Serpaco Painting

Very responsive to my request for an estimate. Very professional. Thorough estimate. Not at all pushy about making a decision or selling their services. Able to schedule me fairly quickly. Started when they promised they would start. The crew was there every day as promised. Crew was professional. Price charged was exactly as estimated. No surprises. Good quality work. Only negative was screened porch used screws to make replacing screen, repairing, etc., easier. When they replaced wood, they used nails instead of screws which makes future work more difficult.

We were very pleased with the performance from the whole Serpaco team. We met Chris at a booth in a home show and were pleased with the initial introduction. Chris then scheduled an appointment to meet with us at our house to provide an estimate. It was obvious from that visit that the estimate was done with care and they were serious about doing a good job for a fair price. The work was done well and it was evident that the entire crew desired to please us with their work. The cleaning and prep work was thorough. Our job involved replacement of some fascia boards and door frames that had become rotten. The carpentry work was done carefully and neatly. Painting was careful, with dropclothes and masking used to protect surfaces not intended to be painted. Chris managed the job well and always seemed to know what the work status was. He made periodic visits to inspect the work. We found the team pleasant and hardworking, eager to please? and even adjusted from their regular work pattern to accommodate a particular detail about caulking we requested. We would gladly use Serpaco again when we are in the need for painting, and will recommend them to others.

Everything about my experience with Serpaco was excellent. My initial meeting with Chris was easy and he explained the process clearly. An added bonus was meeting with Stacy from Sherwin-Williams. She was able to help me pick the perfect colors for what I was looking for and couldn?t be more pleased. The point-ups and paint came out beautifully. Chris and team even came back to address some touchups. Chris also went out of his way to help me find an electrician to have canned lights installed before they painted. There was a lot of dry wall prep, which resulted in a lot of sanding. They had everything cleaned up as well. Overall excellent all the way around and will definitely use you all again in the future!

The level of communication was outstanding - upfront, during, and after the job. Workmanship was first-rate and the painters were professional, always on time, cleaned up after each day, and exceeded our expectations. Chris Gray helped tremendously by coordinating all aspects of the job so that things ran smoothly. We would definitely use this company again and highly recommend them for anyone's painting needs.

They are excellent painters. The workers were pleasant and respectful. Mason Cossette, the manager was thorough and professional. Christopher Gray was intent on making sure we were happy with the job and that all of our concerns were addressed. This company seems to really care whether their customers are completely satisfied and they will take the time to make sure you are if you just talk to them. But, if we had it to do all over again, we wouldn't have done this job in mid-late November. We had unusually cold weather, which delayed completion. There were many days so cold they couldn't paint. And having a window open while a sill was replaced made the heat run so much I just turned it off. Also, the leaves all fell within these few weeks (we have lots of trees) and that further complicated Serpaco's ability to see where all the landscaping was. It was difficult for us to keep up with getting the leaves up & out of their way. This was all beyond Serpaco's control though.

Worked with Mason who we met at the home show showed up to give an estimate and even suggested some color schemes which we accepted. The estimate was all-inclusive and fair. A little tough getting the job scheduled because we requested a weekend to do the job which Mason gladly accepted but the rainy weather put him a week behind which was no problem for us. The crew showed up promptly both Sat. and Sun. and were extremely professional and courteous completed the job and cleaned up and were gone with no troubles. Mason followed up Sunday afternoon and gave us our warranty and was on his way. We would use Serpaco Painting again for any future painting work.

Mason, the company representative (and onsite manager) was awesome to work with. He was understanding, flexible, helpful and very knowledgeable regarding these jobs. He helped me choose modern colors and coordinating colors. The workers on his staff were courteous, easy to work with, and clean in the work areas. The whole job was a bit overwhelming to me, but everyone helped us get through it. All questions were answered and addressed.

They were extremely thorough..... Best paint job we have had in 15 years. Chris was very responsive to any needs or concerns. Cleaned up the worksite every evening before they left. Always hardworking and did a lovely job on carpentry work

Everything went extremely well. Chris was the project manager who always followed through and was always available for questions and ideas. He helped guide me on the trim color which was awesome. The crew who did all of the work did an outstanding job. I have worked with a lot of different crews and home improvement people and comparatively I just couldn't believe the attention to detail and the time they put in to make it perfect. I would highly recommend this company.

