+ 0 moreR&R was recommended by our pool company for the hardscaping portion. I'm not happy with this company. I would look elsewhere. Summary of issues, crooked fence, no drain installed between house and pool, steps were not bullnosed, travertine became loose and cracked within a year. Steps became loose. Overall very poor craftsmanship. After one year the travertine settled and cracked on a potion of the project. R&R repaired as it was under warranty. Within a year after the repair the same occurrence and now they want to charge a fortune to correct their poor craftsmanship because it is out of warranty. They also were not very proactive in trying to rectify the issue. I had to reach out multiple times

+ 0 moreR&R Irrigation and Landscaping was recommended to me by a representative from another company that I do business with. I reached out to them about a week after the recommendation for a large irrigation and landscaping job at a residential property. They scheduled an appointment with me for an evaluation. They canceled the appointment and asked to reschedule the following day. That was perfectly fine. I met with the representative for about an hour and discussed my project the following day. The representative took a copy of my home survey, gave me their cell number, and I was left feeling that this project would go well. That's when things really took a nosedive. I called the representative about 4 days later to get an update on the status of a proposal for work. They never returned my call. I called the main office multiple times and the representative's mobile number and left messages asking for a return call. I finally received a call from the representative a week later, but they called my office line after hours at night and I missed the call. So, I called the representative the following day asking them to return my call at my mobile number and they never called me. I don't like to be ignored, and I am sure you won't either. Thus, I suggest using another landscaping company for your project needs. My project was at minimum $20,000 dollars, and I couldn't get a response. I wish they would have just told me they didn't have time for me, or that they didn't want my money. That's just being courteous.
Description of Work: They wound up ignoring me, so no work was performed. The only thing I got was a rough estimate for the proposed work, which was $20,000.

Description of Work: Installed irrigation system that would water my grass and landscaping throughout the yard. They worked on a plan with me to fit my needs. It saved me money by not having to install a separate drip system for the landscaping. Other irrigation companies said it could not be done but RR was able to make it happen. They were very professional and always on time. They cleaned up everyday. They came back out twice to make tweaks to he system. They actually did what that said they would do which is very rare these days! I highly recommend them.

I am impressed with how well the fire pit turned out and it is a constant source of praise from guests. When the time is right for us, we plan on expanding the area with a walkway and patio and we will absolutely call this company back.

+ 1 moreGreat and reliable! They are professional and very hard working. My husband has been in poor health and they have been wonderful about handling add-on jobs. They have laid pavers when we moved our grill and then our trash cans. Another time I needed a fence. I highly recommend Rand R.
Description of Work: The latest job was small involving trimming shrubbery and putting in pine needles. However over the last five years, they have put in a new irrigation system and redone our entire yard. Prior to Jairo, our grass was terrible. We knew we needed to start over with sod. He gave us a great quote to put down sod. I had two other quotes. We also decided to take out 20 year old shrubs in the front. He was great. His crew came in with a bobcat and removed all of it. He was very particular about removing enough dirt so the roots would not remain. They then laid the sod, cleaned up and they were finished. I was amazed that they did it all in one day. The next day, they planted new shrubs in our front yard.

+ 2 moreGreat! Our cable line got cut one time with the installation but it was not a problem. This project went as planned and we are very happy with the end result! We will use them again in the very near future to increase the size of a retaining wall area where our swing set is now...they did the first wall but the kids are getting bigger!
Description of Work: R & R Irrigation has been a great resource for us! We have most recently added pavers; pool decking of about 1100 SF as well as added additional aluminum decorative fencing. It was a large project for us but not for these guys...they came in and knew exactly what they were doing and got the job done in about 4 1/2 days. They were on time, worked some on a Saturday (which was not expected or asked of), kept us informed and stayed on task. In wrapping up the project we had a few things we needed to go over and they were back out in no time to make sure all our questions were answered and needs met. I am a bit anxious about end-results but no worries and accessible if I had questions. I am also a local residential broker and have recommended R & R to my clients and friends for small and large jobs. They have done everything from large fencing jobs to clearing some grass for a small garden. I'm also involved in property management and we've called on R & R several times for owners' homes and lawn needs. I can not imagine anyone being dissatisfied with Jairo and his team. They are all professional and courteous. You won't go wrong. They have done the following type work at my home in the past: French drain, bark landscaping, bark delivery, landscaping maintenance, rock landscaping, two retaining walls and plant removal and re-planting. All the other jobs were smaller to us than this paver job but now that I'm on the site writing the review it's important for consumers to know how good and responsive R & R Irrigation is as a company!

