Description of Work: Superior Hardscapes installed brick pavers over our weathered cement front patio and steps. This involved rerouting some electrical wires and some irrigation components - and this was accomplished without difficulty. They did an excellent job, and should I have other similar jobs, they would be first on my list to call.

+ 1 moreSteven came out at my convenience to measure, paint, and estimate the cost for a patio. He came in at roughly half the cost of another quote that I received, but I took the chance for the cost savings. He was very patient with my wife and I while we deliberated patio size, cost, timing, etc. We had to delay the project do to rain, but Steven and his crew went above and beyond. They included a buried PVC pipe for my garden hose and the removal of a concrete slab in the job. The work came out beautifully, we're thrilled with the product. Even after we had paid, Steven still came back to acid wash the patio and replace a few chipped pavers to make sure that we were completely satisfied. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone, and I would do business with him again.
Description of Work: Steven and his crew laid a 400 square foot paver patio with seating wall and firepit at my new house.

I ended up with someone else and the one that I actually chose was a recommendation from a neighbor. I worked with him and he gave me the best deal because it was a referral from a friend.

+ 1 moreSteven did an excellent job in all respects. First of all the quality of the job and the finished product was outstanding. His attention to detail and refusal to compromise quality for convenience was a breath of fresh air, particularly as we were in the final stages of building a home with a GC who had the opposite perspective on quality. Not only did he pay attention to his work but also helped us identify other areas of work outside his scope that needed to be addressed which became very important to us. Second, he worked with us on a short timetable and was available nights and weekends as we needed him, in the midst of having his second child. Third, his pricing was very reasonable and less than a number of other companies wanted to charge. Fourth, he also helped us out taking on other tasks just to ensure our property looked good. For example, when the sidewalk was finished, we realized we needed a bit more sod and Steve took it upon himself to pick it up, cut it to fit and lay it down to finish the project. His crew cleaned up after themselves and could not have been more polite and accommodating. We would be happy to serve as a reference for Steven and expect to use him again. Andy and Kate A.
Description of Work: I hired Steven to lay down travertine in three areas, a basement patio, a pool deck and a walk to connect the patio to a set of stairs. The total square footage of all three areas was probably close to 1300 square feet.

He made several suggestions to the design which illustrated his vast experience in his area of expertise. He and his crew did an excellent job at a very fair price. We were very pleased with all aspects ot the job and intend to use him again for a bigger project we plan to undertake in the future.
Description of Work: Built a stone retaining wall around our patio which required numerous turns and angles. We had started the project ourselves but quickly realized we were in over our heads.

Description of Work: Our experience with Steven and his crew was excellent. He arrived when he said he would for both the estimate and the work. We had to reschedule and he called to update me on that which I always appreciate! We had some significant drainage issues in our back yard that surrounded and existing paver patio that we had installed years before. Due to a destructive puppy we have had a muddy mess now for the last 1.5 years. We also had a very unlevel yard from the original grading which made it difficult to use. Well, not anymore!! I could not be more pleased with the outcome of their work. Because of the grade of our yard, the original foundation for our patio had built up and no retention was placed in at the time it was slip sliding away. Steven took care of that providing a beautiful paver retaining wall with a very substantial foundation and trust me, that patio foundation isn't going anywhere! He installed drainage on sides and within the retaining wall along with fill dirt and now I get to have fun planting all sorts of beautiful plants there. Next, he addressed our primary issues of poor drainage; a problem original to the builder -Ryland. He tied in several of our downspouts that contributed to a constant soggy mess with french drains-hand dug and run all the way thru to the back of our yard. Next, he brought in tons (literally) of fill dirt and brought our yard to level tamping the layers down so it is solid. .By the time he was done, our yard looks completely diffferent and amazing. We could not be more pleased. The crew that worked with him were great too. Very polite, cleaned up after their work and just great. It's one of those experiences that you hope will go well and then you are pleasantly surprised when it goes so smoothly and you have an outcome that is better than you could have expected. Steven's vision as to what to do with our project was spot on. He definitely knows what he is doing and that is clearly evident by our results. I heartily recommend Superior Hardscapes and will turn to them for any future projects!

+ -1 moreThe overall process was great! Pro-image did a fabulos job, the patio looks great and everything went smoothly along the way. Pro-image was punctual and knowledgable about the patio. Also, we provided the materials and Pro-image did not take any money until the job was complete. This was important to us since we have had other contractors walk off with our money in the middle of the process.

His pricing is reasonable, fully explained and affordable. He communicates well with his client and tries to make sure you are pleased with the result. In October, I have asked Steve to build the raised patio for me out of stone pavers and remove the old wooden deck. It is so nice to work with someone so capable and reliable.
Description of Work: Steve Gillard expertly completed several projects for me. He edged a large bed of trees and re-planted each tree to correct the prior landscapers poor work. Steve also built great looking raised beds from stone pavers beside the shed. Finally, Steve replaced one dead tree, and mulched 29 trees. His work is excellent and he is easy to work with. Steve has many creative ideas and he is talented with landscaping. He is very dependable and takes pride in his work.