Superb firm. Great on many fronts. Customer service, employee professionalism, flexibility, respect and courtesy were all A+. They were willing to do anything that we requested, down to the last person on the crew. The supervisor was on site every day - in addition to the Crew Leader - often more than once a day. He was relentless in pursuit of highest quality work. They also turned me on to a gutter replacement company which also went well - end result was a complete home exterior effort that looks superb. One of the lasting impressions I have relates to the wood that had rotted. The Serpaco team showed up en masse and crawled over the whole house - providing a specific and accurate estimate of the needed repairs (number of repairs; size and alternative solutions). Made for a credible and accurate plan - so we didn't see too much 'scope creep' because of a vague estimate. I would highly recommend this team to any exterior painting project.

Our house was built in Plaza Midwood around 1940 when lead based paint was used. We did a remodel less than 5 years ago, and paint that was used continued to peal off, so much so that it had to be reapplied 3 times in less than 5 years after the renovation. We finally decided to contact Serpaco. From the beginning, Mr. Gray explained why the lead and the new paint were not compatible and walked through the entire project top to bottom during the estimate. From the first meeting, you knew he knew he was knowledgeable about his business. Further inquiries with previous users of Serpaco also reassured us that we were on the right track. After deciding to go forward, we were given a very detailed estimate on the first walk-through. This was also broken down into steps/stages in case we wanted to do a portion now and a portion later. The original estimate was very detailed and the written estimate even more so. Every meeting that was scheduled was on time or Mr. Gray contacted me to let me know he would be just a few minutes late. There was obvious customer consideration from the get-go, especially for your time. Scheduled times were always arranged around what was convenient for us, the homeowners. A date was set to begin and we were off The Serpaco workers were punctual every day. If there were anticipated weather delays, we were informed weekly. Clean-up was done every single day. The paint color was matched perfectly. During the process, several rotten pieces of wood were identified and replaced (all with a thorough walk-through and prior approval), at a reasonable cost. It was recommend that a 5-inch gutter be replaced with a 6-inch gutter. This was sub-contracted to another company, which also did excellent and reliable work. I cannot say how pleased we are with the finished product. The house looks amazing. The quality of the job is outstanding. We have a 5-year warranty. For anyone doing work on an older home that needs repainting, I cannot recommend this company enough ? even if you are using a builder, demand that the painting be done by Serpaco! If you decide to do a partial job, count on adding a little more to your budget, as you will definitely notice differences in quality between what you have and what is done by Serpaco, and will want a consistent, shiny appearance to your home. For exterior painting, USE THIS COMPANY!

I contacted Chris Gray, VP of Serpaco Painting out of Charlotte (chris.gray@serpacopainting.com / 888-879-7377) , based upon reviews found in Angie's List and the BBB. He responded quickly and came to my home from Charlotte. He provided a comprehensive and detailed estimate, supported by good knowledge of the scope of work to be done. He made good suggestions for ways to attack problems I had not thought of. Although the job was extensive and expensive, I sincerely believe I received good value for the work provided. The primary painters were two brothers, Caesar and Hugo, who were very accommodating and willing to meet my needs and answer my questions. Their work was meticulous. Both on the inside my home and on the outside, they were exceptionally neat and clean. Drapes were used extensively to protect interior furnishings and the brick / stone on the outside of my home. There were no spills, splatters, dust, or dirt that I have noticed. The carpenter, Alex, and his helper, had great solutions for the carpentry problems that were noted. They provided great repair work that I believe will have excellent longevity. The gutter work is being provided by a contractor recommended by Serpaco, an individual whom they have worked with previously - John Hall Guttering out of Stokesdale. This work will be completed on Thursday of this week. I have met with Mr. Hall and am positively impressed by his recommendations to me. I do not anticipate any problems. In summary, the extensive scope of work accomplished was completed on time, with little to no mess, and to a standard I am very pleased with. The work was completed on budget to the figures Chris and I had discussed during the estimating phase. Compared to projects like this that I have contracted previously, every phase of this project went superbly. Serpaco Painting Inc. receives my highest possible recommendation. They will do an excellent job for you, are honest. They will not let you down!

