They just do what they say they are going to do and then all I've used them for is annual check ups. I haven't needed any repair. (Workers) They are nice. They are good.

He had been servicing my old unit and when it went bad, they installed a new unit and they normally service it. I called them the other week to get on the schedule. A friend of mine who is an attorney had just installed a new system and Nick had installed his system and we were talking and he said, "You know Nick & Co. services my unit, I've been very pleased with their work." He gave me their number and it turns out their office is right across my neighborhood. I could literally walk from my house to where their office is located. I've been very pleased with their work. I generally have him check it in April or May and then generally in October or November. For a regular service, it's $95. Some people advertise it for less, $59 special or $75 special, but I've just stayed with Nick & Co. They've always been very professional. The workers are very nice, very professional and very courteous.

When I called initially they were very responsive when they wanted to sell me a new unit - had someone out & gave me a quote quickly, installed the equipment in a timely fashion. I was pleased with the technician who installed the unit. They were very responsive when I was interested in buying a new system. However, after the system was installed & paid over the phone I never received a receipt, the warranty information nor the paperwork for the $200 mail-in rebate to Duke Power that was shown on the quote. I've left voice messages spoke to Nick (the owner), and sent several emails. He said he would send it right out. Still no warranty information or rebate forms 2.5 months later. I own 10 rental homes in Charlotte and you'd think they would be interested in more of my work. I've purchased a new HVAC earlier this year for another house and found the Duke Power Rebate form has a time limit to sent it in. I'm very unhappy with the service I've received since installing this unit.

I've been doing business with Nick & Co. for years. I have always been pleased with their service--both at the office and the technicians who come out to my home.

Woke up to find our air had gone out overnight. Nick arrived within four hours of my call. diagnosed the problem, and replaced the faulty part within 30 minutes. Great service, as always, with Nick & Co.

Attempted to get Nick & Co. to give me a bid for needed HVAC work related to a remodel project. When technician was at my home completing routine annual servicing, I mentioned the project to him and he stated he would take care of setting up the appointment to complete the bid. After several weeks went by, we never heard from the technician so I called and set up an appointment for Tuesday morning between 9:00 and 10:00 am. Manager called at 9:30 on Tuesday to tell me they could not make the appointment. So, we rescheduled for Friday morning between 9:00 and 10:00 am. Nobody showed up for the appointment. At this point, I am highly frustrated given that I stayed home from work for both appointments that never happened. Called at 12:30 on Friday to speak to the manager about the no show and was told she was on the phone and would call me when she got off the phone. Had to call again at 2:30 because of no call back and got the non-helpful answering service. Called again and finally spoke with the manager who said she left a voice mail stating they could not make the Friday morning appointment. Not sure who got the message she left because it was not left on any of my phones. She apologized and said she was going to have the owner call me and wanted to send me a gift card for all the trouble. Never got a call from the owner and did not receive any gift card. Time to move on to another HVAC company.

Had to wait for a return phone call before I could schedule an appointment. That's unusual, but not a problem; this was a routine service call, not an emergency. On the day of the appointment, the office called to let me know that the service person was running about 30 minutes behind. He did arrive about 30 minutes later than the appointment, just as predicted. We recently purchased the home and had no record of when the A/C system had last been serviced. The service call did not seem rushed, the system was inspected and one pound of freon added. The service call was performed in a professional manner. We will most likely call this provider when it is time for the furnace to be inspected in the fall.

We called to get a second opinion after being astounded by another proposal from a different HVAC firm. Nick's was late but called and let us know. They were very courteous and professional. A comprehensive inspection was made of my current system and a minimal service was performed. They had me up and going again for over $10,000 less that one of the big HVAC providers said it would cost me two days earlier. Thank you Nick's and Company!

They work very quickly and we've always liked their work. They're very professional and very neat. We even took out an annual contract with them.

Even though I decided on going with a company a friend recommended, because they gave me a price that could not be beat, Nick & Co. was very professional and so was his staff. They were very responsive, and patient with me, since I was speaking with 6 companies for quotes. I would recommend them to anyone looking for HVAC!

