Roof Roof

Communications and scheduling were awful. Took forever and 7 calls to actually get them to send the quote. When I call they say Jorge will call back, he doesn't. Call him, and his voicemailbox is always full. Three times the roofers were scheduled to come and they never showed up, never called. Really regret using them. When the roofer finally showed up, he was a sub contractor that didn't really know what he was supposed to do. Felt bad for him, he had to bring his little boy who just wandered around my back yard while he worked on my roof. The actual work seems fine, it's the whole process of working with them that is awful. Can't figure out who they actually are, Findlay Roofing, Roof Roof, Mighty Dog Roofing? That was probably my first warning flag.

Although their salesperson, Jorge, worked to resolve many of my issues, one very large and expensive one was not resolved. The installers nailed into my Gutter Helmet and ruined it. Because it was in the contract that any gutter cover should be removed prior to roof installation, the company would not pay to have it replaced. I acknowledge that I should have read the contract closely and had the gutter cover removed. However, I believe that any reputable company should have seen the cover and informed me of my responsibility. Did they think that I was giving them tacit permission to destroy Gutter Helmet? I can even see a nail that went completely through my gutter. Also, the installers did a terrible job with the flashing that goes from the roof to the brick. The caulking looked like a child had done it. I had to stand outside and supervise as they tried to fix it. The installers killed 4 bushes and damaged 7 others. An installer replaced the 4 dead bushes at his own expense; I am hopeful that the other bushes will survive after extensive pruning. I am still finding screws, nails, plastic pieces and pieces of old shingles in my yard. It's very apparent that they did not use a magnet to clean up or even go carefully over the yard visually. I hope that the actual roof was done properly. I am an older widow and cannot go up on the roof to inspect. I put my trust in RoofRoof and they failed miserably. I would never use this company again and I would not recommend them.

Wanted roof roof to install gutters on my entire house. Initial communication was good, however when it came time to sign the contract they fell off the face of the earth. I called several times and was promised that it would be emailed - It never was. I am not going to chase a contractor to give them several thousand dollars. Save yourself the headache and find someone else. Yes they have the correct email address as I received a quote and other communication successfully. UPDATE: After almost two months I have to give kudos to the sales rep for following up and trying to make it right. However, attempts fell short and while the gutters look nice, functionally half do not work. Many have lots of standing water in them. About 3/4" to 2 inches...I'll look to a skilled handyman to fix them come springtime.

Everyone on the team were courteous, efficient and professional. Had several estimates by other companies and Roof Roof proved to be the right one for our needs.

The estimators that came out reviewed the roof and found a couple spots where they said the shingles needed replacing and where the two had blown off in the wind. Both of the men who came out were afraid of heights. One was afraid to climb the ladder, the other climbed the ladder and was afraid to come back down. He jumped from the upper roof to our sunroom roof. I was truly shocked. I do not believe that is a safe practice at all. As he hit the sunroom roof his momentum almost carried him off that roof. When I questioned him about it, he said he could see where the support was for the roof and he jumped on that. He could have been severely injured and he could have severely damaged the sunroom roof. The actual installers who came out were up and down within 20 minutes and showed me pictures of what they did. The were late, but the job was finished as promised by the date they said it would be. There is a standard fee to just get them to come out to replace the shingles ($595 - I had a coupon to get it to $495). One hundred dollars a shingle. I need to change my career.

