SMITH CUSTOM TOPS

Not so good. He had difficulty showing up initially do to family problems and failed to contact us to reschedule. When he did arrive he was sick and the final product shows it. The counter tops are lumpy feeling and were not attached or filed properly. I ended up having to file some edges to avoid my children getting injured as well screwing the tops down in three locations. The hot water side of the faucet no longer has any pressure after he put the sink back together (he's no plumber). My garage was trashed from all of his dust- although Craig did make a small attempt to clean it up. To top it all off he over charged my wife by $200.00. When called on it- he acknowledged the mishap and promised hold the check, When I called him the following day- he told me he had accidentally cashed the check. He did promise to drop off the owed money- but never showed up and is unable to return our calls. As a small business owner myself- I hope Craig can do the right thing and repay the $200.00.

Mr. Smith responded to an emailed request to set up an appointment for an estimate. He apologized for not getting back to me as he had had some dental work earlier in the week and was behind (Perfectly understandable). We set up an appointment with a 3 hour window on the following Sunday afternoon (His idea, not mine). He did not show up and did not call. I left a message on his machine but have not heard back from him. That was over two weeks ago.

LEFT EVERYTHING CLEAN AND REINSTALLED KITCHEN SINK, THOUGH HE'S NOT A PLUMBER, BUT IT WAS NOT A PROBLEM IN THAT. ONE MAN SHOP SO MAY HAVE TO WAIT, BUT IT WAS WELL WORTH THE WAIT, NOT A LONG WAIT THOUGH.

CRAIG SMITH AND HIS ASSISTANT CHRISTOPHER, INSTALLED FORMICA COUNTERTOPS IN MY 14 YEAR OLD KITCHEN THAT HAD ALL NEW KITCHEN CABINETS AND NEW APPLIANCES, AND TOOK GREAT CARE NOT TO DAMAGE THESE. THEY ARRIVED PROMPTLY AT THE DESIGNATED TIME, WERE VERY COURTEOUS, AND INSTALLED 4 SECTIONS OF COUNTERTOP IN 3 HOURS TIME. THE CUT OUT WORK AROUND THE RANGE WAS VERY WELL DONE AND THEY COUNTERSUNK ONE END OF THE COUNTERTOP INTO A WOOD WALL WITH EXTREME ACCURACY. BEAUTIFULLY DONE! THEY CLEANED UP ALL WORK DEBRIS INSIDE THE KITCHEN AND OUTSIDE IN THE DRIVEWAY. CRAIG AND CHRIS ARE VERY PERSONABLE AND TAKE PRIDE IN THEIR WORK. THEY WERE RESPECTFUL OF MY WISHES AND CONCERNS. BUT, I NOTICED A PROBLEM A FEW DAYS AFTER INSTALLATION AND CALLED CRAIG TO FIX IT. AT FIRST HE SEEMED OK ABOUT THIS. THEN HE WAS NOT HAPPY TO FIX THE PROBLEM. CRAIG DID EVENTUALLY FIX THE PROBLEM--6 WEEKS LATER. CRAIG SMITH GIVES 110% TO HIS COUNTERTOP WORK.

MR. SMITH PUT IN NEW COUNTERTOPS IN MY KITCHEN. IT WAS A DIFFICULT INSTALLATION BECAUSE THE OLD COUNTER WAS SO MESSED UP. MR. SMITH TOOK HIS TIME AND NOW MY NEW COUNTER IS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. HE ARRIVED AT THE SCHEDULED TIME, WAS CLEAN AND APPROPRIATELY DRESSED, AND TREATED ME WITH RESPECT. HE LEFT THE WORK AREA VERY CLEAN AND CARRIED OFF ALL THE TRASH INVOLVED. OVERALL, WORKING WITH MR. SMITH WAS ENJOYABLE. I TALKED TO HIM ABOUT SOME SMALLER MISCELLANEOUS PROJECTS. HE GAVE ME SOME APPROXIMATE PRICES AND WILL BE DOING THE WORK FOR ME WHEN I'M READY. IT WAS SO NICE DEALING WITH SOMEONE WHO TAKES PRIDE IN THEIR WORK AND IS PROUD OF THE FINISHED PRODUCT.

CRAIG SMITH WAS A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH. HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND ON TIME. HIS WORK WAS NEAT AND CLEAN. MY NEW KITCHEN AND COUNTER TOPS LOOK GREAT!

WE HAD CALLED TO GET HIM TO COME OUT AND SMOOTH OUT ROUGH EDGES AROUND THE COUNTERTOP. HE AGREED TO COME BACK AND HAS MADE THREE APPOINTMENTS TO COME BACK AND FIX IT, BUT HASN'T SHOWN OR CALLED BACK. WE'VE HAD TO CALL HIM TO FIND OUT WHAT HAS HAPPENED. WE JUST WANT HIM TO COME BACK AND FIX THE COUNTERTOP.

HE DID A GREAT JOB. I WAS PLEASED WITH THE WORK AND I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO OTHERS. .

OTHER INSTALLERS WERE NOT INTERESTED IN MATCHING UP TO EXISTING TILE BACKSPLASH - SAID IT COULDN''T BE DONE - SMITH CUSTOM TOPS SAID NO PROBLEM - THEY DID A GREAT JOB.

HE DID A TERRIFIC JOB!
