A premier flooring company in the Carolinas, MyNewFloor.com was founded by a talented, design savvy professional with 15 years of experience in designing and installing a variety of flooring products. Our company is built on the principles of honesty, quality, craftsmanship, and a sincere effort to provide 100% customer satisfaction! You can be sure that only our professional, knowledgeable and experienced installers will complete all the work for you. We do not sub-contract any of our projects.
I am so happy we found and hired Carlo to handle our small project! The entire process, from hiring him to finishing the project, took less then we thought would take.Carlo came out and gave us a quote on the both rooms and it was right in line with other quotes we received. He was personable, clean, and understood exactly what we were going for. One day before the installation we had a leaking problem. Carlo understood the situation and we rescheduled for 2 days after the one had selected before. That was great since we were expecting something around a week or more. His team was great! They were polite and clean up after themselves. Besides the leaking we had no issues at all during the whole process. I would highly recommend United Flooring to anybody looking for a contractor for a big or small project. He is incredibly professional and keeps you up to date every step of the way so there are no surprises.

After rescheduling the first work date the tile team did arrive on the second scheduled date. The team spoke little or no english so it was difficult to communicate. They removed the toilet and demolished the existing tile and prepped the bathroom and laid out the selected new tile for grouting the next day. I was informed that day that I needed to schedule a plumber to come in and reinstall my toilet. Day 2 the crew came and laid grout on the floor, the quality of the work was very good. Day 3 My plumber came to reinstall the toilet and I was informed that the tile floor was too low below the flange and the toilet could not be reinstalled. I have a house built in the 70's with cast-iron standpipes, and the standpipe is not being adjusted or changed without major plumbing rework. I was shocked. The other tile work in my downstairs bathroom I had had done, and had shown to the United Flooring representatives and work man, had been laid significantly higher by at least 1/4" to 1/2" in that bath. Those workman laid that tile just below that flange so there was never a problem in that bath unlike this one! I called United flooring and spoke to Carlo that day and was informed they had done nothing wrong and it was my responsibility to have a plumber there to ensure the tile is laid at the right height. Really? How was I to know when they were going to show up! A plumber on call all day - dont think so. Also, This was never mentioned earlier or at any other time. I was made to feel I was in the wrong and that I was at fault, and they were totally in the right. I mentioned I understood that for them to come back and redo the work free of charge was unreasonable but that I was willing to negotiate and get the tile redone so neither of us felt we were losing. I was told Carlo would get back to me, he did the next day and told me they would redo the work. Madison called to reschedule for the 6/25/14. I took off from work stayed home, the crew never showed.. and never returned my calls. Later when I called back in August and again in October I was told Carlo would give me a call. He did not. Finally on October 25 I called one last time and asked that Carlo call me back. He did not but the office assistant did and informed me that Carlo had said they had done the work correctly and that they would not be coming back but they were willing to refund my money because I was dissatisfied with the job. To say the least Ive had a bathroom that does not function for nearly 5 months. Unfortunately, the quality of the work done was very good but I would never use them again because of they are over scheduled and have serious customer service issues.
Description of Work: The team installed a new tile floor in my very small guest bathroom (approximately 25 sq. feet).

They were very professional in every way. They confirmed the meeting time. Were on time. measured efficiently. Explained the process and various options. They use quality products and processes (based on my independent research). I was emailed a quote that same day. The price was competitive. For reasons I can not go into, I went with someone else. However, I would confidently call on United Flooring again.

We were overall very pleased with United Flooring. They provided a prompt estimate, accommodated the start time we requested, and were very courteous. Most importantly, they did a great job replacing the carpet in our master bedroom with hardwoods stained to perfectly match the floors on the rest of the first floor of our house. This was the second time we worked with Carlo--his company did a great job installing hardwoods in our last home a few years back. We'd definitely recommend them.

I am most pleased to tell you that I couldn't have been any happier with the job that United Flooring did on my kitchen installing tile. In addition, I paid a little extra and got some tile along the mirror and tub in my bathroom. This is the most capable, polite and courteous business I've ever dealt with! The owner, Carlo, got involved through the whole process. He called me immediately after the job was completed, because he wanted to be sure that I was completely satisfied.. I didn't know that any business would do so many of the right things to do an A+ job in 2014! These guys really deserve to have your business, and I guarantee you you'll be as pleased as I am, because they will make it that way.