When making the appointments I was always clear that I wanted the out of place shingle addressed and confirmed I would not need to be home for the visit. Scheduling got rained off 3 times (nothing they could do about that), but I had to follow up with them to reschedule. The last time I called to reschedule, I was told that the service had been completed and the result was “no shingles were out of place & they could not get access to the rear of the property, as it was fenced.” That's it! I eventually talked with the technician responsible for the visit who informed me: 1. He did not actually visit but sent someone else 2. They will not open a gate as they are concerned about dogs and liabilities (really…. & the gate was open that day)! 3. He was unaware this was an angieslist tune up and when he realized that, he stated the roof was too steep to qualify and that's why they did not go on the roof The difficulties scheduling, level of communication and the technician’s story did not make me feel comfortable continuing to work with them and we agreed they would refund the “deal”. The management team was then very responsive and professional and the deal was refunded immediately. I am now getting another angieslist contractor to look and quote for the repair. I did not believe the claim that my roof is too steep to qualify for the deal. It does not look anything special, it is the same as all the others in our neighborhood and contractors have walked on mine and neighbors before. BUT from accurate measurement in the attic, I confirmed it is an 8-12 roof which does not qualify for any roof deals on angieslist. Before purchasing any roof tune up deal, I would recommend members go into their attic and measure the rise for a horizontal run to confirm their roof is within deal specifications (6 inches rise for 12 inches of horizontal travel).

We knew when we called that we needed one shingle replaced. When the company rep came, he inspected the roof and said he did appropriate caulking/sealing, etc., but that it would cost $550 (their minimum), less $100 credit as part of the Deal, to repair/replace the one shingle. There was no mention of a minimum repair fee in the fine print of this deal. I called Angie's List and they called Roof Roof. The owner, Jon Sabo, returned my call and said the high cost was because of the pitch of my roof. How many customers know their roof pitch?? He said he was going to contact Angie's List and ask that our payment be refunded.

Overall I had an awesome experience with Roof Roof. The salesman that visited was very knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and detailed. He took the time necessary to answer all my questions. The job was completed in 2 days as committed. They cleaned up well after themselves. I love my new roof. I would definitely recommend!!

Sam the sales consultant was very professional and knowledgeable. Gave me all facts and options available. Roof Roof was very flexible to work around my busy schedule. They gave me the lowest of 3 bids. Then I was able to utilize a $500 coupon from Angie's list. Installation team arrived 15 minutes early. They were very efficient and professional. Completed the entire job in 1.5 days. The crew was very conscience of my landscaping and did a great clean up. Sam came back after the job was complete to walk with me and inspect. Had a team member come back for some small details finishing touches that I would not have noticed. The only thing I would recommend is if you have DirecTV or Dish, make preparations for a technician to remount your dish after roof is complete. I would highly recommend Roof Roof!!

Great! Initially, we they a snag with their voicemail system so they didn't get my email until a couple of weeks after I first called. By then I had talked with other roofers and had other bids and solutions. I was about to sign with another roofer but was having trouble getting them to give a contract that reflected the scope of the work. I got a very apologetic return call on Tuesday evening. Matt and a trainee showed up at 9:00 the next morning. He gave me a great solution to solve the leak. He beat the price of his competitors by $100. I signed the contract Wednesday afternoon. The shingles were delivered Friday morning and the roof was replaced by Saturday afternoon. I highly recommend Roof Roof.

Andy/Sam/Mat were very professional and did an excellent job in replacing the Front Porch roof. They were prompt and helped me understand the work very clearly. Their pricing were very reasonable compare to other roofers.

The owner, Sam, contacted me promptly after requesting service via their website. Shortly after, Zac, came out to give me an estimate on my severely low pitch roof. Zac gave me a couple of options and I ended up signing up for a "gray rubber roof". There was some misunderstanding about the product that was installed but after some back-and-forth via email/texts, Sam reached out to me and discussed options. He was very understanding and accommodating to the misunderstanding. The actual roof installed, although not exactly what I was expecting, seems to be a great quality and I'm not worried about leaks anymore.

Marvelous! They were very professional and did a wonderful job. This was the second time we used them and have been extremely pleased both times.

It turns out that we are outside of the area of service for Roof Roof, but the owner, Sam, contacted me himself to let me know. He also suggested that I email him photos of the problem area and he would give me a rough quote so that I would know what kind of ballpark I should expect from other contractors. He gave me some advice for fixing the problem and also a quote to use as a baseline for other quote. His office also followed up with me to make sure someone had contacted me. Great response and customer service.

