The whole experience was great. My wife and I had a very ambitious design idea and Bob and his crew came through and made our dream a reality. From the first moment that Bob came to our home, I had a very good feeling about him. I noticed that out of three contractors that bid this job, Bob actually went under the house and checked the support piers. This was very important since my wife and I wanted a curbless shower and we needed to drop the floor two inches. He went under the house and made sure that this was possible to ensure that halfway through the project I wouldn't have to change the design. He was open to my wife and I ordering specialty items for installation in our new bathroom. His crew covered everything during demolition and always cleaned up before they left. They worked very hard to lessen the impact of the remodel on our day to day life. During the day, my wife and I work away from the home. I felt very comfortable leaving a key for Bob and his crew to come into my home while we were away. The best thing I can say about R J Ward construction is that I would immediately recommend them to my friend and family. When we get ready to remodel our kitchen, Bob will be the first person I call.

For a while my wife and I wanted to close the cathedral ceiling in our living room and create an extra room on the second floor. We talked to several contractors before we picked RJ Ward Construction. From the day Bob Ward came to give us an estimate you could tell that he was the right person for the job. He knew what he was talking about and he answered all of our questions in detail. He was very knowledgeable about the construction code and about what and how it needed to be done. His crew did an amazing job. Everything they worked on surpassed our expectations. The new room looks incredible. We even threw a few side projects at him last minute as his crew was starting the project. They ended up tiling our bathrooms and installing gable fans in our attic all the while the construction of the room was going on. "Amazing" is how I can summarize our experience in one word. My wife and I have been talking about RJ Ward Constructions to all our friends who are considering remodeling projects. Picking Bob Ward for the project was the best decision we made. We'll be using RJ Ward Constructions for future remodeling projects for sure.

I contacted Bob Ward by email and spoke with him by phone upon his follow up. I discussed with him our plans for remodeling our master bath and closet, including additional sheetrock work in the master bedroom. During our discussion, I was very transparent and disclosed exactly what I needed, letting him know that we were going to perform the demolition, floor tile, and paint work ourselves. In addition, I informed him that we would probably be using our own plumber and electrician. Bob agreed to come out and look at the job. He arrived on time and was very personable. We looked at the upcoming project and I gave him our computer (CAD) drawing of what we envisioned for the project. Bob and I agreed to what he was to quote to us and I told him that this project would kick off in June, so no need to rush. He stated he would be in touch with us soon with his proposal.It has been approximately a month since Bob has been to the house and we haven't heard from him. I sent him an email to his business email address asking if he intended to submit a bid. In addition, I informed him that if he thought our project did not fit his criteria for a dollar amount, just let us know and we would remove his name from our bidders list. We never received a response. I feel that he wasted my time and his own. At this point, we won't use RJ Ward and would not recommend him to our friends.

I plan to use this company and they will start after another project is completed. I think they are responsive; I decided to use this contractor because he was the only person who went under my house to look at work that needed to be done. I had quotes from other other contractors but they were not as comprehensive as this company. He is very responsive and answers my phone calls and emails promptly. He emailed a full line item quote to me promptly and I will use him again in the future.

I have an older home and he always goes out of his way to make the new construction consistent with the old. This is the 3rd time I have used them and I have always been exceptionally pleased. The quality of their work is superior and the prices very reasonable, espcially given the quality. Use him, he's the best. Very professional and a pleasure to do business with.

SPECTACULAR!!! From the beginning Bob, the owner, returned all my calls for estimates and scheduled within 24 hours. He was the only one of all the estimates we received who came with a reasonable price and had a full crew (not one man operations). Once we started they work, Bob's team always arrived on time, worked full days, paid extensive attention to details and always cleaned up after themselves. Bob came onsite every day to monitor progress and discuss how the remodel was going. When we ran into issues, Bob and team spent time with us to review our options and discuss work arounds. There were no surprises in the final billing and his team was alway respectful of our time. Some examples of their attention to detail: Steven and Darren (2 lead crew members) were always at our house while any workers were there (plumbers, electricians, etc). Steven spent an extra day laying the tile in our shower to do a specific design we had in mind. When one of the tile we had picked didn't work for the layout we wanted, they had no problem waiting for a different set of tile to arrive and found ways to work around the delay. At the end of every day, Steven and Darren would always clean up after themselves including hand wiping my pergo floors or vaccuming the carpet in our bedroom! Needless to say, I will be hiring RJ Ward again for all my future projects. I'm also nominating them for an Angie's List award. Go no further in your search for a contractor/remodeler - RJ Ward will take care of you!

