoroughly and promptly. I felt that the prep work that the team did on the original, 1930 wood siding will help to prolong the job and I was extremely pleased with how neat and tidy the job was executed (no drips, runs, or spills - all straight lines and corners). The job was scheduled a month out, but was definitely worth the wait and will use Valentine again when time to repaint the interior of my home. Highly recommend if owner is willing to pay full, market rate for what turned out to be an excellent job.
