We discovered damp water marks on our upstairs bathroom ceiling during a rain storm. Shawn came out a few days later and after a thorough inspection of our roof he applied silicone around a vent pipe and another problem area and didn't charge us a cent. Best of all, we've had heavy rains since and no more leak!

Shawn arrived and did not look like the traditional roof estimate. He was dressed in a golf shirt and khaki pants, neat, professional, and detailed. His well-mannered and professional demeanor let us know that he was serious and dedicated to excellent customer care. The estimate and work agreement arrived by fax the next day. I talked with him again by phone regarding the date he could begin the work and explained the work to be done. He was upfront about his workload schedule due to the heavy rain weather and when he would be able to begin my work. The work was completed in one day. Excellent removal of debris, and nothing left on the lawn, etc. The only tell-tale sign of work was looking at the chimney and seeing it's new flash! Highly recommend, excellent work.

Shawn returned our phone inquire for a quote promptly. He called and arrived at our house at the time scheduled. He walked around our house and got up on our roof to examine the damage we described. He explained the roofing process and visually showed us the shingle process. We discussed replacing the entire roof and asked his advice for our current situation. We were extremely pleased with this professionalism, knowledge and honesty. He called 2 weeks later when he said he would call to schedule the work date. He called a day or two before the scheduled work date to confirm date, time and give me the name of the worker who was in charge. Three men arrived at my home and introduced themselves; we walked around the house to make sure all the areas were being addressed and once finished he returned to show me the split collar they replaced and tell me they were finished.

Shawn came out to give us an estimate and explained out options to save a little money. We selected the shingles and the crew arrived at the appointed time, time a great job and was very thorough. The second part of the project was the replacement of our gutters, which was done by another crew. They completed the project in less than a day and cleaned up thoroughly also. Shawn checked in each day a crew was here (three days total) and readily answered any questions I had. He even brought his wife over one day as she is a real estate agent and I had mentioned that we were looking at getting ideas to improve the home overall for future sale. She was very helpful, as Shawn had been. The price for the rood was $8500 and included removing a power vent fan that was not working properly and adding ridge vents to replace the powered fan. Our home has a hip roof, meaning that shingles and gutters surround the entire house;about 300' of gutters!

Southern Home Services did an excellent job. Shawn left me voice mail to tell me that someone else would be coming to replace the shingles. The young man introduced himself, worked quickly, and cleaned up very nicely. He also let me know when he was finished. We've not had much rain, which of course is the ultimate test, but at this point the roof appears to be fixed. Another Angie's List roofer told me I would be best off replacing my roof. Shawn told me he thought the roof had another four or five years left on it and that he would not recommend a replacement now, saving me over $5000.

Shawn has been a delight to work with. He has returned calls promptly, confirmed the appointment via email and was here on schedule. He was even willing to go up on the roof in the pouring rain. Another roofer was suggesting a new roof because he could not find a leak. Shawn found a nail pop in rain without much light, saving me thousands of dollars. I've not yet received a bill, but surely it will be less than a new roof. He is now my roofer!

Shawn was punctual, very pleasant, honest and knowledgeable. I was prepared to hear I needed a new roof but ended up with my problem being fixed for nothing. He did advise that this might not be the complete fix, but he could not see anything else that needed to be done at this time. If this did not take care of the leak he asked that I call and he would do further investigation.

Job 1: These guys did a great job. I was procrastinating having our roof done because of the potential mess and damage to my yard. Turned out not to be a problem. They were very careful, cleaned up everyday and were pleasant to deal with. I would highly recommend Shawn and his crew to anyone. Job 2: These guys do a great job. On time, hard working, no messing around. Clean up thoroughly each day. This is the second house they have shingles for me and have done a great job. It was a great experience.

Shawn is very knowledgeable and professional and I was very impressed with him and his company. The quote I received from him was very competitive and I'm certain that he would have done an excellent job had I hired him to do the work. I plan on reaching out to Shawn next year for roof replacement.

Shawn was responsive to our initial call, call to reconfirm our appointment and was on time. Shawn is a very polite, clean cut individual and it was a pleasure having him at our home. His price was very reasonable and we plan to have him do additional work.

Shawn was on time and was very professional. I would definitely use this company again.

Cannot say enough positive about Shawn and his employees. On time, cleaned up well, but, most important to me - - I told Shawn the motivating reason for roof replacement was d/t leak around chimney. I asked him if he would guarantee no leaks, and he said yes. Little rain all summer so leak not discovered until fall. Shawn immediately offered to have ceiling replaced, had his employees replace flashing three times, and leak prevailed. Long story short, and to my embarrassment, the leak is in chimney (Shawn called chimney specialist himself). Shawn's parents need to be commended (as does Shawn). He is as honest and polite as the day is long. I would hire him again, without obtaining other estimates. Now, if only he would open a home repair/inside maintenance business.

WE COULD HAVE NOT ASKED FOR BETTER SERVICE. ALL WORK DONE VERY PROFESSIONALLY AND ON TIME. KELLY, THE PERSON WHO PERFORMED ALL THE WORK, WAS GREAT. HE IS A TRUE CRAFTSMAN. HE CLEANED UP EVERY DAY NOT JUST AT THE END OF THE JOB. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE WANTING THE PROJECT DONE PROFESSIONALLY.

SHAWN AND HIS CREW DID GREAT WORK, REMOVING OLD RETAINING WALL AND ASPHALT DRIVEWAY. THEY REPLACED AN OLD CRUMBLING WOOD RETAINING WALL WITH A NEW SHOT CONCRETE WALL WITH STEEL REINFORCING. IT WAS VERY COST EFFECTIVE WAY OF REPLACEMENT, CONSIDERING THE BIDS I RECEIVED FOR BLOCK, BRICK AND WOOD TIMBERS. THIS IS THE SAME PROCESS USED IN SWIMMING POOL CONSTRUCTION.

VERY RAPID RESPONSE TIME. I EXPRESSED THE NEED TO GET SHINGLES BACK ON BEFORE THE NEXT RAIN AND RESPONSE TIME WAS WITHIN 1 HOUR. VERY IMPRESSED WITH RESPONSIVENESS. SHAWN WAS VERY POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL. FAIR PRICE. WOULD HIRE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!

HE WAS ON TIME AND REASONABLY PRICED .THE QUALITY OF WORK WAS GREAT, THEY FINISHED ON TIME, WITHOUT ANY OVER CHARGE.