The whole experience more than exceeded my expectations. I had read the previous glowing reviews of Bob and his team but with any large project it?s hard to know what to expect. Bob calmly met every challenge and took the mystery out of the process by keeping me informed of every step, letting me know when people were scheduled to be here, consulting with me about decisions (whether big or small), and by keeping the project moving. I never had a problem reaching him if I had questions?he is extremely responsive (either by phone or email) and kept up with the detail in spite of juggling multiple projects. Most people I talked to told me that I should never expect a renovation to be on time and at budget?that didn?t apply here. Bob met both of these expectations as my beautiful new kitchen was completed in a timely manner and on budget. Most importantly, there were no surprises beyond those lurking in a dated 1950?s kitchen. I was very impressed with the work ethic of Bob and his team-- they all truly care about the quality of their work. When some of the kitchen tiles didn?t set up properly due to my uneven floor, they immediately fixed the problem and redid them. Bob suggested putting in additional supports in the basement for the kitchen floor so that it would be more level and so that it could support the island and granite countertops. I really appreciated Bob's attention to detail and understanding of older houses and the challenges they can present! Bob's team was easy to work with as all were friendly, professional and courteous. Everyone I came into contact with was knowledgeable and able to provide guidance around decisions when needed. They arrived promptly each day and worked hard throughout the day, while at the same time minimizing disruption to the household (they were quiet, and cleaned up before leaving for the day). Bob holds himself personally accountable for every detail--he always took ownership of issues so that I never had to worry about something getting done. When there were bumps in the road, Bob and his team met them calmly and professionally. When a leak resurfaced in my kitchen ceiling (a water leak that existed months earlier had mysteriously disappeared) Bob came to my house first thing in the morning, found the leak and repaired it. He also repaired my roof at no extra cost. I highly recommend RJ Ward and have already talked to Bob about another project!

The overall quote experience with him was a “B”. I would use his services again in the future.

Bob worked with us to set up a mutually agreeable date to start, and as in our past experiences with his crew, they were right on time. What was great about this experience was that his crew dealt with one room at a time, not tearing out both rooms and making life inconvenient for us. Built in vanity and old tile was removed from the half bath, and new travertine tile was installed including beautiful trim detail. A new style vanity was installed (more of the "furniture look") as well as new plumbing and lighting fixtures and fresh paint. The full bath was gutted and revitalized with a large shower with beautiful tile work, stylish shower door and fixtures replacing an old fiberglass tub. An updated console vanity replaced a very dated built in version. Wallpaper was replaced with tile halfway up and fresh paint to make a beautiful, more spacious feeling room. Some plumbing had to be relocated to accomodate the changes, which was no problem for Bob's team. The crew is pleasant to work with and receptive to ideas as the work evolved. The flexibility on both our part and Bob's team's part enabled us to end up with a beautiful result that is uniquely ours and suits our style very well. We are so happy with our new bathrooms, we have already lined up our next project and are working with Bob on scheduling!

I was referred to RJ Ward from a friend who was very impressed with how he gets things done with out any stress. Bob was very professional from the first time we met. He delivered his quote in one day and promised that the work would be done on time! It was very important that he complete the work since I had only three weeks to have it done before we opened up for business. He walked through the space with me and we discussed the plans and process only once and everything that was discussed was completed taking out the burden of me following up. His workers are very nice and all carry a dedicated skill and talent for each job they where assigned to do. They worked very hard and always showed up on time which helped meet our deadline. All the work was done exceptionally and Bob added in a few things he thought I should do with out increasing the bid. In the end we came in under budget and he deducted it from the invoice. I call Bob anytime I have a job and will use him again and again!

The project went better than I could have expected. Bob was able to schedule my project at a time that worked well with my needs. The project was completed in the two weeks promised and actually came in under the originally estimated cost. Bob and his crew were prompt, very courteous and responded to my questions and concerns. The crew made sure that I had a working tub and toilet at the end of every day - a very big deal when you have only one bathroom. The work was planned and carried out so that what I had expected to be a major disruption was no more than a minor inconvenience. The final result looks great, despite the challenges of tiling old plaster walls that are not quite square. I had a couple of estimates that were lower, but I selected Bob because I needed quality work done quickly at a fair price. Based on my experience, I'll be talking with Bob about future projects. I would have no hesitation in recommending R. J. Ward Construction to those needing similar services.