They performed the work as expected

The tarpaulin installation provided by this company's subcontractor was done quickly and at a very reasonable rate. Ray, salesman and company rep who advised me, was punctual, good-humored, and very well informed on the issues I'd be likely to face in completing a full roof repair. Though I'd worked with one company already on a quick fix and thought I knew a thing or two about what was broken, Ray was able to expand on that other company's assessment of the problem and proposed a thorough repair with quality materials and solid warranties. This is an excellent company with competent, affable people. Highly recommended!

Overall, my experience was decent. I needed someone to just get me by with my roof and it accomplished that. The key that I learned was you need to have all the equipment/materials purchased in advance and really know what you need done. Otherwise, it's somewhat a paid estimate. The gentleman I dealt with was great though - he came out once, gave me an idea of what I needed and then came back later that week. That may or may not happen often, but don't count on it and be prepared yourself. I don't think the work took 2 hours to do everything, but it did give me piece of mind knowing someone inspected all the nail pops and vulnerable areas. I would do business with these guys again. They were prompt and reliable and I got what I needed, I'm just not in love with these types of deals since they aren't always clear.

Service was excellent! My roof was inspected and repaired. Provider offered to come back in a few weeks, if needed, to fix any shingles that might not have glued down properly. He explained that the warmth of the sun would help adhere the glue he used. No return trip was needed. Job was done perfectly the first time! Highly recommend the company (Roof Roof....and you have to love the name!!)

We bought a 'DEAL' - $59.00 to perform the following: Here's the Deal: Detailed exterior assessment Up to two labor-hours Inspector finalizes all inspections of your home Perform minor roof repairs to prevent future water intrusion Seal exposed nails and calk accessories throughout roofing system Seal penetrations i.e. unsealed pipe collars, exhaust fans/vents, and chimney flashing Re-securing of loose shingles, gutters and downspouts Re-fastening loose fascia trim, re-securing of siding and shutters Written quote by an inspector, for insurance purposes if needed Any other areas that are in need of maintenance will be brought to the homeowner's attention, and a professional plan of action will be presented The roofer/salesman was excellent. Very professional, knowledgeable, respectful, and courteous. He did a thorough inspection of the roof, fixed a few minor caulking needs, and a few 'issues' with recommendations. No pressure which I so appreciated. He was here approximately 1 hour.

It was okay. It took them several weeks to get here and we could not do the project because my pitch was apparently a little more than they agreed to do. They should have a better clean up. We basically had to trace them down to get it done but they ultimately did something. I paid more than the big deal of $59.

I feel like ultimately they did not do what they said they were going to do. After they had been out there two times and did not show up three times I just said sc*ew it and moved on -- it was only, like, $50. There was no maintenance done, they came out and pretty much looked at some stuff. Basically they said the job was too big and I asked them to at least do some of it at least for two hours to get something for my money. They said they would do an inspection of the roof and fix anything. They did an inspection of the roof that took, maybe 30 minutes and that was about it. They took pictures of stuff but I felt like it was probably something that I could have called and had them come out and give me a quote. They probably would have done it for free, honestly. I think it was more because I had a siding issue that was not addressed. They did nothing and did not try to fix about 40 planks that were not good. They gave me a quote to fix everything. When you read the deal and it says it includes siding maintenance you would think they would do something. At least that is the way I read it. Their quote was reasonable to do all the work, although I did not go with the quote they gave me. They did not make me feel like I was a priority and was told by a manager or somebody that they did not make any money on this and that it was done with the hope that people would need other services. Which is a shame because the company has good ratings, so I was really surprised. They did not do anything. A couple of the guys who came out were nice. Literally the guy would say he would be here at one o'clock and then at two o' clock I would call the office and would hear he was stuck in traffic and then at three o' clock I would hear he was stuck in a meeting. At 5:15 they called and said he was stuck in traffic and would be there in 20 minutes and then I said I could not do it.

Called ahead said when he would arrive and he was even ahead of that schedule which was great. He spent a couple hours going over the complete roof then covered the details of what he did and if we needed any further work which we did not.
