The system I bought from them is okay but I'm not happy with the end result of their service. They give you a time schedule, they don't give you an actual hour. I think the sales rep was very good. I think the workers can use a little bit more service knowledge. I bought a whole brand new A/C and heating unit. I was having trouble with the first floor, with the first floor being even with the top floor as far a heating is concerned. In the winter, the top is like a hundred degrees and then the bottom is freezing and I mentioned this to them. When I first bought the product, I told them it's important that both top and bottom has got to be good. They gave me their word that it was going to be good but when the job got finished, one floor with a different temperature and the top floor with a different temperature.

Technician arrived 10 minutes early. Was courteous and completed the tuneup in about 40 minutes. I would recommend this company to any one.
Description of Work: Performed a roof tuneup. Inspected entire roof, took pictures, went on the roof and resealed several places including the point where the garage roof met the house. This was never sealed properly, resulting in occasional minor water spots on the garage ceiling.

We were told we needed to have the circuit board replaced to get the A/C up and running. After running for a short period of time, we called them to let them know it had stopped working. When they came back the second time (2-3 days later) they checked and said it was leaking freon but that there was no point in putting it in because they thought we had a leak and that was what was causing the problem. We asked if they could give us any money back for the circuit board since they had told us that was what was needed to fix the problem. They said they couldn't but they offered about $250 in credit towards installing a new unit. He didn't have the best price but it was getting towards the end of the summer and before we could decided who to use to replace the unit, the downstairs unit went out. Since it was starting to get cooler we knew we were going to have to do something to get that up and running since it's a priority over the second floor (which we don't use as much). So after we had installed the system on the first floor we decided we didn't have enough money to pay for a new system on the second floor and wanted to check on the cost to repair the upstairs furnace. We had a new company come in and they said we just needed a heat sensor. We were unable to get him to come back out because he was so busy, so we asked the company that installed the heat and A/C on the main floor to come back out and check on the upstairs unit. We were told that the circuit board was the incorrect circuit board to work with our system. We then contacted Service Experts again about sending someone out to check the circuit board that they installed. They told us we would have to pay a $99 fee to have them come out and that they thought the circuit board was fine and that they had no faith in what they other company said.

Terrible! This is the company that never fails to DISAPPOINT!!!! I would NEVER recommend this company! STAY AWAY FROM THEM! They installed one HVAC unit backwards - literally backwards - even the tech who came out couldn't believe it! They came back for the second unit - that one did not work and we had to call them back because a switch was not flipped on. You would think these people would check that units were working properly before they left. We were not informed that they contracted out water heater installation - suddenly another service (with another name) pulls up - cannot tell us who sent them just that they had a work order. Had to call Service Experts to get everything straightened out. When the water heater was installed, hoses to our washer were not put back in place properly causing a flood in the laundry room with the first wash after the heater was installed. Twice we have scheduled maintenance visits only to wait around all day and have no one show up - each time we were told "I see there's a ticket - it just never got put on a tech's scheduled - we can't do anything about it now". Another instance, company promised they would provide a service tech by 10 am at the latest. At 12 pm, he was "coming". At 1 pm, we couldn't even get anyone at the company to answer the phone. At 3 pm we left a message saying, "don't come we have to leave" - guess they don't check their messages b/c at 3:30 they came and left a message "you weren't here"!. When I called back, the office staff seemed stunned that we couldn't wait around all day even though work was supposed to be completed in the AM. When I finally spoke with a manager and explained we were hosting a birthday party that evening and if we didn't leave we would not be able to get the birthday cake before the store closed he agreed that was "unfortunate" and "would have been better to not have scheduled work on a day you absolutely had to leave the house"! Can you believe that?!!! These people do NOT seem to understand a home where all members work FT and literally cannot be present all day long just waiting for a repairperson who is HOURS late! My time is more valuable than that. I am on time for my clients - if I am to be more than 30 min late, my company policy demands I call, inform the customer and give them the option of rescheduling. If only these people could be that respectful and professional. This is hands down the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with - not just one person, one time - but consistently. I am SO SORRY we ever did business with them - STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. Even when I have complained, no one has offered any compensation and service continues to be poor and late - despite them disappointing us in the past.

They did not do a thorough inspection of my air conditioner. As a result, my air conditioner had a clogged water line that was backing up water into the catch try which over flowed and flooded my attic, which then caused my ceiling to cave in.

Our high efficiency A/C (purchased from another company six years ago) was not able to dehumidify without chilling the house. Service Experts as a Lennox dealer installed a Humiditrol system. Despite some difficulties with the installation due to incorrect schematics provided by Lennox they stuck with the installation through multiple visits, including bringing along the local Lennox rep. This was a challenging job, and they proved they would see the job through to our satisfaction. They also found several incorrect settings from the original installation.

