Description of Work: Hired this service to replace outdoor security light and replace 4 dead outdoor halogen bulbs that we can no longer climb ladder to replace ourselves. Total $804. Excellent service in every respect. I thought charges were high ($86 each to replace the bulbs) but we had no alternative. A senior discount or ""multiple bulb rate"" would have been nice. When the office called to set up the appointment, we were offered a special price to cover multiple calls throughout the year, but I hadn't met anyone or observed their service so I did not take the ""deal"". I would have preferred that the service provider who did the work had been able to offer me the alternate ""plan"". The service provider who came was very professional and knowledgeable, although he definitely worked ""by the book"". It was not like hiring an independent contractor. "

Description of Work: We requested a replacement of a GFI that wouldn't reset in the garage. He said he had to do a "full diagnostic and that would cost $325.00". |We just had power washing done and apparently the GFI got wet and tripped. We decided to dry it out with a hair dryer and then try to reset it. It worked. We had advised him of the power washing but he made no other suggestion. We let him go.....the price was ridiculous!

He "found" other things such as replacing the entire circuit breaker box. By the time he finished, the bill was over $6,000. And some of the things he did, such as replace an outside light, worked only a month before it blew out again.

Description of Work: Service I bought was $99 for $250 worth of electrical work. However, $250 was the cost to hang 1 chandelier on a 12' ceiling! They removed 3 chandeliers, and a hall light fixture. Then hung 3 different chandeliers and a stained glass hall fixture. The electrician was very patient and professional and was here for 4 hours (I have 12 foot ceilings) I bought their annual maintenance program for an additional $99.00 for an annual systems check. I was assured that it would be in the computer and I would be contacted. Almost a year & a half later when Angies's list send an inquiry as to how my experience was w/Mr. Sparky, it prompted me to remember that I never got my systems check I paid for. I called Mr. Sparky and they did send 2 guys out the following day and they did a very thorough systems check w/recommendations. So, very prompt & professional, but a little pricey.

Description of Work: The electrician did a routine check of my electrical system. I did have some concerns about some lights flickering, and he explained the cause of that. He was very detailed when checking the inside and as efficient with checking the outside. Overall I was pleased.

Description of Work: Although the Mister Sparky technician came promptly to my home in the middle of the night due to an unanticipated power outage, this is where my satisfaction with this organization ends. After viewing the electrical panel the service rep quote a price of $5000.00 to replace an electrical panel. We opted to use another firm and were charged 996.00 for work done during the emergency service call. I have since reviewed the charges for parts that I was given and feel their prices are way out of line with industry standards. In addition the charge for replacing the panel was double what 3 other vendors on Angie's list quoted me. I would not use this vendor in the future.