It was absolutely GREAT to work with Bob and his employees. All were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. We said to ourselves repeatedly how lucky we were to have found RJ Ward Construction on Angie's list. The employees were here when they said they would be, worked very diligently, and cleaned up behind themselves throughout the day. Quality building materials were used and care was taken by Bob to match our existing siding and roofing. Extra measures were taken to to ensure that rain water drained from the roof correctly where the addition and the house met. We can not say enough about how pleased we have been with the completed kitchen and addition. We will continue to recommend RJ Ward Construction to friends and family. Bob offered to to do several extras for us that were not included in the estimate. The estimate was very fair and reasonable. An EXCELLENT job was done.

They did a really good job. I have been really pleased with the work. They have been back twice to check the moisture levels, and both times the readings have been fine. They were very nice, and low key. They take time to listen and do the work correctly.

Bob and his team are just wonderful. We cannot say enough good things about them. - His carpenter is a genius, custom building additional kitchen cabinets without a plan or design but matching them exactly to our existing ones. - His tile guy is wonderful, coming up with suggestions that helped us saved $$ and ended up better than we could have imagined. - His stonemason is great. He is quick, thorough, and tied in new to old brick without any problems at all. - The guy who did the sheetrock was there late several days literally watching everything dry to make sure everything was prepped and ready to go. - The electricians and plumbers both went over and far exceeded what we expected. - The floor guys did such a beautiful job with our hardwoods, it turned out so well. Overall - Bob and his team were such nice guys. Very professional, friendly, so accommodating. We will miss having them around. They are a really great bunch who do such an excellent job. The time they worked and their overall work was really good. I would rate them high overall. They were very responsive. I would use them again in the future.

Bob and his crew from RJ Ward Construction were great to work with through every stage of the project. They were prompt and always showed up when they said they would. They were respectful of my home and my family and went above and beyond on several occasions to make sure that the house was safe and pleasant for me and my young children during the work. One day, after painting two bedrooms,Bob stayed late into the evening to re-hang cornices and draperies so my children and I would be comfortable sleeping there. Bob's crew knew that we were living in the house during construction and were always conscientious about cleaning up every day and minimizing disruption to our lives. Everyone on Bob's crew was pleasant and professional. They kept me informed of their progress and made sure that I understood what was happening every day. There were several issues and changes that came up during the construction project and Bob never failed to work with me to find the best solution in my price range. His memory for small details and thoroughness impressed me repeatedly. As a busy professional, I appreciated that Bob scheduled his team to complete my project in a very reasonable time frame. His team was here every day and there were no big surprises during the project which I attribute to Bob's hard work and experience. Bob bid on my project against four other contractors. His pricing was competitive and now that the job is complete, I recognized the great value of his work. I highly recommend RJ Ward Construction for any home improvement work.

Our experience was absolutely fabulous; we can?t say enough good things about them. They are by far the best company we?ve worked with for things like this. We would absolutely use them again if we still lived there.

I was very pleased with the work they did. This included laying new tile, installing new pipes, and general electrical & plumbing work. They were very kind, honest, and professional. Also, the price was very reasonable for what they did.

I have used them several times and they have done much more work in the past for me. They are here when they say they will be here, they are courteous, skilled and they do high quality work.

We were living in France when this was done. I never met Bob or his crew (and still have not!). He communicated very quickly with us, kept us up to date, sent photos, listened to my ideas to change the plans, etc. I was very happy with that aspect. I am also very happy with the overall work that was done. I did not mark "excellent" because with excellent I would have seen no flaws. I would have preferred to mark "very good" but not an option. There is an issue with the door in terms of it not locking well, but it was easily fixed by my handyman uncle, and also I would have greatly preferred the screen door open toward the driveway instead of the wall of the house and why it was not done this way still baffles me. But as I was not on the premises to monitor or give feedback, it was as much my problem. All in all, I would highly recommend Bob's company. I would use him again. PS: I marked N/A for punctuality because it was not a concern to me as he was doing this job over a relatively long period and could do it as his time permitted. That said, he gets excellent for responsiveness.

They are fantastic. They moved the furniture and helped us put the furniture back. They did some work for us before.

Bob Ward and his team have always been reliable, trustworthy and efficient in all the work he has done on our home over the past 8 years. While planning our kitchen update and sunroom addition, we secured 3 estimates.