About mid-day I noticed our house was too warm and we could not get the air to turn on. I called Nick & Co and a technician arrived within about 2 hours - wonderful service in the middle of summer! Daniel was our technician and after a short inspection of the system in the very hot attic he explained that we had a bad switch that was keeping the air from turning on. He repaired our problem quickly and was very friendly and professional. Nick & Co had originally replaced our outside unit about 8 years ago. Thankfully we hadn't needed to call them back for over 8 years and the problem we did have didn't have anything to do with the service they performed 8 years prior. I'm happy to be a customer of theirs!

Our old system was 23 years old and was not worth repairing. They gave us seven different options and prices, all of them Trane systems. They came out to do the job just a couple of days after we had made our choice. They did the job in one day and we were very pleased with the quality of the work.

The technician arrived on time, announced himself, performed the work, and reported the results. We've used Nick & Co for many years. After having bad experiences with several other companies back to back, we received two referrals on the same day for Nick. Since then he's replaced both A/C systems and performed substantial repairs to one of the heating systems. He costs a bit more but the quality is excellent and can't be beat. His office staff is wonderful and often saves us a visit but suggesting simple things we can do to fix minor problems.

Units were ordered and arrived in less than a week. Installation was scheduled within a couple of days. Installations were completed on time. All workers put covers on shoes each time they enter our home. They cleaned up the attic, hall, foyer areas each time after working in the house. Outside area was also cleaned up. All boxes, etc. were removed each day. All units worked properly as soon as installed. No call backs were needed. We have used this company exclusively for close to 30 years for maintenance and replacements of both home and office building units.

Our 17-year old air conditioning was leaking large amounts of freon for a number of months so we decided it was time to replace both the a/c and the furnace. Nick was at our house within 24 hours of our phone call and we received an email proposal the next day, a Tuesday. The work was performed on Friday of the same week. Nick's crew arrived on time (even a little early) and the entire job was completed by 4:30 P.M. the same day. Dee in the office was invaluable and even coordinated with the city for an inspection. With the utility rebates, the job came to about $5,700. We were offered both a 13SEER and 15SEER air conditioner. We chose the 13SEER. The 15SEER price was $6,700. We felt, however, that the 13SEER was sufficient for our needs. This company is a standout-prompt, courteous, efficient and reasonably priced. First-rate.

It is worth every penny. Unlike some providers, Nick takes the initiative to call and schedule the included maintenance inspection visits, and has responded promptly whenever we have had an issue. Their repair/maintenance rates are reasonable, and I find them to be completely reliable, professional and competent, and offer my highest recommendation of them to you.

They were great. They replaced our upstairs furnace and the whole system in the downstairs - the furnace and the compressor. We were very pleased with them. We would rate them highly and would use them again in the future.

I got quotes from 4 different HVAC Companies. Nick & Co was the least expensive. They also did a great job with the installation and are a pleasure to deal with from a Customer Service perspective. I spoke a great deal with Dee - who handled everything beautifully. Dee took care of the paperwork to make sure I got all the Tax Credits I was entitled to - from the Federal Govt and Duke Power. I didn't have to do a thing. I most definitely recommend Nick & Co to anyone looking to do any king of HVAC work.

Their service and people are excellent, professional, punctual and of the highest quality. I have undergone difficult situations withfrom my thermostat not working in the middle of a heat wave to a pump that needed to be replaced. I also experienced woth with another HVAC company because of a house warranty requirements. I can honestly say that the experience has proven to me to use and recommend Nick & Company.

NIck & Co. does excellent work. They replaced our entire HVAC system including duct work, for a house we had just purchased. We knew the entire system needed to be replaced when we bought the house (it was 22 years old and had been poorly maintained). I had no doubt on who to use based on their reputation - NIck & Co. And I was very pleased with the timeliness, professionalism, and quality of the work they performed.
