TOWN & COUNTRY FENCE

Town and Country Fence was recommended to me by a coworker. I had a few other companies come out and quote this job and decided to go with them based on price and professionalism. The salesman that came out to do the estimate was very helpful and gave great recommendations on the style and location of the fence. He gave me an estimate right there, which was very nice not have to wait on. They were comparable in price to other companies but I felt they were better suited to complete the job in a timely manner. The salesman also informed me that due the recent poor weather, they were on about a two week lead time to come out and install the fence. We hit a little snag beginning the installation as they were delayed a couple days due to weather but they called to inform me ahead of time they would not be able to make it. When they made it out to my house, I walked around the property with the foreman to verify the location of the fence and gates. When I returned from work later that day, they had a good portion of the work completed. However, I realized a problem. After I saw the fence, I realized that I didn't show them the property line and corners correctly. I called the next morning and spoke with the owner. After we agreed the fence had to be moved, he informed me they would be able to move the fence over to the correct property line and complete the work. I was relieved to hear that. They completed the remaining work quickly and with a high degree of quality. The part I was most nervous about was how much extra I was going to be charged due to the extra work required to move the fence. After I saw the final invoice, my fears disappeared. The slight increase in the total price was very reasonable and I was very happy with the work completed. I highly recommend Town and Country Fence.

Overall, a great experience with Town and Country fence. The office staff was very responsive and Greg was out in a few days to give me an estimate. My backyard was a little tricky because of a detached garage. Not only was Greg able to create a plan that would work, he also gave me a few suggestions to achieve my goal (giving my little dog a safe place to play). The installers came within a week after the contract was signed and finished most of the fence that first day. My gates were done on a subsequent day, but this was explained to me ahead of time. I am very pleased with the look and installation of the fence! I recommend this company.

Getting a fence is a big investment. I got a recommendation from friends for this company. They were great at first and sold me to use them. Price was right and it seemed like it was going to work. However, they failed to keep up with their reputation. They came the first day to put the majority of the fence in. And at the end of the day, they told me they would come back to finish their work the NEXT day. But they left the two holes with no fence in the back of my yard and the gates were not put in. I expected them to show up the next day only they did not show up. I called them to see what was going on and they said they needed to get the gates customized and they would not be ready until the following week. I was livid. No one told me that was going to be the case. So they left me with a non functional fence with a dog and two toddlers running around for almost a week. I told them it was unacceptable. The owner did call me to apologize, which was nice. But they should have communicated to me that the gates were to be custom made. However, the two holes they left in the fence was unacceptable. It is pure laziness that they did not finish that. I can let the custom gates go but not the unfinished parts of the fence. Needless to say, I will not be using them again or recommending them to neighbors. They have lost my business.

The planning and installation went very well. This company was recommended by our landscape designer so when the estimate came back at a very fair price point, we were sold. Brian Sanford even gave me addresses of fences that they had installed. I spoke with the owner of one of the properties and he only had great things to say. Brian also worked with us to give us a price break since our son and daughter-in-law were going to have Town and Country install their fence, too. We feel that they did a very good job and a big plus is the quality of the fence...made in the USA! That matters to us.

Excellent company to deal with. Workers arrived on time for scheduled appointments and were a pleasure to deal with. Very professional group from the office level down to the acutual fence installers. No unexpected surprises. My wife and I would definitely recommend this company to anyone wanting a fence installed. Again, a sheer pleasure to deal with.

They were excellent. It was a brand new house. When the guy came out to look at the house, he realized that one of my neighbor's sprinkler heads was actually on my side of the property line. Course it also meant that one of mine was on their property.

We did not have a bad experience. However, we chose another company that gave a better estimate and whom we felt would provide better service.

My husband took care of all of that and he has since passed away. We had gotten several other quotes from other people. They were not the cheapest, but they were quality. They knew what they were talking about. They came out and they had it done and put up in two days. It was wonderful. The fence works wonderfully. It does its job. It is sturdy and it hasn't started to give or anything like that. I am a hundred percent happy with it. I would definitely call them again if I had fencing needs in the future. I wouldn't call anybody else.

End-to-end the process went very smooth. We were very upfront about expectations and they met all of them. Brian showed up on-time, gave a quote right away and installation started within a week. During installation the workers arrived on time, worked quickly and did a great job. Workers were very friendly and competent. The gates were framed using aluminum and work really well. All aspects of the job were very good.

When they put the fence in, it seemed to go well. Then our neighbors put their house up for sale, and a buyer had a survey done. That was when we found out one side of the fence was on the neighbor's property. I called Town and Country to tell them about it. All they would do is give us a $50 rebate on the cost of moving that part of the fence--which would cost $1200. Instead of $1200, they would do it for $1150. Needless to say, I did not find this adequate. I spoke to a lawyer about taking legal action, but that would be costly and time-consuming. So I ended up hiring a different company to move the fence. On the whole, I don't think they were very professional in the way they (a) made the mistake and (b) refused to rectify it.

Great experience! T&CF realized they had quoted us based on one quality of materials - we had wanted the superior quality. Since error was arguably theirs, they installed the better quality fence at no extra charge. Professionals were timely, considerate, polite and did top-notch work. Highly recommend!

