Craig from Nascair contacted me about 5 minutes after the slated appointment letting me know he was on his way. Very professional, clean cut, courteous, I enjoyed talking to Craig about the specifics of my equipment and things that needed to be done. We've used Nascair for over 4 years now and they've been just great. The service team is solid, reliable and knowledgable. They've also helped us with working on our existing ductwork that wasn't getting enough air flow to rooms. The installers, Alex, Luis, Yelson and Brandon were awesome. They spent roughly 60 hours in my home for exactly one week. Every inch of old ductwork was removed as well as the old line sets and of course the units. They protected all my floors and cleaned up each day. David (owner) personally visited and checked on the install as well as Michael (who handled the initial consult, pricing and design) also visited. I can say without a doubt that I got EVERY pennies worth. The new units and installs are perfect and I couldn't be more pleased.
Description of Work: Installed new complete upstairs and downstairs units. Both with UV lights and whole house filtration. Replaced all ductwork, lines and added returns in all upstairs rooms.

They said it was just getting old. They put the booster on there and charged us for the part but not for the service call cause they had been here two weeks earlier. It has been working ever since.
Description of Work: We thought it was our fan, they came out and couldn't find anything. A couple weeks later, our air conditioner wasn't working. They came out and said something was wrong actually with the starter on the compressor. So they put a booster thing on it to get it to start.

The technician (Danny) was punctual and professional. This is the second time Danny has serviced my system. He also checked my air conditioner system this summer. He thoroughly explains what he has done. Very professional and nice guy. This company is the only one I will use for my system. I have recommended them to two of my friends and so far one also used them for having his system checked for the winter also.

The service went very well. I noticed the heat pump was not cooling properly on Monday morning. I made a few calls that day to local HVAC businesses and most said it would be 4 to 5 days until they could get my job on their schedule. Nascair checked their books and said they could come the next day (Tuesday) at 9:00 AM. The service technician, Danny, was right on time. He was a very nice guy, and knew his stuff. He determined what had gone bad, the starting capacitor, saw that the contactor was going bad, so he replaced that part too. He cleaned the coils of the units, and charged the system. Was about a 2 hour job, he showed me what he was doing and went over the old parts, let me know why he was doing the repairs he was making. It was excellent service, I do recommend this company.
Description of Work: Replaced the capacitor and contactor for the compressor on the outside unit, and cleaned the coils of both the inside and outside units. Also checked the Freon pressures and added small amount (1/4 lb) to set the sub-cooling to the correct value.

We have used Nascair for 10 years after a horrible experience with Morris Jenkins and now I totally have my doubts about Nascair. We have referred so many people and now I am sorry for that and will not do in the future. During our fall service the technician told me we needed a float switch that cost $135.00 to bring up to code, so total bill was $224.00. Sunday December 21st our heat went out and we called around 11:00 no response so I called again at 1:30 and the guy told me if would have to be Monday before he could come. We found someone else that came out and took10 minutes to fix and told me we did not need the float switch because our house was up to code. I am so disappointed in Nascair. They have lost the trust and customer service that I honestly thought they would never do. Yes they are NO different than Morris Jenkins..

We hired a general contractor to build a new deck and screened porch. As part of their proposal, they included a fee and services to relocate our existing gas grill line which was mounted on the previously existing deck. Nascair was the general's selected subcontractor to perform the services. Since our fee was part of the general's proposal, I listed price as N/A as I don't know what Nascair would have charged me directly. My experience with Nascair was generally good, and I am very happy with the end result of the work. I thought they were very responsive. I have only one issue, possibly nit-picky in someone else's eyes, that lead to a C for "Professionalism" and B "Overall." Workers were on site twice, once for initial rough-in installation, and again for final install. Under the new deck, I had temporarily placed a package of roofing shingles left over from the roof install of the new porch. I planned to keep them for future maintenance and/or repair work on the house. After the worker's first visit, I noticed under the deck that one of them had taken a sheet of the shingles, and used it to either lay on or kneel on while working under the deck. I thought it was improper they would consume "my stuff" as a convenience to them. The shingle was left where they had used it, along with some misc plastic bag trash. After their final visit, I looked under the deck again and my jaw dropped. They had helped themselves to six more sheets of "my" shingles from the package and laid them out on the ground as a blanket to lay on while doing their work. Worse, when they were done, they left it all in place along with the other trash. I thought it was disrespectful of "my" property and highly unprofessional. I was home at the time, and would have gladly offered one of my tarps to lay on. Beyond that, I would have thought they'd have their own tarp for such situations. Having said this, the crews were otherwise very good. I have no reason to believe Nascair as a whole is less than professional in their work and how they run their organization. My intent for this feedback is to provide constructive criticism that might be used to better educate and train the crew.

I have used this company many times at my house and a rental property- always professional. If work need to be completed- they have always showed me the part, explained how it works and why it should be replaced. If they feel a part could last longer they have told me their estimated life of when we will need to replace. Never trying to upsell.

