Great! The men knew exactly what to do and were most professional and knowledgeable about the trees. They were nice to work with as well. Allen had diagramed the work to be done and the guys took it from there. I couldn't have ask for a better crew!

The crew really knew what they were doing...the work I had requested was accurately reflected on the written job order, and the crew executed to a 't'. They cleaned up after themselves...I could hardly tell they had been here, except the work had been completed. Thanks...this is the 2nd time I've used Davey in Charlotte, and will do it again the the future

Guy came out, gave me a ridiculous estimate, about $1,500 higher then everyone else. I told him that I was going with someone else. He said he’d “revamp my estimate”. He came down $800 which still was higher then the others. I explained where he needed to be for me to consider him. He emailed me back in all caps that he didn’t believe me, he wanted to see the other estimates. Needless to say, I never responded to him and went with one of the other companies.

Sales rep called to come early which was fine. From the moment he arrived, he came across "grumpy" - not sure why. When he viewed the two large trees, he took several minutes to complain about how hard it was going to be and not sure how they were going to do and concluded this was going to "require being charged by the hour". The hourly charge was $2700 per day and was not quoted as to how much time. This is complete non-sense. This is a tree company that is supposed to know how to do this work and give a firm quote. I had three other tree folks quote the same work and they didn't complain about how much work or wonder how they were going to do it and certainly did not quote "by the hour". Avoid Davey completely unless you like giving your paycheck away to them. The sales rep also did not convey a since of confidence they would be able to do the work at all or properly. Having dealt with many vendors professionally over the years, it is my suspicion that "by the hour" because "we just don't know how we are going to do it" is *normal* for Davey so they can take no risk and make tons of money - especially the sales rep who probably gets paid a nice commission. I went with Kiker Tree who quoted within two minutes and was a firm price of $800 for both trees (leaving the wood in my yard).

No issues, went quickly, efficiently, and safely.

The reps from Davey Tree service that I dealt with were all extremely knowledgeable, professional and easy to deal with. I have read other comments that considered this service a little pricey, but I am a firm believer of the "you get what you pay for" philosophy. The degree of expertise, the developed systems that were employed and the caliber of workmanship that Davey Tree Service offers are a level of service that far surpasses what I have previously encountered in this industry.

Great! I had a lower bid from another company, but they were unresponsive, and Davey matched the lower bid, so I went with them.

Used Davey to remove a Sweet Gum tree from my front yard, grind the stump and trim 3 Crape Myrtles. I worked with Matt via email. He was very responsive and all the work was done in a timely manner. They forgot to remove some roots from my yard that we had discussed. I contacted Matt who said they would take care of them immediately. They were taken care of immediately. I recommend this company and will use again.

I didn't actually have them come out because I used someone else. They were just too slammed with business.

Then, a friend had Davey come out and do hers and that's why I called them. Someone had told me that they came and did hers. They came which was the most important thing. They did a good job at cleaning up and all that. The cost was comparable to anybody else around. We've used them twice. I had some other estimates before I used Davey and they were all about the same. Quality was fine. They came, they did the job and they cleaned up. We were happy.

We had issue with one tree that they did but everything else was good. It was fine. They should ask more questions about how we want things trimmed.

I Actually didn't like it, I thought the guy was pushy he sold me on a service that I thought was a one time fertilizing thing and end up he kept coming out, he came out the next year and did the fertilizing without telling you and then charge me two hundred and ninety bucks. Just make sure you know what your signing up for if your signing up for anything.

It worked out well. I liked their punctuality and quality of service. My interaction with them was fine. The work turned out great. They were good at their job.

It was okay. I've been using them for a couple of years now. I want to have them come back because of their price. They're not as responsive and responsible as I would have liked.

I have not used them for a couple of three years. because it was too expensive. So, that it why I had to stop. I have to say they did top quality work. I have had them most of the years that I have lived here in this house; so for a good 20 years I have used Davey Tree. The quality was top. The average bill was around $1,000. It was not like one tree; it might have been a couple of things. I think that was their policy, too. They said they had a policy of at least four hours in duration. They would not come out for a small job so I saved up stuff to fill about four hours. That is why it was expensive. They are high priced. Nobody is perfect.

They did a good job. They were not cheap. They did good work.
