I contacted Rowles Land Surveying with a request to confirm the property boundary behind our house. I was trying to determine if a downed tree belonged to us or to the neighbor. Matt responded to my message very promptly and we scheduled the appointment for two days later. He showed up on time, completed the work, and charged us a reasonable fee. Matt was friendly and professional, and the work was exactly what we needed.

We have 2 issues and needed to know property lines. I contacted them directly through Angie's list and got a call 15 minutes later. He said he likes to give Angie list members priority. We now know where a fence can be placed and who 20 overgrown Leland Cyprus trees belong to in order to ultimately take take.

Matt was responsive, worked with me to accommodate my scheduling needs, and provided excellent detailed survey maps. Great to work with.

The property was very wooded and hilly and missing a corner marker. Will completed the work on budget and was a pleasure to deal with. He responded to my query through Angies List promptly, gave me an estimate and a revised estimate, and showed up on time for the job. Highly recommend this young man.

Matt was flexible in arranging my survey appointment though I had to reschedule twice due to changes in my personal work schedule. In our initial phone call he asked questions regarding my preferences for the work and I provided him a prior plot survey for his reference. Matt showed up promptly at the arranged time and began work before I arrived on site. A special request I made was to place metal stakes every 50 feet along the sides of my property lines. He did this and agreed it was a useful way of quickly identifying the borders when planting trees or placing a fence. Heavy rain started before he could finish placing the stakes on one side of my property. Even though the survey itself was complete Matt returned a few days later to place the stakes at no extra charge. He is a very pleasant young man, prompt, organized and knowledgeable about his trade. He cleaned up the work site before leaving and was conscientious in performing the work in a way that was satisfactory to me. I highly recommend his services to all.

Mr. Rowles came out on a Saturday to complete a request for my property to be surveyed. He clearly a marked all four corners of the property line as well as in between to show all lines on the property. I suspected my neighbors were encroaching on the property with their fence. Mr. Rowles was approached by the neighbors inquiry of what he was doing. He responded professionally to their no so nice attitude and completed the job as requested. Afterwards we spoke via telephone on exactly what he discovered from the survey. He also sent a notarized copy of the survey. He did and excellent job and I will recommend him anyone who needs this type of service.

I used the email link to inquire about the general cost for the two corners I wanted marked. Matthew was responsive with the email for general pricing and again when I scheduled the appointemnt. I was able to get an after work appointment within a few days. He showed up on time, and after discussing rates, I decided to get all four corners marked, as there is a $150 minimum charge for the visit anyway. He got right to work, had to dig a bit to locate two of the markers, and attached pink plastic tape to each of the markers that were on the yard. The whole thing took just over 30 minutes. When done, he walked me around and showed me exactly where the existing iron pins were that he'd located and marked. The whole thing was quick and efficient. There was no paperwork or record on a deed or anything, no map created - this was not for surveying: this was just helping me mark my property boundary. The plastic will not last too long so I will need to get the photographs done before reburying them. For a similar task, I would have no reservation recommending him to others.

Mr. Rowles surveyed my property last year and did an excellent job (review posted on Angie's List) and so I asked him to "post it" this year to prevent hunters and trespassers from using the property without my permission. He marked the property with metal signs and purple paint (legal in NC in lieu of additional signs) every 20 to 50 feet. Once again he did an excellent job - I walked with him the entire way. It took approximately 4-5 hours to post the property and his work ethics continue to exceed all my expectations (resurveying the property to make sure the area was well-posted). He is a pleasure to work with. FYI - I offered to purchase the signs and purple paint, which I did (he showed me where to purchase the signs, nails, and paint).

Mr Rowles showed up promptly at 9:00am worked for several hours in the below freezing temperature and walked me around the property to show me the work he had completed afterwards. Matt was professional, and was very responsive from the time of our initial inquiry to when we received our survey. He was willing to answer all our questions, which was of utmost importance to us. He also worked in the sweltering heat, and was very thorough.

I can't begin to tell you how pleased I was with the professionalism that this young man puts into his work. He called me back promptly, was able to fit me into a reasonable time frame, called me when he had a cancellation, showed up on time, and did a fantastic job. Boundaries were clearly marked and will be easy for the fencers to follow. Property was 1 1/2 acres through a pasture and through woods. I would recommend him to others in a heartbeat. I had called 2 other surveyors (including the one who did the subdvision originally and no one even called me back in a 3 week period of time.) There still are people who take pride in their work with Rowles Land Surveying!!

Matt was the most professional and reasonably priced person I contacted to complete our land survey. We are in need of a fence and did not get our property lines staked at purchase. He set up the appointment right away, he was on time, and completed the work in a timely manner. I would definitely refer him to anyone needing a survey done.

I contacted or attempted to contact at least two other highly rated surveyors. One responded once and then never again to my request to schedule a survey. The other was booked up for quite a while. Matthew was available, cheaper, more professional, and just better. I would use him again and would highly recommend him to anyone in need of surveying.

Superior service and price! Matthew was very easy to contact, understood what we needed, was professional and friendly. The price of the survey was more than reasonable...we had some other quotes that were more than double! The survey was done in 2 days. If you need any surveying done this IS the guy to call!

Matt was right on time. He was very professional and through. Hot only found my corner markers put also put markers throughout so I would know where to place my fence. I would/will use him again.

Mr. Rowles was a pleasure to work with. He came out on four separate dates to access and accurately mark out my property's boundaries. He was meticulous in identifying the original markers (stakes) that were placed when my home was built in 1920. His professionalism helped to minimize any border disputes with my neighbors and impressed one of my neighbors to ask him for services in the future.

I found him on Angie’s list. He was great. He was prompt. He was right on time. He did a great job. He drew the property lines and everything. He is very thorough. He already looked up our plot before he came to do the survey so he was prepared when he got here to do the job. They are prompt to return the call and prompt to show up.

Matt had good reviews on the list so we called him after calling a couple who were closer.We orginally spoke to someone who said they would get back to us and they never did. so the next day we called Matt. He picked the phone up himself and was very courteous, and knowledgeable. Funny thing...while we were on the phone with Matt the other person called back.Too late! We wanted to get going with this project and we were impressed that Matt was right on the ball! We made an appointment for Matt to come to the house two days later. He showed up on time, was extremely thorough and took his time making sure that the boundries were correct. He explained everything as he went along. We were very impressed with Matt and his pricing was more than fair. Wish he could just build the fence for us too!

All the work was done with true professionalism. He provided very clear communication and worked hard to fit my schedule. I have high expectations and his work exceeded all of them. For anyone needed survey work in the area, I would highly recommend Matthew. Also, after this very positive experience, I would absolutely recommend to anyone building on their property to invest in some good survey work. I feel far more confident in the project. Additionally, the building inspector passed the foundation inspection so the location was correct.