What a disappointing experience. After two service calls, both very expensive, the problem still wasn't fixed and the suggestion was that we purchase a new AC unit. While the service man was courteous and appeared to know what he was doing, his efforts to fix the problem just didn't do it. As it turned out, the problem was a burned out switch which he evidently did not see, as it wasn't mentioned during the service calls. While I was not displeased with the service tech himself, I was not happy with the results or the charges that kept building up.

My house was getting colder and I was unable to get any action from the thermostat. My kind neighbor tried to see what he could do to fix it temporarily but without success. I finally called Service Experts, whom I've used several times before, about 10:00. They were willing to send someone at once, but I was fine with waiting until morning. At 7:30 this morning, the technician called to say he would be here by 8:00 - which he was. He explained what was wrong and told me what the charge would be to repair, which I thought was reasonable. He was very professional and in a short time, the heat was on and my house was getting toasty warm! I will continue to use Service Experts, as they are reliable, reasonably priced, and I don't feel that they take advantage of my lack of knowledge about what they are fixing. I highly recommend them.

Service Experts had to do some rewiring on the system that was previously done wrong. They got the unit going again in no time. I was so impressed with how knowledgable about the system worked. Their price was also very good.

Air conditioner was running but not producing cool air. I had called another service first but they couldn't come out for three days. I called Service Experts and they offered to have someone out the next morning. The technician arrived a few minutes early which was wondering as I had to leave work to meet him. He assed the situation and determined that there was a leak causing the coolant to be low. Rather than immediately recommend a full assessment and repair he suggested adding coolant and monitoring over time. By assessing over time he could better determine the size of the leak, i.e. if the coolant ran low immediate or quickly then the leak could be large. I like the idea of waiting and determining over time. The technician was professional, knowledgeable and curteous. I had a very good experience and would definitely recommend Service Experts.

The amount I was charged for the labor and the additional coolant was a very fair price. The manager of the office, Jonathan Winslow, is doing an outstanding job. Initially, I had a tech out who did not follow up in a timely fashion. So, I contacted the manager directly; Jonathan Winslow made everything 100% A-okay. In a highly satisfactory manner, Jonathan & my new tech resolved the problem with the broken part which indeed was under warranty. The tech, Dia, did the job in a very fine manner as well. Kudos to manager, Jonathan and one of his very good techs, Dia. Regarding personnel, I was impressed with Jonathon and his entire office staff who are working together to ensure that the dispatch operator, out on maternity leave, will have her job waiting for her when she gets back. Their caring attention and commitment to 100% Customer Satisfaction-- and to taking care of their employee out on maternity leave-- has me extra grateful to have used them in the first place. Service Experts - CLT touched my heart when they apologized to me for the first tech who earlier had dropped the ball and not gotten back to me. Jonathan and his crew did say they would do everything possible to make things right with me, to my complete satisfaction. Service Experts - Charlotte came through with flying colors!
Description of Work: My air conditioner was not working right, malfunctioning. Needed much coolant. The broken coil was under warranty since I bought my place brand new less than 5 years ago. Service Experts - Charlotte was willing to do either, or both, the sniffer leak test or dye leak test to have the most complete information possible on exactly where the leaks were. They obtained an under warranty, replacement, brand new coil which was available locally. A top technician changed out the coil at my convenience. Service Experts - CLT also doubled checked that the drip pan and the mounting bracket were not showing rust and did not need changing out at the same time.

I called at 4pm and had an appointment the next day. A technician diagnosed the problem with our unit and listed the options. .We spoke to Shawn, the representative, within 2 hours, and selected a 2 stage, 16 SEER heat pump after comparing to a Trane unit we had investigated prior to needing a replacement. We were never pressured, questions were addressed, and our unit was installed the next day, despite the heavy work load from extended high temperatures for the past 2 weeks. All employees were professional, cleaned up thoroughly, and we had cooling within 24 hours of first meeting.

The original "big deal" was $39 for a tune-up for one HVAC unit. When the serviceman (unfortunately I forgot his name) climbed into the attic, he asked me if I wanted him to inspect the second unit at an additional cost ($75 I think?) because the "big deal" was only for one unit. I said fine and he proceeded to do a thorough inspection. He was up in the attic for a while and I felt bad because: 1. It was quite a warm day and 2. I was afraid the extra work that he was doing would interfere with his other appointments. Everything was fine for my 10 yr old HVAC units. He then continued his tune-up to the exterior fans. He checked the batteries and recommended that they be replaced since they were pretty low. He told me the cost and I again said fine. I was just happy to have someone do all the necessary (extra) work in one day rather than leave for their next appointment and return some time in the future to pick up where they left off. The serviceman stayed for about 3 hrs and I have not had any problems with the ac or heating.
