Paul Quick Inc

Last week we had an upstairs home visit for my husband by a health aid. When she left, I went downstairs and discovered the door bell box was making a loud persistent buzzing sound.. I called Paul Quick who has done other work for us. I left voice mail describing the situation. He called back IMMEDIATELY and talked me through the process of cutting the wire in the box to stop the buzzing. He said that ultimately there was a risk of burning up the coil in the box and this was a fire risk. I was so impressed that he stopped whatever he was doing in order to help me over the telephone. Today his outfit came and replaced the doorbell itself as well as the box. So I give him an A+++ because he gave me such immediate help and may have prevented a disaster.

Responding very quickly to let me know his schedule wouldn't work for my needs. Really appreciate his honesty and responsiveness.

Paul arrived when promised for the original consultation and emailed the formal proposal the next day. He indicated that it would be a couple of weeks before he would be able to do the work. He said he would call when he could execute the repairs. He answered our questions during the consultation and was clear about what he would do, and what he could not promise (e.g., that the replacement wood would match exactly). We accepted the proposal and after a couple of weeks my husband called and Paul came the next day. Paul was punctual for the consultation and for the repair day. The work was done efficiently and professionally. He kept us apprised of what he was doing, and showed us the wood flooring before he started. He gave followup directions for the care of the wood replacement. The job looked great! There has been a driving rain since the door caulking and no water entered. The foyer looks fine. We anticipate using Paul for other projects in the future.

Paul was quick and efficient. Too often vendors do not want to work on small tasks, but Paul was fantastic. He arrived on time ready to tackle what ever I needed. I did not have major problems, but tasks that required a "handyman". He put up my garage tool track, my deck hook, secured my toilet paper holder (which my grandchildren destroyed), and put together a tall and very heavy bookcase. That alone was worth it. If anyone had to read and perform the steps to assemble such items should understand. I do recommend Paul to anyone needing work around the house.

Paul and his son got here at the expected time. I had bought a door at Home Depot and they picked it up on their way to our house. They hung the door, cleaned up and hauled the old door away. We were very happy with their work.

Paul showed up to look at our project when he said he'd be there, and contributed his suggestions for the room. He gave us an estimate, start date, and showed up at our house the day he said. I appreciated that Paul and his crew stayed with the project until completed; I've had contractors "disappear" for several days during a project -- unnecessarily leaving me with a mess and confusion. Since the completion of the room this past spring, we had a problem with one of the doors "sticking". Paul was prompt to return my call and came out within the week to look at it. One always wonders if a builder will provide service after the "sale" -- Paul does! Having noticed the addition, two neighbors asked for Paul's name and phone #. Paul is the only handy man that I will use on my properties. Extremely reliable and always does top notch service! Would not even think of using anyone else.

Paul and his sons were prompt, professional and knowledgable. We divided our bonus room into two smaller rooms. Paul knew all the current codes and was able to lay out the electircal and wiring , move two ceiling fans with no problem. They hung drywall. Taped, mudded and sanded it so it was ready to paint. They cleaned up after themselves every evening (even swiffered all the dust from the drywall). The had to remove the entire french door in my kitchen to repair water damage to the subfloor. They resealed the door and re-hung them so they close properly for the first time! I just cannot say enough about these guys! They are the guys you are looking for.

Paul Quick's son, Kevin, handled the work for us and he did an outstanding job with each and every task. He was prompt, pleasant, and professional and he took care of each job with a smile. There was no time wasted - he never even took a break, he went right to work and moved from one task to the next without any delay whatsoever. We thought the price was fair given the amount of work performed. We could not have been more pleased and we will definitely contact this company again whenever we need a handyman. Paul Quick's sons came out to perform the work, arriving exactly when they said they would.. Both were friendly, efficient, and professional. The quality of their work was outstanding, particularly in the rebuilt crawlspace access. They found and pointed out some termites in the old door, potentially saving us a lot of money. I plan on calling Mr. Quick for many projects in the future.

Paul quickly came by to quote the work requiring custom trim which was difficult to locate. Initially Paul's son came by with the wrong trim, but Paul quickly responded and was able to locate a source in the area. Then the supplier failed to deliver the trim on time as promised, so Paul took things into his own hands and made a special trip to SC to pick it up. I was pleased with his determination to get the job done on time and with the final product.

Paul Quick gave me a quote quickly. I asked for two half gates instead of one large one to swing towards the backyard. His two sons did an excellent job and I'm very happy with the results. Thank you. Helen

It went great. I was able to send Paul pictures of the door we wanted replaced and the door we wanted to replace it with and he sent over an estimate right away. An hour later his guys were at my house with the door and got started working. Went very smoothly - they brought the correct door and took about an hour to finish replacing including filling the nail holes and caulking. They even replaced the doorstop which had gotten lost at some point. They worked efficiently and cleaned up afterwards.

Paul had done work for me before so I trusted him and his crew to do the work while I was away. All the work was done to my satisfaction. The amazing part was the way they repaired the basement drywall and trim such that it matched the rest of the basement that hadn't been damaged.

Paul Quick and his company had remodeled my kitchen. After some months, one side of the double sink started leaking around the coupling and I called him. He came that afternoon and fixed the leak for no additional charge. He and his company has always been professional, prompt, honest, and do what they say they will do for the price they quote. Our ceiling fan is 14' high in an open floor plan and we do not have a ladder. The light bulbs burnt out and we needed them replaced. Also, our doorknob on the garage entry door was broken. Mr. Quick replaced the light bulbs and fixed the doorknob for us very quickly. He arrived on time and was very professional.

Paul and his crew did excellent work on both jobs they did for us. The bathroom tile floor they replaced was particularly challenging because of deterioration to floor joists in the vicinity of a leaky toilet. Paul came up with a plan to "sister" the damaged joists. The subsequent installation of new under flooring and the final new tile itself was expertly done and included all new floor molding. I was so pleased with the work they did, I asked them to do a second job fixing some molding in our family room wherein Paul came up with another neat solution to an eyesore that had bothered me for some time. The work done was great and so was the price we paid. I would definitely use Paul Quick, Inc. again should the occasion arise.

Firstly my experience with Paul beforehand was excellent. He arrived as promised to give me an estimate. Invoicing was prepared and sent to me the next day. I did my comparasion shopping with about 5 other handymen and Paul's prices were comparable if not better than most. We set our date for his services. Paul and his son were on time, worked the jobs as discussed and gone in about 4 hours. Great jobs with everything, courteous, polite and exactly the price which was quoted. Over the years I have had many handymen over to do work on the house. I never had someone come again but I intend to keep Paul for all my jobs. Hands down the best experience I have had with a handyman service. Worth every penny.

We found that his ability to complete several projects for us very satisfactory and were impressed by his dependability and integrity. Would certainly use him again in the future as needs arise.

Mr. Quick and his son were very professional. They arrived on time and went right to work. Everything was completed and we are very pleased with the work. We will definitely use them again in the future!

We had some plumbing needs, electrical needs, and other minor things that we needed repaired at our house. Instead of calling three different people to come do the work I called Paul after reading reviews on AL. He was able to squeeze us in about a week later which was fine. He showed up when he said he would, had everything he needed to repair what we had talked about, and figured out a way to repair a storm door that we had not previously discussed. It was a very good experience and we will be having him come back to do a little exterior work and some cabinet repair that we discussed while he was here in about 6-8 weeks. Would highly recommend to others.

He is always very punctual and does a great job. Very trustworthy. I keep his name handy for all of our needs. I send our bills to our other office, so I am not sure of the costs.
