I thought I had already posted a review for this but I see here it didn't post, I am in the process of contacting the contractor for more services. He did a great job on the first project and was very easy to work with. He sent me pictures when the project was done and did a fantastic job. I would recommend him to anyone. I currently have two other projects that need completed and reached out to Paul first because his work was so great. Unfortunately it seems like he won't have time to complete my new projects, but if I have things that need fixed again in the future I would consider him again.
Description of Work: Fixed a wood fence gate and fixed a faulty step on a deck.
Paul returned my initial call and scheduled a time to come out and look at the work. He called on the day of the appointment to confirm and showed up on time. He suggested some alternatives to the repair work, schedule a time, and came out at the scheduled time to perform the work. Very professional and I could not ask for more.
Description of Work: Repaired wood around garage door and corrected problem with flooring in house.

Great ! I had an appointment within a few days of contacting Paul. He was very professional,on time and courteous. And did an excellent job.
Description of Work: Hung to shutters that had fallen down. The shutters were on the second floor, with several large shrubs as obstacles.
Paul and his son and one other helper were very efficient. The main reason we had picked him from other bids is that he himself is present, working and overseeing. He is very knowledgeable in carpentry, electrical as well as construction and knows what are the correct code requirements. He really falls more in the category of a general contractor rather than handyman as his skill set far exceeds what one thinks of with a handyman service. We would hire again, no question

Paul Quick, Inc just finished their work and just left. I could hardly wait to give them the glowing review they deserve. Paul answered my phone call and said the were wrapping up a job down off Rea road and could be here in an hour. They WERE here in an hour. They made quick work of it, and performed perfectly. Two trucks showed up after one went to purchase some cement/concrete. I was extremely impressed. It was awesome. The mailbox and post are straight and solid. Great work, guys.
Description of Work: Took out my old mailbox and rotting wood post and replaced it with a new one, which I had purchased.

It took a few days to get him to get a hold of me, but as soon as he did get a hold of me, he was on time and even came out twice and also followed up.. He fixed the actual problem and didn't try to find other false things wrong, would definitely use him again! The other people who review the situation were giving me expensive repairs that wouldn't of work. He was very honest, far more honest than the other companies that came out.

Good response on estimates, renovation and remodeling. Very professional to deal with and work quality was outstanding! Finished product more than met expectations and I'm very, very particular. A very good overall experience with this contractor and one I plan to use again for a kitchen remodel.
Description of Work: Completely renovated and remodeled my Master Bath.
It went very well. He charged $1900 and what he did was took of 2 layers of shingles from a mini barn, took the debris away, he re-roofed the min barn and he repaired the eaves on the mini barn. He repaired one railing on my deck, he pressure washed the deck, stained the deck and he made a new latticed door for the deck. This isn't the first time that I've used him. What I would say about him is if you need something done in a hurry he is not the one to call because he's in high demand and he doesn't do shady work. He takes pride in his work.

Called Paul and described job that I had, said he would call back later and still waiting. We have used Paul several times in the past, and it seems like when he's busy he forgets the clients that kept him busy in the past. I am very disappointed with his lack of reply, and will look at others before calling on him again.

Headline of this review- Do NOT hire Paul Quick if you want professional, finished work or someone who takes pride in a polished work product. He came out quickly to give us a quote and could schedule the work the next week or so. When we got home and saw the finished work, we were not pleased with the job. The new drywall was installed, but there was a very noticeable seam line ~2- feet long in the ceiling, as well as bumpy/unfinished patch work on the ceiling. When we called Paul to express our concern, he acted surprised and doubtful of what we were reporting. He said to "send him a picture"- which we did. Upon receipt of the picture showing the seam line, he emailed this message: "mark it with pencil i will stop by tomorrow afternoon late." While we were happy he'd agreed to come back out, we would have appreciated an apology, acknowledgment that there was an issue, or possibly checking if that time work for us (we had a dinner with friends planned for that evening). We decided to send him an email to explain our concerns over his manner (some confusion as to when to start the work and being upset that I was there early because "your husband said you wouldn't be here until 9. Now the other truck isn't coming until 9"- even though he had our garage code to get in), work to-date, and professionalism. Our message outlined the concerns we had, his positive reviews to-date and our hope to provide another one, and our wish that the work would be corrected. Then, we got this email message from him: "... At this point I don't think I can please you there for I will not charge you for any work done today." While it is true he didn't charge us, he also didn't finish the job or leave the work paint-ready, as we'd expected. We would not use Paul Quick again as he did not complete the job and bailed on it once he was criticized and asked to fix it. While the work was in our garage, we wanted it done right and to look good- which is why we hired a 'professional'- or so we thought. We are both busy professionals and wouldn't be nit picky just to be difficult or cause extra work for anyone or headaches for ourselves, but we do expect work to be done professionally and any issues to be fixed. Save yourself some headache and look elsewhere!!!
Description of Work: Paul was contracted to fix a hole in our garage ceiling that we had to made due to investigating a leak. He was supposed to put up a new piece of drywall and patch the area so that it was paint-ready. We even asked him if he could provide a quote for painting because we wanted to get the garage painted (he does not paint).