When I called Carlo to come give me a quote on some work I was thrilled with what he told us. He was very knowledgeable. We had a few other quotes but I did not feel as comfortable with those companies as I did with Carlo. He was awesome and came in right when he said he would. His employees worked on the job and got it done faster than we expected too! Our first floor looks amazing with the new hardwood and tile. They cleaned up everything!!! Even some trash I had down there from before they cleaned it up and left it looking better than when they started. His workers were very respectful and kept everything clean while walking through my house. I will definitely use United Flooring for the future

I recently purchased a home and wanted to refinish the hardwood floors throughout the first floor of the house. Carlo Garcia was on time for his appointment to give me the estimate. He was knowledgeable about wood floors, explained to me the process, and answered my questions. Their estimate was a bit less than the other estimates I received and I believed they would do a good job. We scheduled the work to be done. On the first day, different teams arrived and they took my key to put in a lock box for easy access during the 4 days of work. One team looked at the existing shoe molding to see how it was done and make special arrangements for when they would return and install new shoe molding after the stairs were finished. Another team quickly got to work sanding a small area to test 4 different stains so I could choose the one I wanted. All was well. I stopped by the next day, no one was their, but I peaked in the windows and the stain looked great! I was surprised that all the lights were on in my house. The third day I also stopped by to peak and again all my lights were on. I figured that it may be difficult to get the lights with the wet polyurethane. On the fourth (last) day I emailed the sales manager and office manager to find out when I should meet someone at the house since it was the last day. They got back to me a few hours later and said that I didn't need to. On the fifth day, I went to the house to finally see the finished floors -- and I was shocked to see that they were not finished. The floors were very rough in some areas and very smooth and glossy in other areas. It was Saturday, but I called and left a voicemail for the sales manager. He was not able to come that day, but sent one of his refinishers to check the floors. The refinisher tried to convince me the floors were supposed to be like that! I knew better. I thought that the floors might need another coat of polyeurethane, but wasn't sure. The sales manager Carlo came to the house on Monday to see the floors himself and he agreed with me the floors were not finished. The refinishers came back, buffed/lightly sanded the floors and recoated them. Overall, the floors are much better. They have the same glossiness throughout the surface and are smooth. There were still a few problems -- marks/bits of brush in the finish near the front door, bubbles in the finish in the kitchen, and a support bar for the shelving in a coat closet was stuck in the polyurethane. They came back and attempted to fix those spots. In the kitchen, the bubbles in the finish are gone, but in the process there are now bits of brush. I am going to get a rug. In addition to these problems, I found sawdust in my yard and on my deck and bits of wood shoe molding scattered in the yard and driveway. I asked for a discount because of all the problems and they offered me 15% off the balance (less than $200). I took it, but didn't feel it was enough.

United Flooring from a sales and service perspective has been very professional and responsive. From a workmanship perspective I believe the quality of my installation is inferior. I "supposedly" had a Mannington rep come to the house to take a sample of the laminate to send to Mannington to inspect for any defect in the laminate itself, have I have not heard anything. I called Mannington to check on the claim. They could not find any claim field in my name. United Flooring sent someone out to replace one board that has started to bend/chip. United Flooring has responded to all my calls and been very nice. BUT, the bottom line I'm not happy with my floor. If anyone would like to see my floor... if you are thinking of using United, I'd be more than happy for you to come and look at my installation. Call me. 704 502 8442.

They took the old flooring out and put in the new tile. The tile looks good but when they put the molding back in it didn't quite fit. I told them that I was willing to pay extra for them to work on the molding issues but they never responded. The tile work was perfect and beautiful I just wish they would have been more responsive in my attempts to contact them about the molding.

On April 10, 2014 I purchased for $349 a Big Deal for a new ceramic floor of up to 40 square feet for our laundry room from United Flooring Group plus $18.75 for each additional square foot. Carlo Garcia came to our house, measured the laundry room, and on April 28, 2014 submitted an estimate of $293.75 for an additional 13 square feet for a total charge of $642.75. The tile was installed on June 3, 2014. About 10 weeks after installation of the tile I felt something cutting into my feet and discovered that the grout had broken down and was leaving the grout line between the tiles and the sill of the door frame leading to the garage. I immediately photographed the problem. and on August 27, 2014 I sent a short and polite email to United Flooring, attaching the photos, asking that the next time they are anywhere near our house to "...please contact us to make arrangements to fix this defect and we will arrange to be home." I called September 4, 2014 and left a message regarding the unanswered email of August 27, 2014. This started a week of back and forth voicemail messages. Finally, on Monday morning, September 15th I could politely say that we "talked" although anyone hearing the call would probably call it an argument. Carlo Garcia made it clear that he would not send anyone to repair the problem; that no repair would last; that he did nothing wrong with the tile installation and that the problem was my fault. He demanded to know the age of the house [it was built in 1995] and blamed the problem on the fact that there is door in the laundry room to the garage; that there must be something wrong with the door frame, and that I step on the door sill going in or out of the garage. I pointed out to him that he came to the house to measure the floor of the laundry room; entered and measured the laundry room and saw the door to the garage, and that if the job couldn't be done satisfactorily he should not have accepted it! He blew up at this comment and became very condescending, insisting that the problem was not his fault, and immediately offered to return all my money if I signed a confidentiality agreement specifically including Angie's List. I was not looking for my money back and in filed a Complaint with Angie's List. I just wanted a lasting repair! I just wanted United Flooring to live up to its contract - no more, no less. On Nov. 12, 2014 I was informed by Angie's List that the problem could not be resolved and United Flooring will not even attempt to fix the problem.