The craftsmen arrived at the agreed upon time and worked tirelessly to accomplish an excellent result. There are absolutely no complaints or reservations. Very professional group. Went beyond the agreed upon task at hand. They cleaned up after themselves (very important to me though never discussed with the group) They were great!

I contacted numerous painting contractors for bids on this extensive project. From the first time I met with Mason to discuss the scope of the project, I felt that his "hands on" approach as well as his belief in the finished product his crew would provide best met those needs. Although they had scheduled to finish the job in one week, the crew was here almost 2 weeks in order to get everything right. The interior foyer project proved to be quite difficult. The crew worked tirelessly with attention to every detail to make the walls perfect after the wall paper removal. Jose, the painting crew chief, reworked the walls many times to make sure that all of the tiniest imperfections were corrected. The end result is amazingly beautiful! Mason and his team even helped clean the chandelier which had gotten quite dirty following the extensive wall renovation! The exterior trim needed a lot of work as it had not been painted in a number of years. Jose and his crew checked each area of the house and made sure that the trim was perfect. In some cases, they applied a second coat in order for the surfaces to be pristine. I am so very pleased with the end result! Through it all, Mason was at my home on a daily basis and kept me up to date with the progress. I much appreciated the fact that he gave the estimate, but also supervised the painting crew- so he knew what I wanted from the very beginning. I did not have to re-explain myself to another individual. He was positive, professional and handled each concern immediately. I trusted that he would handle the situation correctly! I will definitely use Serpaco Painting again.

My home was extensively remodelled in 2011. The work was great but the exterior painting was NOT. I had peeling paint on the new part of the home as well as the older existing portion. My house was built in 1939 so we had to deal with lead paint on the older parts of the structure. Chris met with me, did a detailed review of the property to determine exactly what was needed. He gave me a ballpart of what the cost could be - just to prepare me I think. After the meeting, reading more reviews I was pretty sold on the company. The quote was in line with what I was hoping. Chris took the time to walk through it with me to make sure I was comfortable with everything. The project began as planned. There were a few issues that popped up during the process. Chris again made sure I understood any changes in diretion and possible cost implications. He also pulled in the paint company representative to get their recommendations. The crew that did the project was great. They were punctual and professional. They left my home in good condition every day. My house looks fantastic. Neighbors had commented that they didn't understand why I was repainting - guess they didn't focus on the sections of the house with the chipping paint... Now they comment on how much better it look. Most think I used a different color - it's the same. Serpaco used a superior primer and paint which resulted in a richer color. The cost of the project was not inexpensive. I don't regret spending a penny of it. I would definitely use this company in the future and have already recommended them to several neighbors.

I had just purchased a townhouse that was definitely in need of a lot of TLC. Scheduled an appointment at the townhouse and Chris showed up on time to do a walk through as to my painting expectations and he listened to what I wanted and added some awesome suggestions. I thought I wanted the entire townhouse painted one color; oh, no I was wrong. Chris made suggestions and we were off and running. One challenge was that the great room had a type of "home-made chair railing made into squares and glued around the entire room." Chris assured me it could be removed, painted and I would never know it had been so ugly. He listed to my needs, colors I liked and furniture that I would be using; helped me pick out paint colors that would blend from room to room. Chris even gave me suggestions as to new lighting for bathroom and hallway. His crew started in on our selected date; what a hard-working crew. In three days they were finished and to my surprise, Chris said after I moved in and furniture was in place, his guys would come back and touch-up walls as needed. Throughout the painting project the crew worked hard and Chris came back to check on the progress. They came back on the final day and I felt like old friends were moving on. OMG my place is lovely and the colors all blend so nicely with my furniture, the new carpets and flooring that now makes this townhouse my home. THANKS SO MUCH CHRIS AND CREW.

