It went good. We were happy with it. We decided to become like customers with them and we were prepaid to get whole house inspection details which we haven't set up yet.

Provider did what was expected... and, of course, as is typical of having a whole house inspection and in the interests of continuing business, one can expect that not everything is going to be "perfect." However, that said, the suggestions made were appropos and will be incorporated in due time. The provider looked at the "big picture" as well as the "little picture." He was thorough and knowledgeable. Also, the company was very responsive and professional as to appointment time and confirmation. I would recommend this company. Just know that while they are there (as part of the Big Deal) to inspect things that there will always be something to fix! But, there is no pressure to do that on the spot or even with them. Consequently, the deal was well worth the money and time.

I was not all that happy with the service. He did not test the lanterns to ensure they were working properly. As far as mounting the lanterns on the wall he did a nice job. The other positive was that he was here on time. I called them when my lights were not working and the installer did not come out to address the issue. I was able to fix it myself to make the lights work correctly. I would not recommend them. After reading Mr. Wise's response, I need to clear up a few minor details. As discussed with Mr. Wise, yes, adjustments are necessary sometimes at night, but as you agreed with me over the phone, black tape can be used to cover the photo cell to perform this procedure. In addition, these lights have a test switch that allows you to perform this function anytime. When the installer, departed the property, the lights were not functioning properly and were switched to the test mode. Thank you for the service. As your jingle states, "You don't have to put up with any Malarkey, call 888-8-Sparky." Your response is full of just that... "Malarkey".

Technician arrived on time and was professional. Big Deal advertisement was a bit misleading, the photo showed a roof mounted attic fan, not a gable fan. Technician referred to the fine print of the deal, and performed the work in a professional and timely manner. Technician performed an assessment of the electrical system of the house and provided estimates for additional service. Overall a positive experience.

Our old circuit breaker box, which was a fire hazard, has been replaced. The lights we needed replacing, many over 8 feet up, were replaced. Two small lights over the stove, which were out but we couldn't replace were replaced. I'm quite pleased with all the work done and would recommend them to someone else. I do, however, think that their charges were high for the work done.

The technician was very nice and professional. I'm just fustrated that the fees and coupon are misleading. Nowhere does it state the deal only covers diagnostic and visitation fees and no actual work will be done.

Paul was very thorough and explained everything to me as he went along. I was a bit frustrated in that the project seemed to be growing in scope by the minute, but I think unraveling the problem and determining a solution was a challenge. Paul was very professional and took the time I needed to understand what was going on as he went along. I would used Sparky again and I would request Paul.

Very professional and on time. I felt the price for the fan and installation was a bit high for what was installed. After inspecting our 1974 home the tech recommended replacing/upgrading pretty much everything. We recently moved into the home and had a thorough home inspection and nothing was mentioned or brought to our attention needing to be replaced or upgraded. I felt that I paid for someone to come out and try to sell me something than installing a cheap attic fan.

He gave me good advice. I would use them again. He was very thorough.

I intended to use Mr. Sparky to have a dryer hook-up cable routed from a breaker box to an adjoining room. I am almost exclusively using A rated contractors from Angie's List to have any work done, and have had excellent experience. Mr. Sparky is an exception. I scheduled an appointment for Tuesday and mentioned that I would like to use an Angie's List Big Deal coupon to get this small job done. I was told that the technician would call me 30 minutes prior to arriving at the house. No one called or appeared at the house on Tuesday as scheduled so I called back on Wednesday only to learn that my file was empty and no technician was scheduled to come by. We scheduled another appointment for Friday. I was also informed that there was a $49 fee for the technician to show up. Again no one showed up for this appointment. Therefore, I have given Mr. Sparky an F rating for their failure to appear, failure to respond to customer requests, & for charging fees for quoting jobs.

He arrived 9 a.m. in the morning and he was done just after 9 p.m. at night. It was tremendous. The technician they sent out was absolutely unbelievable. I was really impressed with them. They came out and checked all our electricity and then they started the work. We contacted them on a Monday after purchasing it and they were here on a Tuesday. I think they gave me $240 off on their regular charges. Before we started he said this is what's it's going to be. For this type of ceiling fan, this is how much you pay. They gave me a price list and the charges were exactly according to the price list even though he stayed here for 12 hours.

First they wanted $50 to come to the house which does not come off repair. I complained and they waived that fee. next they wanted over $350 for each fan install . Home depot charges $179 for this service. They reduced it to $219 when I told them home depot cost. he also turned off my a /c at the fuse box and did not turn it back on. Also put stickers all over my fuse box , like I would ever call them again.