+ 0 moreThe biggest issue was communication because most of the workers were Hispanic and most of the time there were no one who speaks English. And, it took a much longer time to build the wall than what they estimated. There was also no good communication about the increase in price. There were also some issues with the fence.
Description of Work: I used R & R Irrigation and Landscaping they built a stone retaining wall and did some seeding. Basically, they dug out the old lawn and fertilized and seeded it. They also installed fences.

+ -1 moreWhen installed several beds were set up with sprayer heads instead of soakers. When I requested those be changed out, vendor argued with me until I insisted they be changed and installed according to plan. The vendor replaced some of the sprayers with soakers but not in every bed. Several sprayer heads were installed so that they sprayed directly toward the house, resulting in wet areas under the house. Two zones failed after two months and vendor wanted to charge me to repair. Calls for service went unanswered and commitments to service went unfulfilled. I hired another company in September to repair non-working sprayer heads, change out sprayers for soakers and maintain the system for the future. .
Description of Work: Sales rep visited and drew plan for new irrigation system with combination of sprayer heads and soaker systems for beds and lighting. Price agreed upon and work began several weeks later.

+ 0 moreThis company was efficient and the work was fairly priced. The owner of the company came out on more than one occasion to discuss the options and to check on the work. He seemed extremely knowledgeable and I did not feel that he was selling me more than what I needed. I've written this review late - probably 2 years since the work was done - it's still good! I would recommend them!
Description of Work: I had some drainage work done by Overstream which I was not happy with. Overstream gave me a very large quote to fix what they had installed so I decided to try someone else.

The company always communicated when they would be onsite, what they were doing, and finished in a very timely manner. I would definitely recommend Rand R for landscaping and hardscaping projects!

+ -1 moreWe contracted Rand R Irrigation to install a full irrigation system, as well as new sod in our front yard. We had used them in the past to install lawn rocks ans stone pavers in our front plant beds, and were extremely pleased with the price and results, so decided to contract them again. Jairo was available quickly to provide an estimate, and his prices are very competitive. His crew is quick, clean, timely, and professional.. Work was completed in just over a day, and slightly below his original estimate. The lawn looks great, and the irrigation system is working wonderfully as well. I would not hesitate to recommend Jairo and Rand R Irrigation to anybody in need of landscaping services. He is extremely responsive, listens to the customer's wants/needs (i.e. will not and quot;overselland quot;), offers very competitive pricing and quality workmanship. Can't ask for much more than that!

The owner came out to give us an estimate for irrigation and sod for the backyard.He came when he said he would, was friendly and courteous, and spent as much time as we needed answering the questions we had. He came back to start his men on the job, lay everything out and check on how things were going. We were so Pleased with everything that was done. This was a professionally done project, for a good price. We can't give enough positive feedback. We recommend that you call this company!!!

+ -1 moreI can't say I am thrilled with them. They are supposed to provide me with lawn and irrigation care. They installed the irrigation system in my new home. They come and mow the lawn every week, except in the Winter when they come every 2-3 weeks. They don't take the time to cut the shrubs away from the house. They don't do anything about the weeds that I get. They come twice a year to put down fertilizer and seed, and that's about it. If I ask them specifically to cut the shrubs away from my house; they will. In my opinion they should do it as part of the normal service, and they don't. They are supposed to put pine needles around the trees in the Spring. They always tell me they have a schedule, but they never do it until I ask them. They are frustrating in that sense. They charge me extra for the pine needles. I have a medium size yard. I have a monthly contract with them. When I call and get on them they will come out and do stuff; but why should I have to? They don't always come at the same time, so I never know when to stay home and catch them so I can ask them to do something. I have to send e-mails to the boss and ask why they didn't do something, and then the next week they will do it. The price is reasonable for what they do. I will continue to use them for now, but I am looking for someone else.

+ 0 moreJairo and his team showed up at 7:00 AM on the morning of the agreed upon date. Sod arrived on 14 pallets by tractor trailer and 45 yards of fill and organic topsoil was brought in to re-grade yard. The work was performed as agreed, on time, on budget and in one day. Sod was laid professionally and with no empty spacing or holes. We now have a fantastic backyard with no drainage issues and which is perfect for play or relaxing.
Description of Work: Level backyard and install sod. Our backyard is approximately 110 ft. wide by 100 feet deep. The backyard sloped approximately 4 feet with a substantial dip over the last 35 feet. R&R was hired to bring in the necessary fill dirt to properly grade the yard and install 7500 SF of sod. Additionally, R&R was also to replace and fix previously installed irrigation system and move some existing small cherry trees.
