Was promised a quote delivery date 4 different times over 2 months- it was never delivered and we just gave up on trying to get one. It is obvious that this group does not have the capacity to deliver current requests which also makes me believe that execution would also be in question. We have decided to go with another company and we are very disappointing given previous reviews.

From our design approval, until the final installation the process went very smoothly. Having their professional opinions along with our opinions, they made sure that we were satisfied. We look forward to working with Morgan Landscape Group in the future, and cannot wait to start our next big project with them. We have already been recommending them, and will continue to do so. They do a great job. They show up, they clean your yard and they have a full wide range of services that they offer.

The first meeting with Mark Morgan went well, I thought. His company provided planning services along with the actual landscape work. This turned out to be part of the problem. I described in detail what I wanted out of the plan. I wanted a simple to maintain plan with local plants and not to increase but decrease the size of the beds. After the first meeting getting Mark on the phone or to even return a call was next to impossible. He seemed to fall off the face of the earth. When I finally did get him he stated that he was extremely busy and would get to my project soon. After a couple of more go rounds he finally produced a plan. First problem was that the plan was hand drawn and not in AutoCAD. Any changes to the plan would result in high revision costs. This did not seem to bother Mark. The plantings also where out of line with what I had explicitly requested. And instead of decreasing the size of the beds, he increased them. At this point it appeared that Mark was more concerned with the actual landscape work than with creating a plan that matched my needs. He kept on saying that I could apply the cost of the planning work to the actual landscape work, ?if he did the work?. At this point in time I decided to dump the sunk costs and go with someone else. I would be very wary of this contractor. His actual landscape work may be good, I cannot say, but his business practices and professionalism has a lot to be desired.

They were very professional, good and punctual. There was nothing really where they could have improved their services on. We would use them again in the future.

We have had a big problem with flooding in our back yard for years due to an old storm water sewer that empties at the edge of our back yard. We were able to obtain a grant from the Soil and Water Conservation District to help pay for a rain garden that should solve the flooding problem. Based on the grant, we had to finish the project by the end of October and we could only install NC native plants. Morgan was recommended by the landscape architect we hired to design the rain garden. She had worked with them before. Morgan was one of the few contractors we found who had experience installing residential rain gardens. Their original bid was much higher than our budget. They worked with us to reduce the cost so we could do some of the work ourselves and still meet the requirements of the grant. Also some of the specified native plants were not available. We will get them later or find substitutes. The project supervisor, Cecil came out a few days before to confirm the location and shape of the garden. He was very professional and explained everything that they were going to do. He worked closely with the landscape architect, Laurel, to verify the design elements. The crew arrived on-time and completed the job within three days. There were some problems with the installation that they immediately addressed. They excavated the garden much deeper than required by the plans and the finished surface was much lower than it was designed. When the owner came and checked the site he noticed the problem immediately and it was fixed with out holding up the completion. The crew kept the site very clean. They swept up the driveway so that you could hardly tell that they had been there. Overall we are very pleased with their work. Their mistakes in over-excavating will actually benefit the end product. It will provide more capacity to soak up runoff water. I might have rated quality a "B" only because the initial work did not match the design. However the end product was high quality. We had a one inch rain storm the second night of the project. Although it was not quite finished, the garden soaked up all the runoff and showed no signs of flooding. Morgan came by once their part of the project was completed and checked to make sure we were satisfied. He also offered quite a bit of advice for other areas of our yard. If you need a rain garden installed, we think Morgan's crew would be a good choice.

The people were slow and did poor work requiring redoing of portions of the project. Follow-up on the punch list has been very poor or non-existent. Promises were made but not carried out. Mexicans who could not communicate in English would be sent out and we could not explain the problems in detail and they could not communicate what they were doing. There was little, if any, communication from their corporate offices. Mark or appropriate representatives seldom returned phone calls. We have started losing grass and plants due to their lack of follow-up. As much as we like Mark as an individual, we will not continue to use his firm again due to the lack of responsiveness.

WE HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS COMPANY OVER THE PAST 6 MONTHS. THEY HAVE NOT TRIMMED SHRUBBERY WHEN NEEDED. WHEN ASKED TO DO AN EXTRA JOB, THEY TOLD ME THEY WERE COMING OUT ON AT LEAST TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS. I CALLED SEVERAL TIMES TO FOLLOW UP, BUT IT WAS NEVER DONE. MOST IMPORTANTLY, WE HAD DAMAGE FROM LIGHTNING AND NEEDED OUR SPRINKLER SYSTEM CONTROLLER REPLACED. THEY TOOK OVER A WEEK (WHILE OUR YARD WAS TURNING BROWN) TO COME OUT. IT HAS BEEN OVER A MONTH AND WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE INVOICE FOR IT. IT WAS NEEDED FOR OUR INSURANCE CLAIM. WE'VE MADE AT LEAST 20 PHONE CALLS ASKING FOR THE INVOICE. SEVERAL TIMES I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD ''CALL YOU BACK'' BUT I WAS NEVER CALLED BACK. THEN I WAS TOLD IT WAS SENT BUT IT HAS BEEN OVER A WEEK AND I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT. IT'S HOLDING UP OUR INSURANCE CLAIM. IT'S BEEN READY TO SEND FOR A MONTH EXCEPT FOR THIS ONE BILL.

WE WERE 3 WEEKS AWAY FROM MOVING INTO OUR NEW HOME AND THEY PRESENTED A PLAN FOR US, GAVE US CHOICES AND OPTIONS. WE WORKED WITH OUR BUILDER AND WERE ABLE TO GET IRRIGATION, GRASS AND EVERYTHING INSTALLED WITHIN THREE WEEKS DURING THEIR BUSY TIME. THEY ARE GOOD LISTENERS. WE WORKED WITH CECIL DEAN, AND WE GOT EXACTLY WHAT WE WANTED.