They came out and worked in another area of the house, connecting other appliance to the panel heavy duty, and charged us a lot more than any other company, and well above the Big Deal purchase. The next time we tried to use our microwave, it wouldn't turn on. I had a service man come in to look at it, and he discovered that outlet was not working. He said it had to have come from something in the panet itself. He said someone disconnected something. I would not use them again based on price alone. They came in with a clipboard with pre-printed prices for each job, regardless of what the job entails, they just stick to the category price. They don't estimate price by looking at the time the job will take and materials needed. CONCERNING THE MR SPARKY "PRICED BY THE JOB/NOT THE HOUR .....THAT IS NOT CLEAR...AT ALL BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO DISTINCTION BETWEEN LARGE AND SMALL ....JUST "GENERAL /GLOBAL CATEGORIES ""....WHICH TEND TO SCREW OVER THE SMALL JOB CUSTOMER AND ALLOW THEM TO HIRE INEXPERIENCED PEOPLE WHO CANNOT LOOK AT A JOB AND ESTIMATE WHAT IS REALLY INVOLVED .....SO THEY DUMMY DOWN THE ESTIMATING BY INFLATING THE GLOBAL CATEGORIES ON THE LAMINATED CHART TO COVER THEIR ASSES .I WATCHED THE ENTIRE TIME THEY WORKED ....WHILE THE OWNER (I FOUND OUT LATER )OF THE COMPANY ...POSING AS AN ASSISTANT.COACHED THE INEXPERIENCED WORKER.....THEY ALSO TRIED TO HUSSLE WORK THEY CALL UPGRADES THE ENTIRE TIME THEY WERE THERE ......THEY CALL IT A SURVEY ....BUT IT IS A SCAM .....ANY 35 YEAR OLD HOME COULD BE UPGRADED TO CODE .......BUT YOU ARE GRANDFATHERED IN UNLESS DOING A MAJOR JOB .THEY TRY TO SPOOK YOU INTO THINKING YOU ARE IN SOME DANGER BY NOT DOING THESE UPGRADES ......I AM IN MY LATE 60'S ....GREW UP WITH HOUSES BEING BUILT AND RENNOVATED AROUND ME ......AND HAVE HAD THAT DONE FOR ME AS WELL .I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH AN AGGRESSIVE SCARE SCAM BEFORE DISGUISED AS ""A SURVEY""......

After giving me a free electrical panel inspection, he gave me the quote for the work. It was a first TOO expensive. I negotiated a MUCH lower price for the work involved. He did though forget the $79 fee for just coming out. I found that okay BUT this should have been up front when I first made the appt. He was here for 3+ hours doing the work. After all is said and done, I was pleased.

The same as above. Very professional and customer service friendly. Since my late husband was a journeyman electrician, I enjoyed the visit.

The tech called ahead, and was on time, and very courteous. However, I was appalled that the estimate was over $5600. Dropping the outlet 2' alone was over $400(which would take about an hour to do). Please call another company before OR after calling Mr Sparky - as electrician's charge(on average) about $75 per hour so at Mr. Sparky's estimate of $5600 - he would have had to be here almost 75 hours!!! Also be warned - there is a $49 service call fee that comes out of your $99 Angie's List voucher when they get here! The estimate received for the original 4 items was approximately $3900. I received the exact same service from an alternate Angie's List company for $550.

They did an excellent job. Their customer service was very good, from the first time I got them on the phone. They actually explained what was going on so that I knew what they were working with. I had some damage to my wiring, and they showed it to me and took their time walking around and explaining it to me. I am now waiting for my insurance company to tell me what all we can do to fix it. They were able to do a few smaller repairs while they were out.

The technician was professional and honestly did a terrific job on fixing the electrical issues in my kitchen as well. I do not have the price paid in total in front of me as I write this, however the electrician was extremely helpful regarding my needs and financial situation. I am extremely satisfied with the service. A notation though for others is to consider the "after hours" or weekend fee being higher than normal operating hours.

Rusty Wise who owns Wise Electric as well as Mister Sparky's is a top notch electrical company. His staff of Brandon and Paul did an excellent job for me ensuring they advised me what should and should not occur when drilling through sheetrock and brick to maintain excellent structural support on an external brick wall with no attic above. They were thorough and careful to maintain structural integrity yet providing the receptacle needed for mounting a flat screen television above a brick fireplace. I so appreciated the fact the estimator and work was all completed within 24 hours of my call, and giving up their Saturday to ensure I could stay on schedule with the other contractors in getting the television mounted. I had used Rusty's team of electricians previously and knew the quality of their work was superior. Highly recommend!!