Called and they were able to come the same day right before a holiday weekend. Craig is the technician who always services our house and knows the history was prompt, courteous and of course knowledgeable. He always gives plenty of options for repairs. Pros and Cons. He takes his time to answer any questions, I am sure I always put him behind schedule but he never seems rushed. The company has always gone the extra mile to maintain our "builder" systems that are showing their wear and tear way to early in their service life. Nice job again!

I had two licensed HVAC tech come in behind him and they said they found no leaks what so ever. One tech was a friend of mine and I had told him to give me a complete honest assessment. NASCAIR was doing an inspection for Keller Williams South Park branch. I should have known something was up when the tech and the agent for Keller Williams gave each other a bro-hug at the start of the inspection. I would not trust either one of these companies for any representation I have written the NC real estate board about these two companies.

Another service company was sent by the home warranty company and quoted us $600+ to replace a zone board that was not broken. We called Nascair because the company contracted by the home warranty company gave a explanation and quote that didn't seem quite right. The Nascair technician arrived on time, was professional and courteous, and did a diagnostic test on the board and discovered it was working fine. A wire was not connected correctly and was causing the furnace to not operate properly. The service technician explained and documented everything, and was thorough in fixing the problem. They saved us $500 by a correct diagnosis of the problem. I have a warm house and Nascair has a happy customer.

Sal and I am so sorry I don't remember the other technician's name were great, they were punctual, professional, honest. They adjusted my furnace and did not try to sell me services I did not need. These guys are the best. During 25 years of homeownership in Charlotte, we have used other heating/AC folks, all of whom gave us satisfactory service. Nascair, though, is the over and above winner in this category, and we will be using them from now on. The company is large enough to provide rapid response and have technicians skilled in every job, but small enough to give personal service. And, most important, the owners and their employees demonstrate a strong work ethic and high level of integrity. Jay and Mike and David all came out on the first visit to look at the areas where a second full HVAC system had been recommended by other HVAC companies. But NASCAIR recommended the use of energy efficient mini-splits. I had never heard of the product but I read its use globally and decided that it was exactly what we needed. The installation went smoothly and the area was left neat when they left. I so appreciate this recommendation of new technologies that are saving us a bundle. We are really enjoying our whole house now.
Description of Work: NASCAIR recommended I heat and air condition my downstairs den and bedroom with a DAIKIN mini-split. And they recommended a second DAIKIN mini-split for the sunroom (upstairs) we added over our garage. Both solutions have been wonderful and made both areas of our home so much more comfortable and usable. We turned the large sunroom into our dining room and our guests are comfortable. No other company had ever told us about the mini-split option but it worked perfectly for our problem areas. The mini-splits are so energy efficient too. Thanks NASCAIR!

My husband called Nascair on a referrel from another gentleman that worked on our old ac unit. The team was friendly punctual personable. We were going to get more than one quote but after my husband spent time with the service tech he decided to go with them. They did NOT try to upgrade the ac! they recommended exactly what we were told to go with. They did not try to sell us a new furnace. The techs let us know that the unit is fine. I would usethem again without a question!!!!

I called NASCAIR because my A/C unit wouldn't turn on. They came out the very next day and established that my contactor had shorted out, due to a colony of ants. The technician had the part with him and was able to repair the A/C with that visit. Three days later my A/C shorted out again, and NASCAIR came out the very next day, assessed the problem, ordered the part, and had me back up and running the following day. They are very punctual and easy to work with.

This is the second time in 3 years that we have worked with NASCAIR. They know what they are doing; they get it done when they say they will; and they don't "nickel and dime" about pricing. I did have one minor "pricing" issue with a 7-day thermostat that was not included in the original price. I got a call from Jay (the co-owner) who asked if they could bill me for the $100 cost rather than the installation contractor charge of $200. I agreed. But three years ago, they agreed to install a larger outside unit for no additional cost above their estimate. Seems like a fair company to me. We homeowners spend much of our lives trying to find reliable and trustworthy companies for our AC/Heating, plumbing, electrical, and auto repair needs. NASCAIR will be my AC/heating company for as long as I own my home. I will likely replace an upstairs unit in the next year or two. I'll be using NASCAIR, and I won't be needing "three quotes" from other companies. There is a feeling of security that occurs when a technician enters your home and says, "I remember this place..." That's how I feel about NASCAIR. They want to take care of me as much as I want them to! NASCAIR technicians are "earnest." I know that went out in the 1950s, but that's how they seem to me - earnest! And not to put it too lightly, but David, the company owner, probably saved my house from slow, incremental decay three years ago when he explained the importance of a dry basement - in clear, compelling language. He told me an affordable way to keep the house foundation dry, and it has worked!
Description of Work: Just before Christmas the heat went out. David and his crew were extremely professional and evaluated several options. We elected to replace the outside AC unit (18 yeras old) with a heat pump and the backup furnace (12 years old) with a new gas burning furnace. At that time of year, we expected delays but were surprised when NASCAIR completely replaced both the outside AC and the inside furnace the very next day. They hauled away the old debris and left the site spotless. Given my experience with NASCAIR, this is what I had expected, and I was not disappointed.
