For Lawn Aeration, they kept promising me a date and then not showing up. This happened three times. This went on for four weeks. Finally after the 4th promised date, they showed up. I'm not happy since it was mid-fall when the leaves are dropping from trees. It is tough to grow new grass when leaves cover the seeds and new grass. For weed control, they have done nothing. I keep getting fertilizer applications. My weeds have never looked better. All they do is spread fertilizer in a spreader. I could do that myself. Rep was misleading. He showed up at my door (red flag) and described how they would use a spray on weed control system. Again, this has not been done. For the money, it is not worth it.

I arrived home on the early evening of 08/20/15 to find my lawn looking horrible. There were big mud holes everywhere (front lawn and back lawn). It looked like a wild animal tore up my lawn. The grass had been uplifted and overturned in numerous spots. On the right side of my property there were large, deep holes in the grass, such that only mud was visible. There was mud smeared all on the side of my neighbor's home. The problem was that the team that came out to my house performed aeration and overseeding when they should not have. There had been torrential rains on the 3 days prior to them coming out. In addition, there was a guy who was working on my floor (indoors) said he heard one of Tru Green workers saying "I don't give a F!@&" Well, I certainly don't want a company like that providing any services for me.

Called this company, since they were PGA approved. My yard is Bermuda Grass. Said they would send a tech out to do an "analysis" of the yard. When the tech came out on June 23rd, Mike Yard, he sprayed the yard for broadleaf weeds, why, I haven't a clue since there are no broadleaf weeds present. Thinking they would take a soil sample to see what was lacking so that a "customized treatment" for my lawn can be developed. When I called them to ask why a soil sample was not done, they told me that has to be requested.....How the h*** do you do a analysis if you don't even take a soil sample to find out what is needed. Talked to the tech, Mike Yard, via phone and he said that I needed to wait at least 2 weeks and preferably a month to take a soil sample, since he sprayed for weeds ( you know the ones that I said are not even there). I get home today, June 25th and find that the tech, Mike Yard, came out and took a soil sample. This is the same guy who said that I needed to wait 2 weeks to a month, since the chemical sprayed 2 days ago would give an in accurate reading. What a bunch of jerkoffs at the very best. They have NO clue what they are doing.

I cannot believe I wasted my time and money on this. I had read mixed reviews but saw a friend's lawn that looked great. I am starting to wonder if his yard was in OK/great condition beforehand. We needed to get rid of crab grass and grow grass in patches throughout our front lawn. I paid over $700 for my front yard only and it looks like it did a year ago. I even had a landscaper mowing my grass to the short length they suggested. Any company that can quote you based on a satellite image is questionable. I should have known better so I am more mad at myself than the company at this point... The technician always came when he said he would. I started to receive bills this last month - I am assuming my contract was up but was never contacted to renew.

I just like that they're a national company. They show up when they're supposed to show up. I just like that it's organized because it's a franchise of a national company. They have a website that you can go onto and pay your invoices and see what services they are doing.

They do a good job. It’s reasonably priced and the grass looks very nice as a result.

They are pretty prompt. They leave the invoice on my door for me. The results of the service were not good and my lawn doesn't look that great.

They've been good. They did what they promised. They don't need to be reminded. They came as they promised. If you have any problems, call them and tell them. The quality of their work was very good.

They were fine. They have done a good job for me, there is no dislikes.

I have a service contract with them in Angie's List service contract. They came out and fertilized and so far they've been okay with that portion of it. The only thing that I'm not sure that they're doing is in the agreement. I did ask them to take care of spraying for ants. I have ant problem here, pretty big one. It's not that I do have ant problems. I do have pretty big problem. Even though I've been gone for like two months, there still ants in the house. I put out entraps. I had a guy that comes out and spray. They are a pest control kind of company. Even though they come out and spray, and every time I'm complaining, they would come out and it's not a problem. They do pretty good job. I still have ants coming in. So one of the things I asked to them to do is in order for them to keep the contract and that contract was to take care of ants on the lawn and they said they would do that. So I haven't seen how some of the ants usually, when after the rain, they go back in there and they clean out their tunnels. There's usually dirt around the ant holes. I haven't seen those lately. So they may have found that but like I said I'm still having ants coming into the house. I don't know where they're coming from. But anyway, that's not the big issue. The big issue is when they came out to put fertilizer down, they noticed that something was eating from under my shrubs. So they left me a package. I said I want to pay a lower price and they agreed. So they came out with spray and I got a bill from them that says " Okay, you just find out for a series of 8 sprayings including fertilizers". That's what my issue is with them right now. I haven't even gone to talk to them yet. I would use them again in the future.

