Went fine. We even had a problem with moisture that needed to be addressed, and Tim was able to re-do the work plan so it didn't delay anything.

He was courteous. He was responsive. He was easy to work with. He reccommend a stair guy. The only downside was that it took more time than he though he was very fair with the revisions.

They removed the existing carpet and moved the furniture. They put the furniture back in place after the floor was installed. They sanded it, stained it, and coated the floor with 3 coats of polyurethane.

Ritchie Wood Floors recently added new areas of hardwood and feathered in new wood with existing areas of hardwood. In addition, they refinished our stairs, rails and posts. Tim Richie's team was on-time, dependable and peformed the work in a professional manner. The floors came out great. It is impossible to tell where the old floors meet the new floors. The color and finish are showroom quality. They made a job that is quite disruptive, managable and much less stressful than we expected. The owner Tim is extremely honest, professional and trustworthly. I would DEFINITELY recommend Ritchie floors for anyone looking for hardwood work.

The work went very well. We had an irregular schedule, which required Mr. Ritchie and his team to return several times to complete the phases of the project. Also, we had a difficult assignment, namely, matching the stain of the new floor to that of our family room. Nevertheless, he worked cheerfully with us. His team did excellent work in every phase, including multiple clean-ups, leaving a beautiful wood floor for us to use and enjoy. We are attaching photos of the finished product so that everyone may appreciate the quality of Mr. Ritchie's work.

The floors look great. He did a good job. One can't tell the difference between the old and new wood floors in the upstairs. They did a good job cleaning up and covered everything when they were working to prevent dust build up. It was finished on time.

Ritchie Flooring went above and beyond in every step of the process. We were in a time crunch when we started looking for a contractor to refinish and re-stain our hardwood floors. Tim returned our call right away, and was able to come out the very next day to give us an estimate. Tim was very honest in what he thought should and should not be done and his estimate was competitive. From the very first day Tim's crew was professional and explained everything in detail. Juan and his crew were careful to tape up all the doors and keep the process as clean as possible. They made sure that we had plenty of time to decide on the stain color and that we were comfortable with it. From start to finish we had a wonderful experience. We love our new floors and would recommend Ritchie Flooring to anyone!

It went wonderfully. The workers were beyond helpful and did a beautiful job. The owner was very polite and keep in touch with us through the whole process.

Mr. Ritchie and his guys were professionally, dependable, and knowledgeable. They cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day. We had no issues.

We had some scratches on the kitchen floor and at the front entrance. We also wanted to replace the living room carpet with a wood floor that would match the rest of the hard wood flooring. Ritchie moved all the furniture from the areas involved and and installed plastic sheeting to contain dust. They removed random pieces of the existing floor so that a pattern between the entrance way and the living room was developed. The new living room floor matched the existing wood floor perfectly and with the pattern of strips there is no way of noting that the entire floor was not installed at the same time. The work was done within the expected time interval and there was no sign of sanding dust anywhere upon completion. It was an excellent job.

There is not a better hardwood flooring company in Charlotte! I have personally used Tim in the past and have had over 10 clients use him and they will promise by his quality of work. They do things on a very high level and do it at a very competitive price. I know that Tim takes care of my clients with the highest level of professionalism and makes sure that my clients are completely satisfied before moving on. I have used Ritchie Wood Floors for several different floor fixes and replacements. I appreciate the owner's honesty very much. There was an instance when he slightly damaged my door. At the time I didn't even notice the damages. He called me up and told me he would replace the door. That spoke volumes to me about how he stands by his work. He has always done a great job and at a reasonable price.

Ritchie Wood Floors owner, Tim Ritchie, came and looked over my flooring personally and explained what his company would do, how long it would take (3 days) and how much it would cost. On schedule, his workman spend long hours (12-14) each day to get the job completed as soon as possible. They took up the quarter round floor moldings carefully and successfully replaced them once the floor was completed. There was no damage to any of the molding once reinstalled. They sanded the existing wood floor and filled cracks when required. Then the floor was stained to the color of my choice and finally three coats of polyureane was applied. The work area was sealed off during the entire process to minimize dust to the other rooms. I was impressed that the 24 foot high ceiling foyer could be walled off with draped plastic sheeting. And painter tape was used to secure the plastic sheeting to the walls and ceiling. Once the sheeting was removed there was no trace of the sheeting ever being hung...no marks on the walls or ceilings. I was very impress with Mr. Ritchie's company and I highly recommend his company for wood floor refinishing.

Their estimate was higher than the space the work would be done. They gave me tips on what to do to keep the floor okay looking. I liked them. They were responsive and down to earth. I would consider them in the future.

Though the sanding took longer than they initially thought it would, the job was just beautiful. The staff was professional and friendly and the floors were stunning. I don't know how they do it with almost no dust!

Getting a quote back took longer than they said it would. They were professional, nice and knew what he was doing. The quote was comparable, but slightly higher than the company we went with.

I was very pleased with them. The people who did the work were incredible at trying to match the colors for me. They were very patient and good about mixing colors so it was as close as possible to my existing floors. I think they mixed a dozen different colors so they could get the right shade. They didn’t seem to be put off or bothered; they just wanted me to be happy and they were open to catering to my needs.

The serviceman was great to deal with, they cleaned everything up, and the work was high quality. It was a good experience all the way around.

The process went well although there were some communication lapses. This can happen when a remodel gets delayed or extended. When I was concerned about the stain color not matching the existing wood work Tim showed up ready to resand the entire job if need be. He was able to perfect the color by tiniting the polyurethane coatings instead.

Very well from start to finish - on time, on price, good quality.

They were excellent. The owner shows up on time, and they do the work very well, the owner is onsight and he is helping the workers doing the work. He treated his workers very well. He takes his workers out on Fridays and buys them lunch and he pays them when he goes on vacation so he has guys that work for him that he can count on. He does a straight forward estimate and he is there when he says he will be there. He gets the job done and when the water heater burst I called him and he said he'd charge me the same thing that I payed last time.

Tim Richie was extremely professional and articulate. He spent time with me assessing the job. He could have tried to give a fast summary and leave as quickly as possible. But he stayed and went beyond the call of duty. He definitely knew what he was talking about and expressed himself in a clear way. The next time I have a flooring job I'll know who to call. I would highly recommend him.

This guy is great!! We tore up all the old carpet to find hardwoods underneath. It took him a week, but he did a excellent job. We trusted him and his workers in our house.
