Quality Choice Painting

The wallpaper was a big job, and the drywall needed a lot of work after its removal. I was initially happy as he made quick work of the wallpaper. But, after the skim coat to fix the drywall was applied and sanded, there were still a lot of imperfections. He painted the wall anyway, applying copious amounts of paint to cover up the flaws. I objected, and he sanded the walls again, and fixed the drywall imperfections and repainted, and the walls were pretty smooth. After the paint dried, I had the same problem with the chair rail, and LOTS of bits of wallpaper, drywall paper and glue were stuck to it, and he painted over it all, just as he had done on the walls. I called him back, and he sanded, patched, sanded and painted.... again. Steer clear from this guy, unless you want to struggle with trying to educate him regarding what you consider a quality paint job- every step of the way. And expect to find trash and empty water bottles in various places about your home.