It was fine and we don't have a problem. We've had them for a long time. They are a good company and they do a good job. Their price is comparable to others in the area.

I really like them. They are very customer oriented. Back in the spring, we had a weed like thing growing in the yard, and I called and asked them to come out and look at it, and they came out, but they didn't leave anything for me to know that they have been here. I called them, and told them that they hadn't been here, and the guy said that they had been here, and that was something they couldn't do anything about, but it dies out with the heat, and I looked into it, and he was right. When I called them, the supervisor called back to explain what it was. The guy who comes out is very knowledgeable and is very nice. They call before they come out, so you can move your cars or anything on the weed. I have recommended them, and my neighbor uses them. When you call them, you don't get a machine, you get a person. When I call them, and ask them to send out a person within the next day or so, he will be there. They leave a little form that the guys signs, so you can know they were there, and call and ask for the same person. Our yard looks very good. Their prices have gone up. They aerate and all, but I wouldn't use them for that because it is very expensive. They say they are expensive because if the grass doesn't grow, they come out and do it again.

Unless you are home when the technician comes by (an automated call is made to your phone a few days before telling you the day), it is very, very difficult to actually talk to someone about your specific problem/lawn. The customer service number is not answered by someone in your town/area. They pass on your message to the technician and he may or may not call you back. I think the service would be better if they actually talked to me every so often to ask how things were going.

Do not use this company for lawn services! My lawn did not benefit from their services. Once they get you to sign up for services they make it impossible to stop services even when they say you can quit at any time. After I called to quit, they continued to show up and bill me for services. They didn't stop service after I canceled and when I didn't pay the bill because I had canceled service, they had a collection agency contact me for the money. I called to quit for the second time. If they show up again, I will contact the better business bureau to investigate.

They are very good and awesome. They come out once a month to do the work for us. They are very nice people and they are very courteous. They come out and explain things. They leave a card every time telling everything that they did and how much each product that they put out on our lawn and on our trees cost.

The service started at one price and over time that price kept going higher and higher and out lawn started to look worse and worse.

The technician showed up and I showed them my problem areas. I went to the truck and I asked him to wait a couple of minutes so I could get my neighbors young children away from the fence. I'm talkling about two minutes max. He said he would. HE DIDN'T! I was walking straight to the kids that were actually hanging on the fence and the technician did not even stop spraying despite clearly seeing them there. He actually sprayed chemicals on one of them and did not even stop. I watched him spray the whole time and he was missing entire areas of my yard. He then reeled up the hose and gave me a printout and was walking to the truck to leave. No lawn analysis, no recommendations, nothing! I had to stop him to ask what was next. He just laughed and said I would be cutting the grass every four days eventually. I made a comment that he must get a lot of exercise doing this and he responded " I make up for it with beer." Then he drove off. Unprofessional is an understatement. In the areas the technician actually sprayed the clover died off quickly. But, the areas he missed were larger and growing faster. I called on a Wednesday afternoon to see if they could send someone out to treat the missed areas. They said they would have the local TruGreen franchise call me and schedule a time. (I have a garden areas beside my house so I needed to talk to them to make sure that if I was not home not to spray my garden areas) They NEVER called and the following Monday afternoon they had not come. I called the main TruGreen number and cancelled my service. I do not do business with companies who do not do what they say they are going to do and especially who have such unprofessional and careless employees. Now I have a half dead yard that looks very un_TruGreen. I am going to use a locally owned company to fix the mess and not spray my neighbors young children with dangerous chemicals.

The quality of their work has deteriorated each year I've used them. I should not have paid for 2014 services in advance. My lawn was beautiful several years ago, and TruGreen has done a very poor job controlling weeds. Today, half the sod in my front yard is dead, and there are broadleaf weeds throughout both the front and back yards. There are large patches of dead grass this Spring that weren't there last year. Last year they missed two lawn services due to some problem within their company. When I pre-pay for lawn care, I shouldn't have to be calling them multiple times to fix problems. I would never recommend their Charlotte franchise. Just a horrible experience, and a bad reflection on ServiceMaster in general. If they're going to own and franchise multiple service brands, they should invest a bit on monitoring quality control.