Paul was hard to get a hold of initially. I left several messages via phone and email. He explained that he had a full schedule and a small crew and couldn't take on a new job until the next month. Still, I persisted based on the positive Angie's List reviews. I'm glad I did. Paul arrived promptly for the consultation. He was polite, professional. Gave me his quote and an honest assessment of when he could do the job (2weeks). He actually made that clear before he came out for the consultation. I appreciated that. Fortunately, we weren't in a hurry. We called him back within a week or so to schedule the repair. His was one of three opinions that recommended a smaller repair vs a total bathroom renovation to fix the problem. We preferred not to do a whole bathroom reno. On the day of the scheduled repair Paul arrived on time and got the job done within the estimated time frame. ( He actually called the day before and offered to come early--said he had an opening--unfortunately, we could not do it then but we appreciated the offer). Paul reinforced the area in question, installed the flange and reseated the new toilet that we had provided. He cleaned up afterwards and took the old toilet away for an agreed upon additional charge. We had a good experience working with Paul. No surprises. We would hire him again.
Description of Work: Plumber checked leaky toilet but could not reseat toilet due to small area of rotten wood where flange needed to attach. Paul reinforced the area, allowing the flange to be secured and, therefore, the toilet to be reseated. This repair saved us a more than $10,000 bathroom renovation.

As it was explained to the customer the door that was being reversed was a all metal mobile home unit so it is not as easy as reversing the hinges on a standard door unit. the screw driver was returned as soon as I returned from a funeral. the window to he door had to be screwed shut as it could not be reversed. the lock set was electronic and all that needed to be done was just flip the reverse switch, and the mail box did open it was binding when closing simple wd 40 repaired this. Sorry she was not happy but all these issues of reversing this door were discussed prior to the work starting.

I first contacted Paul Quick on Aug.25 to schedule an appointment for an estimate. He didn't get back to me for three days and then told me he couldn't get out to my house for three weeks. I agreed because the Angie's List reviews were good. He came out as scheduled and promised to email me an estimate two days later. I didn't hear from him for five days -- Sept. 22. He didn't send an estimate but instead said he didn't want the job. So he basically wasted a month of my time.

Paul responded quickly to our request for estimate for the work. He told us that it would be about a month before he could get to the work and in about a month, he called to schedule a time to do the work. His son Kevin came to do the repairs. Like his father Kevin was very professional and very pleasant to deal with. Appointments were kept as promised. Work was done efficiently, carefully and the area was cleaned up after. Kevin was careful to try to match wood on this old shed as best he could and clearly takes pride in doing a good job. We're very pleased with results. We have had Paul and /or Kevin do work for us several times before and we've never been disappointed. It's nice to know that when they say they will do something it will be done well. Price was very fair.

Paul and his two man crew did exactly what was promised. The quality was excellent. Arrival was as promised and they were thru in a little over 4 hours. They left no trash and the work area was perfect. You will not be disappointed in Paul and his crew.
Description of Work: Replaced front door, replaced rotten rear door and framing, replaced rear entrance door thresh which had rotten out, plus several small electrical problems were corrected.
Paul came out for a quote and gave me one within two days. I called to schedule and he worked with our time frame. They came at 8:00 a.m. as promised and worked straight through until 4 on Friday. They framed, sheet rocked, and mudded the closet in the morning and finished the trim and installed the bi-fold doors, crown molding in both rooms and changed ceiling fan in the afternoon. Paul returned Saturday morning to sand and finish the closet. They thoroughly cleaned up before they left each day. I would strongly recommend him to others and will use them again in the future.

He performed toilet, faucet and shower door repairs. All went well except I need to have him back out to redo the shower door rubber strip at the bottom of the shower door
Description of Work: New rubber strip on shower door, leaky faucet, toilet that would not quit running. The only thing that didn't work out was the shower door. The rubber strip is coming out - but in all fairness, I have not alerted him to the problem. I would definitely have him do plumbing work for me again.