I had a fantastic experience with Town & Country. Kenny came out to measure the back yard and discuss fencing options with me. He gave me brochures and estimates for three different kinds of fences. Once I decided on the PVC privacy fence, he put me in touch with a surveyor. The surveyor came out and marked the property lines so I could maximize the usable space in my back yard. Kenny came out a second time to note the final dimensions of the fence, including some angles to get around trees in a natural area. The crew showed up on the scheduled day after a week's lead time. They finished substantially all of the fence in two days. However, the shop had cut some of the pieces wrong and they had to finish up the following week. Kenny apologized and they wrapped up in one day the next week. The installers did an excellent job and the fence looks great. They were even able to minimize the gap under the fence as I had requested, even though my yard slopes very steeply in the back. I couldn't be happier with the final product since the workmanship was so good and my back yard now feels like a refuge from the rest of the world. My dogs love it too and I have no worries about them trying to tunnel out. Great job by Town and Country.

I called to get an estimate and Brian came out right away. He measured the yard and provided a quote on the spot, which included a drawing and the fence specs. I had 2 other companies quote as well and one was lower so Brian matched the price. Town & Country arrived on time to install the fence. The workers were very professional and answered a few of my questions. There was an issue with the location of a tree recently planted so they were not able to finish the job the same day. They were very understanding and came back once the landscaper moved the tree. The second set of workers were equally nice and professional. I highly recommend Town & Country Fence.

I specified that my neighborhood needed new steel-frame doors for our dumpster enclosures. I explained that the old doors were repeatedly falling off the hinges because the hinges were not able to sustain the weight of the doors. I was dumbfounded when I saw the results: they built and installed new wooden doors with an ineffectual steel frame screwed to the back side. The steel frame was entirely for show, as it was not weight-bearing. I was beside myself because I meant for the steel frame to be weight-bearing to make the doors sturdier, but I guess I didn't make myself clear. The new doors looked good for a few weeks before they too started falling off the hinges for the same reason (they were too heavy for surface mount hinges). Now we're having to replace all of those doors again. Shame on them for not being professional enough to recognize what kind of design they needed to use to make these doors last for more than a few weeks.

Failed to show up twice in a row. Excuses offered by office and estimator (once he finally showed up) did not match. When they finally did show, no apologies were offered. Estimate was verbally discussed and was told the estimate would be written up and emailed within a day. Now it has been over a week and have not received anything. What was verbally discussed was higher priced than the Angie's List competition. I'll be going with a more reliable company who is eager for the business.

I got good vibes about the provider and they were the least expensive when compared to the others. Their product is of a superior quality too. They did their job as promised, and the fence is still standing after a couple of storms.

Brian came out to take measurements of the yard and a couple days later he called and emailed me an estimate. The estimate was in between two others so I asked to see some examples of work. I went out to his facility and was taken through the warehouse and saw for myself the fencing material, posts and arbor. The quality appeared far superior than the others I saw. Since I had to wait for homeowners association approval, we agreed that I would call when it was ok to proceed. When I had the approval in hand, I called and was told that because of the rain, it would be a couple of weeks before they could start work but Brian would call before coming out. I wanted to be home when the arbor was going in to be sure it was placed correctly. A few days later, I came home from work and found that the old fence was gone and some of the fenceposts were in place. I wish they would have called before starting work. Couldn't help but wonder what they would have done if I had a dog in the backyard. Anyway, it took them a day longer than they anticipated but the work and workmanship is outstanding. My neighbors on either side of me have similary fences from different companies and it is very easy to see that my fence is the best quality. One neighbor reported that they took great care in leveling and measuring and he was impressed with what they were doing. The yard is transformed and it puts a smile on my face to see it.

Brian arrived at my home on time last Friday and measured my back yard for the fence. He said he would call on Monday with a quote. It's now been a week and I haven't heard from him.

They were quick and clean and did exactly what I wanted. They were knowledgeable, professional and cleaned up very well.

No surprises. They did exactly what and when they committed to.

Fence install went great from the original estimate to the final install. Sales representative was professional, on time, responsive to questions and available. This was a big yard that will have a pool installed in three months. He was knowledgeable on state/county pool code requirements for fencing and some recent changes for 2008. Installation staff of two worked hard all day for three days and kept the site clean. They always made a point to ask me when decisions had to be made on small changes instead of just doing what they thought. If I made I a decision that would not work, they were good giving advice with their experience. We even were encouraged to visit the facility to look at the actual products and to see the spacing for containing a small dog.

Good experience, looks great, have sent 3 other people to them for fences. Had a few minor problems since installation with latches not registering correctly, but would definitely use again.

Kenny said, they wouldn't make any money. He wanted to sell us a new fence rather than trying to fix the old one. I told him we do not want a new fence. He said, he would email a proposal the following day but, we received a very nice-looking proposal in the mail over a week later. It did not include correcting the latch on the gate.

The total experience of dealing with this company was excellent. They returned our phone call to set up an estimate (not many other companies even responded). The estimator showed up on time and gave a written quote. The install crew was excellent to deal with and showed up on time and finished the work completely. The job did take a few days longer than expected, but they ran into very rocky soil while digging the holes for the fence. There was no additional charge from the original quote even though it took longer. The fence is beautiful.

They were prompt for there estimate appointment. They informed us ahead of time when the work would start and they did a beautiful job. I would definitely recommend them to others.