We’re satisfied with them. They always come when they say they will and do what they say they’ll do. They are careful not to damage any of your plants. We have over an acre of land and they are very respectful of our property. I’d rather to be doing organic and I think there’s no organic company in town. Their service is good. We’ve used them for a number of years.

Horrible service. I've used this company for over a year with the hopes they would make good on their promises to improve my lawn. I have 13,000 sq ft of lawn and the employee would show up with a little back pack and walk and spray the area. Needless to say, we had patchy areas of treatment leaving the yard very unbalanced. To top it off, at times they would come and apply treatment so sparingly that in just a matter of minutes they were done. My yard still looks absolutely horrible. Money down the drain. I would never recommend this company.

Though TruGreen's services seemed to be mostly effective on my lawn, their customer service was horrendous, both at the national and local level. I signed up through their website, on a form where I had to enter my credit card information - I decided to prepay a year to take advantage of a promotion, or so I thought. Turns out, I got the promotion, but I was never charged in one lump sum. I had made the initial order when I was moving, so my credit card entered had an address at my old place. At first, after noticing I had not been billed, I called up the local office (you have better odds of winning something on a scratch off lottery ticket than getting through to their local office), and the receptionist informed me that I had no balance in the system. 2 months later, they send me a note saying that I'm past due on billing. They had been sending bills to my old billing address but without an apartment number listed, so nothing was ever forwarded to me. After spending some more time trying to get through to them, we finally worked things out. I had to spend countless hours trying to get through to them, and their national call center is just an answering service, that can't even pass along messages to a local office. The last straw was attempting to create an online account - apparently just like the credit card "payment" I made on their site, this, too, was either a buggy system, or a non-existent feature at the time that was just put online to look nice. After all of this hassle brought on by communication issues with the local office and inability to manage my own account online when I couldn't get in touch with anyone, I switched to my lawn mowing service to fertilize, even at a slightly higher price. The frustration from lack of responsiveness and bad systems with TruGreen was not worth the money saved.

Not very well. I had billing issues - thought I was receiving products that i paid for a year in advance, but then they billed me later. The weeds didn't disappear like I hoped. The aeration/overseeding wasn't very successful even though I watered. I would not use TruGreen again.

I had a brand new yard in February. I did not lose any more grass than what was expected with a new lawn. Several times I have had to prompt them to come out and do the actual treatments. They claim they checked the yard and would treat as needed beyond normal treatment. I had to call them to treat my yard several times or to remind them it was time for normal treatment. They are supposed to be maintaining my yard but the scheduling and inspections has not been done as expected. After I have voiced my complaints to the person who sold me the contract their performance did improved. I originally signed up with them to come out seven times for normal treatment during the course of the year. They did not come out seven times. They claim they came out in January 2014, but they did not. No notice was left and we never saw them, the business office says they came out. Also, I don't what they would be doing to my yard in January. They charged different prices than what they put on contract. For example salesman quotes $85.00 without 10% off and accounting charges $100.00, Fungicide treatment $111.00 and you get charged $200.00, Aeration and Over-seed $240.00 and the charged $341.00. Some they correct and others they did not. The salesman claimed they will correct them at the end and don't worry about it. It never has happened. They claim they completed the contract because it was an annual contract, even if they they did not fulfill all the services they based the contract on. I recently called and left message to have someone call me to discuss discrepancies, but they have not called back. They have a good product, but it appears they are poorly managed and/or the sales individuals are saying what they need to say to get your business from competition. Also, the sales person that gave me a quote, pointed out how if you pay in advance you receive 10 percent off. Do not do that, because you may not get what you pay for. The prices never reflected the 10% off. Once your account funds are gone then you have to pay additional cost. Remember the charges on my account didn't reflect my contract. If you use them always check your account on line and don't accept they will correct at the end. Do pay by the treatment and not by the year. UPDATE: Trugreen customer service called me and they completed the contract obligation. I am still using the service, but I am paying per treatment. My lawn looks great.

The cost depends on the size of your yard but for us it was $50 a service.