It was great. We’re very pleased with the job they did. They were very professional, and it was perfect. We had them install the new floor in a bathroom. It took 1.5 days to do. One man came the first day to lay the tile. The next day, he brought his son to install the grout. They let us look at it when they were done to make sure we were satisfied.

We called United Flooring Group to see about sanding and staining our upstairs to match what we have downstairs as we are selling our home. The previous owners sanded the floors but never got around to getting them stained and neither did we. Had this done while we were away. Once we returned and saw the floors we were VERY pleasantly surprised! Not only does the upstairs look good, it is outstanding work and they match beautifully. Now we are wondering if we should move...(joke)! I would encourage you to try United Flooring. They are reliable, neat and tidy plus the end result will please you. Everyone I talked with at United Flooring was very polite and kind, the crew was very nice and professional. Thank you all you guys and well done!!!

Carlo from United Flooring Group is an easy guy to work with and very knowledgeable about flooring. We have a 100 year old house with 100 year hardwood floors...Carlo quoted, stuck to his price and completed the job as promised. The crew was very professional, highly skilled and detail orientated. After they refinished the floors they send a professional cleaning crew to clean the entire house!!!! How wonderful is that? Our floors look fantastic, it's unbelievable what they were able to do .... I will highly recommend United Flooring Group to all my friends and family.

Overall they were very nice. There was a confusion because they thought we had canceled. They then said that they had me confused with another customer. After that a visit was made to my house to measure and discuss different tiles. Because we are in no big hurry we did not schedule a date for the work to be done thinking that we had plenty of time before the deal expired. On July 19th I got a message that they needed to cancel my deal. When I called them back I was told that they had too much response from their Angie's List offer and they did not have the manpower to cover it. In my opinion there should be a cap on how many Angie's List should sell so that a company does not get overwhelmed. For instance, if a company thinks they can handle 50 deals, after 50 are sold the offer should end.

Carlo came over for the initial consultation and measurements I believe in April. He said the coupon doesn't expire so there is no rush. The next week, Madison called to schedule my appt, so I felt rushed. She said they wanted to finish all the Angie's list jobs by june or july. We scheduled for June 25. All I needed was a small bathroom floor tiled, I would remove the toilet and vanity as I was going to purchase a new one and wanted the entire floor to be tiled. On June 20, Madison called to let me know they were no longer doing the Angie's list deal. I informed her that I completely demolished my bathroom in preparation for this job. All Carlo would have to do is to come in and lay tile. Should have been his easiest job. They blamed angies list for "selling too many" deals. They were overwhelmed. If they didn't rush everyone and these jobs then they wouldn't feel overwhelmed. Then said they were spending too much money out of their pockets on these jobs, that it wasnt worth it anymore. Im not sure why they were spending their money, if they allowed $349 for a job, then they should be able to determine when they hit that price and when they need to charge the customer extra money because the job was bigger than allowed, or if there was damage that needed repairs then that should come out of the customers pocket. Anyways, Fri June 20 Madison was supposed to inform Carlo that I was the one tearing up by bathroom for this job and see if he would still do it. I never heard from him. I called Monday June 23 and spoke with Carlo about my situation and he said he would have to get permission from a supervisor? and see if it was ok for him to still do the job and he was supposed to call me back later that day, never heard from him. I called him Tues June 24 to follow up, he said he was "still waiting" and would let me know when he hears. I went out of town wed to sunday. Monday 6/30 I called Carlo, he was "still waiting to hear." I told him forget it, i'll get the refund and find someone else. I don't have time to keep waiting to hear when I don't have a bathroom to use. They have totally screwed me over.

After several tries we finally got them to come out and do an estimate. It ended up that it would cost more to do our kitchen floor than I had thought. We have been trying ever since to get them to come out and estimate what it would cost to do the bathrooms instead (bathrooms were an option in the deal). They will not return our call unless we track them down. Once they actually gave me a day that someone would come out but no one showed up. Every time I call I get the excuse that someone is in a meeting or that they have been overwhelmed with the volume of responses (in which case, they should not have advertised if they were not set up to handle it). This has gone on for so long now that I just want my money back.

I did not wind up using the deal. I spoke to the receptionist numerous times trying to get this set up. They did come out to do an estimate but then I had trouble setting up an appointment to begin the actual work. We finally made an appointment for this upcoming Thursday & Friday but then the owner called and left a message saying that he wasn't going to be able to honor the deal and to call Angie's List for a refund. It's been very frustrating.
