Panda Kitchen & Bath

We haven't had the counters installed yet but I will revise this review once they are in. As of my first three encounters, I felt I needed to write this review. Many people have stated frustration with their customer service which I have had nothing but a great experience so far. The only concern I had was they require total payment to be made one week prior to installation which seems odd but since they are an established company I have agreed to that. My first experience was meeting Lily at the Pineville showroom. She was always friendly and accommodating each time I visited. Once I decided to work with them, she set up an appointment for that Saturday to measure the countertops. I cannot recall his name but he was very good at communicating everything he was doing and give me instructions of what we needed to do before they arrived. I was concerned about the grain of the granite going two different directions so he suggested I go to the showroom on Harris Blvd. and talk to John about that. He made an appointment for Monday to see him. I received a confirmation call later on Saturday to be sure I was intending to meet with John on Monday. When I arrived at the Harris Blvd. showroom, I met with John. We looked at the slabs of the granite I had chosen and he figured out a cutting layout so all the grain would be running in the same direction. Since I haven't had the granite installed yet, I cannot speak to that but will come back and revise as soon as that is completed. I just wanted to say that I don't think I have every had any better customer service anywhere. They have all been friendly and very responsive. I just don't understand some of these other reviews.

Professional courteous service, great value (price and quality)

The installers did a great job putting the counter tops on. They were very efficient and left no mess. Old counters were removed quickly and they even corrected a couple issues we had with the cabinets below. They installed the new granite counter and they look great. The person they send out to do the measurements is great. He is the one that will answer all the questions concerning the install, what kind of granite, what kind of cuts etc. He patiently went over every detail and explained the prep work involved. The showroom experience is not that of a high end kitchen design showroom. The quote discussion was a bit frustrating. However, overall it was a good experience and are happy with the final result.

Panda was one of the first places we went to and their estimate ended up being for far less than pretty much anywhere else we talked to. However you likely get what you pay for, as the quality of the cabinets particularly did not appear to be that great. However (as we still haven't done anything to our kitchen), I would still consider using them for at least the countertops. There is a bit of a language barrier, but from my experience the employees were nice.

Provider does not communicate well enough in english to undestand customer's desires

They were fabulous. I went to their various locations. Lily is amazing. They were just really good. They came right out. I got my counters just so quickly. I wanted it on my birthday and they actually were able to get it immediately. Their price was at least half of what they have in Home Depot. It was so much less, I couldn't believe it. I had no difficulties with them.

We went to the showroom to view samples of granite. We arrived at 5:23pm to just see what they had. A man came and asked uf is he could help us. I said we were looking for granite countertops. He asked us immediately if we had an appointment. We said no and asked if we needed one. He didn't answer that question but statted they are closing in 7 minutes. The door stated they were open to 6pm, not 5:30. He said we could look around if we want. We started to browse and the man went back to his desk and played on his phone and did not acknowledge we were in the building. THe store was not laid out well that we were able to immediately locate the samples. After a few minutes we left and he didn't even acknowledge that we were leaving. I will never go back to this place again if that is how they treat prospective customers.

We did not go with them because of the service in the store and trying to get questions answered there, we didn't feel comfortable.

I have friends who are happy with their counters from Panda, and I will honestly say that since I did not hire them, I do not know if the quality of the granite is comparable to the counters I did get. Their prices are very low compared to everyone else I talked to, which made me skeptical and I asked around a little more, wondering if there were hidden costs or something. I was told (not sure if true) that the counters are cut in another country and shipped over, which means that if there is a mistake or problem, I believe you'd have to get new ones shipped over. The other big issue I have heard is that there are a lot more seams because of the way they're processed, instead of one huge slab being able to do your entire island or counter with other companies, a couple smaller ones might be used and therefore you will have more seams on the counter. This company seems to be the best option for those looking for granite at the lowest possible price if you're not particular about details. They came to the house very quickly to do measurements and estimates and they appear to always be running some kind of special, so that is very helpful. Staff were very professional.

Their prices are competitive but if you shop around you can get very comparable prices minus the hassle. their rep came to do the measurements. They nickle and dime you for everything and in the end its not that great a deal. The will put your kitchen out of use for one day are not responsible for the cleanup ( dust from grinding the stone) which by the way was not the even an issue with the contractor I used eventually . Their customer service is horrible. I found their reps very unfriendly as if they were doing me a favor by installing my kitchen. My advise stay away

They did a wonderful job. I have no complaints.

Other than the sink shape, everything was satisfying from beginning to end.

They're a bunch of rip offs. They flip flopped around. The closer we got to cutting a deal, the more he started popping up with a bunch of add-ons. He wasn't very knowledgeable. The granite looked like it was hard grade granite. There was a reason it was so cheap. I would not go with them.

They did excellent work and their price was very good. They explained the whole installation process to us well. They also explained how to take care of them.

The customer service was good up until the day of installation. Installers were 3 hours late. I know that replacing countertops is a messy and timely process, but I got the impression that the installers (since they were late) rushed through my installation to finish that day. They were on site until 8:00 p.m.

We contacted them and they charged to just come out and give us a quote. Never had that happen before. I know why now. Their quality and time line is so far out of whack that they don't get much work they quote. I guess they have to make money somehow.

We are thrilled with the end result, but we warned that working with Panda is not a stress-free experience. They forgot to order our granite and didn't realize until we went to "preview" our piece the week it was supposed to be installed. We were not happy at all with the level of customer service we received from Panda, but we realize it's probably a sacrifice you make in working with a discount provider. Several pieces of our granite arrived with the installer and were not polished/finished on the right edges. Our installer was excellent and did the work on site. The installers don't typically do this, but he was willing to do the extra work to make us happy. Gerard salvaged our experience with Panda. We recommend that you request him for your installation if you choose to work with Panda. All in all, we're happy with the end result. But it took a lot of work and a lot of oversight to make sure we didn't slip through the cracks at Panda.

WOW! Great price, on time, responsive. We found a winner!

I am not happy with the job at all. I've called them twice and they won't return my calls. One of the tops has a big black spot in it that I want changed.

PANDA KITCHEN HAS REALLY INEXPENSIVE GRANITE, IMPORTED FROM CHINA. FOR STANDARD KITCHENS AND BATHS (STANDARD DEPTH COUNTERS) THEIR PRICES CAN'T BE BEAT. WE HAD ONE MISCOMMUNICATION REGARDING A SINK, BUT THEY CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. THEY ARE ALSO PRETTY FAST - GOT MY GRANITE WITHIN 10 DAYS OF THE FINAL MEASUREMENT. NOT GOOD FOR CUSTOM OR ELABORATE JOBS PROBABLY - BUT OVERALL I WAS QUITE PLEASED WITH THE VALUE OF THEIR PRODUCT.