Before beginning the process of exterior painting, I contacted several contractors that specialize in whole house painting. The sales person that I worked with throughout the job was Chris Gray. Although Serpaco was not the cheapest quote received, I was impressed with the process they were going to use (hand painting instead of spraying). I did have to purchase the paint and did know that up front. Fortunately I was able to time the paint job at a time when Sherwin Williams offered their super sale of 40% off all paint. I am pleased with the end result and as I mentioned to Chris when we did the final walk around, I think the house looks better now than it did when I moved in when the house was new. The attention to detail is important and Serpaco did a great job. At least I know the quality of paint since I purchased it in person. I used the Duration Exterior. Couldn't be more pleased.

Excellent work! Attention to detail, very professional. The crew covered everything (floors, ceiling fixtures, cabinets) before starting to paint. They didn't paint around light switch plates but removed them all and placed them back when they were done), which made it a lot more clean. Same goes for every bathroom fixture. After they were done they cleaned very thoroughly after themselves. Our 12 year old house looks better than a lot of new constructions when it comes to paint job. I would highly recommend them!

Chris and his team where very professional. Chris was there from beginning to the end to check on the work. There where no surprises regarding price everything was given in writing , also email updates sent all time regarding the work and any extra cost . Overall very satisfied with the work done. We will definitely hire them in future.

I was extremely impressed by Chris and his team from Serpaco. From the initial estimate to the end of the job I could not have been happier with the work. Chris was extremely punctual for our estimate discussion and was very thorough. He responded promptly with an estimate and we were able to schedule the work quickly. When he and his team arrived to perform the work they were extremely thorough in covering the floors and protecting the walls and fixtures. Due to poor work from a prior contractor they had to come back the next afternoon (which was a Saturday) to finish. Rather than rush to finish the job ? they worked late on Friday night and again on Saturday. They worked around my schedule to accommodate me which was very much appreciated. The paint looks fantastic and they were able to remedy many of the issues left by the prior contractor. Chris and his team even suggested painting a few additional items ? details that seem small but made a huge difference. The team cleaned up very thoroughly and left the house spotless. When I mentioned that I was having difficulty scheduling a pressure washing crew for the exterior of my house, Chris was able to refer a team that could help. They did a FANTASTIC job and even changed some exterior lights that I was not able to reach. Both the pressure washing and the lights were above and beyond what I could have asked for ? and very much appreciated. I have dealt with several contractor over the past 6 months and Chris and his team were by far the best. They exceeded my expectations not only with the quality of their work but also with their attention to detail and their willingness to assist with other items which I?m sure are not a typical part of a painting job. It is clear to see that they take pride in the quality work they do ? as they should. I highly recommend Serpaco and look forward to using them again. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with this company. THANK YOU!

Fantastic! Mike Abernathy gave us a thorough and detailed estimate the same day that he came to discuss what we needed done. He called exactly when he said he would call and his crew showed up exactly when he said they would. They were quiet and efficient. All the work was done within 2 days with minimal disruption, looks great and has a 10-year warranty. Mike came by several times to make sure all was going well and keep us informed. At the end, he did an inspection and walk-through with us to make sure we were happy. Plus, when we asked him at the very last minute if his crew could change a flood light and a weather strip for us, they pulled a ladder back off their truck and changed the bulb on the spot and Mike picked up a weather strip that night and brought it by the next morning and changed it himself. Those little things are huge to me - they really did not have to do those things, but they went the extra mile with a smile and ended up with very happy customers. And no surprises in the invoice! Very nice and professional. I would definitely call on them again.

Mason was punctual and professional. He gave us a clear estimate and explained why each item cost that amount. He was also prompt in calling to check in and set up a time to do the work. My husband and I got estimates from a few other companies and went with the company that was in our price range. However, we were very pleased with Serpaco Painting, Inc. and do not doubt that had they done the work it would have been done well.

Mason's crew, led by Jose were excellent. They did a fabulous job. We can't believe how much better our walls look in every room they worked in. The walls are smoother, nail pops don't show. The crew came when they said they would, worked hard all day, cleaned up well at the end of the day and came back every day on time until the job was complete. The crew was neat and polite and worked hard and did an excellent job. The job ended up costing a little more than the initial quote because I asked Mason to do a little more work than we had initially talked about. He and his crew were happy to do those extras things without complaint. Our home looks so much better and the value of our home has certainly been improved by the work Mason and Serpaco has done.
