It went very well from start to finish. If you are not completely satisfied with something, Mr. Morales and team go the extra mile to make sure you are happy. Immediately after the work was completed, I have had numerous people on my street stop and compliment my driveway. Several have asked for Mr. Morales’ contact information, and I do not hesitate in recommending Morales Concrete for any and all of your concrete and paving needs.
Description of Work: I highly recommend Morales Concrete for any and all of your concrete and paving needs. From start to finish, he and his team were prompt, easy to work with, and always stuck to the original estimate. Morales Concrete’s prices are fair and comprehensive. You will definitely get what you pay for and much more! I contacted Morales Concrete via Angie’s list, and within the hour Mr. Morales scheduled a time to come out and give his estimate on the multiple projects I wanted done. I was having some drainage and erosion problems in my backyard, and when it rained, sediment would wash down from a slope and from under the deck, and ultimately wash everything down my driveway. My old drive way was cracked asphalt and there would be pockets of mud all around. Mr. Morales immediately assessed and took care of the erosion problem. I had a few ideas regarding retaining walls and drainage, and Mr. Morales was able to take my ideas and add innovate, yet aesthetic, solutions to them. He put up two small retaining walls – one blocking the sediment from washing from under my deck, and another one on the other side of the slope. He also connected drainage pipes from the gutter to a drain connected to the slope to push excess water through pipes under the driveway. Concrete was laid over the drainage system, and it was laid in a way to ensure any excess water washed down the driveway. I no longer have problems with the drainage or erosion. The first section of my driveway was completely dug out, widened, and concreted. My carport was temporarily moved while the concrete was curing, and his team came back to put it back in place. This was all phase one. The total cost of Phase one was $6,600, including an additional concrete patio I had laid to be used as a grilling area. With phase two, I wanted to expand my driveway and cut into what I considered dead space to the right of my old narrow asphalt driveway. This dead space was cut out with a Bobcat, and an expansive retaining wall was added. I had a few ideas one what I wanted, but again Mr. Morales was able to provide me some examples, and ultimately I went with his recommendations. This project involved the retaining wall, digging out the old driveway, pouring and expanding the new driveway too roughly by 20 x 60 feet. My new double car driveway replaced the dead space and maximized my lot, as well as added an extremely clean and professional look to my home. While this was not the most inexpensive endeavor to undertake, costing $9,500, it was worth every penny spent. After that project was finished, I immediately contacted Morales Concrete to replace an old retaining wall I built in my early attempt to correct my erosion problem. Originally, the Morales concrete team concreted around the retaining wall I put up, which had had shifted closer towards my driveway after only two years, and connected the new retaining wall to my existing retaining wall. After the new wall was put in, it looked significantly better, and I asked Mr. Morales what it would take to take out the old wall and match the new one. Keep in mind, they would have to cut out the old wall because it was now concreted in. He told me it was going to be a lot harder because the concrete was already laid, but gave me a great price, and his team even came out on a Saturday to do the work. For this extra job, I was charged mainly the cost of materials, and small fee for two of his team members. The cost was an extra $1,700.
