 + -1 moreHad to help Mr. Martin remove clock from case on 1st visit & he had to borrow my tools to do it so he could take it to his shop. This process started in Nov.2018. After a month of no communication I called him. He claimed he had an unscheduled hernia operation & was also planning on an overseas trip so it would be late December before he could get the clock reassembled. He informed me in early January 2019 he could bring clock back & reassemble. He was scheduled for a 10:30-11:00 am appointment. Early on the day he was to arrive he had to inform me he would be delayed till 2 pm. Upon arrival he worked on clock for 1 hour then informed he has worked on it too long & can not put clock back in case. He said he will not charge & just left with clock in pieces. In retrospect I would classify him as an amateur at best & would not recommend him. He is, in my opinion, totally inept.

 + -1 morePerfectly. Mr. Martin is very prompt, professional, and prepared. He took the clock apart, found the problem. He ended up having to go back to the shop to make a replacement part for it, which he did very quickly.

 + -1 moreI bought the clock to sit on the mantelpiece. It didn't work when I bought it. He cleaned it and got it functioning. After I paid for it and got it home, maybe a week or so later it stopped working. I brought it back to him and he fixed it again without any additional charge. It has worked ever since. I think he just cleaned it really well. I don't think there was anything broken. He also appraised it which I didn't request, but I think that was a good thing to do.

 + -1 moreSteve was excellent! He came when he said he would, disassembled the clock, took it back to his workshop and called when he was finished. He estimated it would take about 3 weeks, and it did. The clock is now striking correctly and and we're happy to have it back.
Description of Work: Antique grandfather clock. Steve restrung the weights, cleaned the mechanisms and repaired the part that was causing the striking to be off by one stroke for 12 hours each day. He seems very knowledgeable about antique clocks.

 + -1 moreWe left a message for Mr. Martin and he called back promptly and made an appointment to come to our house and look at our clock. He arrived on time and realigned the weight, that was stuck and made sure the rest of the clock mechanism, was working properly. He lubricated the mechanism and told us several things about the clock and mechanism, that we were unaware of. He seemed very knowledgeable about our clock mechanism. He even gave a discount, for Angie's List members.
Description of Work: We had a weight ,that was sticking on our grandfather clock. Mr Martin came to our house, realigned the weight, made sure everything was working properly and lubricated the clockworks.

 + -1 moreWhat a great experience! I e-mailed the company and received a call back within a short time to schedule a service appointment. Steve was able to come the next morning. He was prompt and very courteous. He was able to get the clock running quickly and taught me how to use it properly (the clock was inherited from a family member). He was also very informative on some of the unique features of our clock. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

 + -1 moreHe arrived at the scheduled time, removed the movement, took it back to his shop to examine the problem. Called us within a few days with the problem and gave us the choice of repair or replace. He returned with the new movement, installed it and charged exactly what he had estimated.
Description of Work: Grandfather clock about 20 yrs old not working at all. Myers Park Clock installed a completely new movement. Saved $100 by installing new movement rather than repairing original movement. He gave us the choice.

Description of Work: Came to my home to work on a grandfather clock that is 100 plus years old. He had to take the works to his shop to complete the repair, which was done in just a week!
