Joey and his crew of 4 other movers arrived in time and loaded my 5BR home in about 4.5 hours. Had to make a second trip for a few remaining items, and we're completely done by 8pm.

Representative was nice, polite, professional and worked with us on price. Ultimately we chose to go with another company because of their packing process.

Joey and his movers were excellent - they were careful with my belongings and packed and moved everything as if my belongings were theirs. They were extremely friendly and easy to work with. I had several antiques and crystal chandeliers and they were packed and moved better than I could have hoped for. There was no damage of my belongings with one exception - lamp shade was dirty/soiled - but he paid to have that replaced.

Joey and his team did an excellent job of helping us with our move. His team actually arrived a few minutes early than agreed upon and got right to work. They worked efficiently and everything was delivered as expected.

These guys were great last-minute stand-ins when my expected help fell through. I hired them to help me get the contents of my house into a POD, and when it was obvious it wasn't all going to fit, we were able to arrange to use their truck to get the remaining items to a storage unit. The guys were prompt (actually, early), courteous, and industrious. I will definitely be calling them when it's time to unload the POD and empty the storage unit..

Move went very smoothly and took less time than anticipated. Movers were polite and professional and provided additional assistance in areas other than just moving my furniture. Helped me set up my cable for tv at no additional cost to me.

The quality was good. The workers were very courteous. They came in and came out. They were very good, and didn't break anything, intact, wrapped perfectly.

From first phone call to Joey (owner of the company) all the way to the end of the move, Joey handled everything with competence and professionalism. He came to our house and looked through all our belongings and gave us a competitive quote instead of an hourly quote. We had a lot of stuff in our house and they worked extremely hard for almost two full days. During the move, Joey always pointed out damage on furniture prior to moving it so we all were certain of the condition of the items. We really appreciated his communication during the move. A TV stand was broken while in the truck and Joey not only immediately let me know that it happened, he took care of the stand by buying a replacement part and coming back to our house the following week to fix the stand himself. We hope to not move anytime in the near future, but if we do, we will certainly include Metropolitan Moving in those plans.

I don't think that I could have had a smoother, stress-free move than the one I had today with Metropolitan Moving. The 3 man team was extremely professional and efficient in loading and unloading our belongings. The guys worked quickly but carefully with a high degree of focus and energy. Especially considering this company had the most competitive pricing of all the companies I called for quotes, I was blown away by the high quality of the service they provided.

The best experience with movers I have ever had...'can do' attitude, easy to work with, and lessened the stress of a big move!

Joe and his crew arrived at 9:30 a.m. and worked until 6:00 p.m, they were very professional. The weather that day was very hot and muggy, but the men kept an good attitude . I had a ton of stuff to move from 2 freezers, furniture ,appliances, out door plants, trees, patio furniture and probable over 200 boxes. The boxes went into storage, they made sure to stack them from heaviest to lightest, plus kept them neat and orderly, further more then ones I open had nothing broken. I would highly recommend this company and plan to use them when I move again in a few months.

Joey and his team were fantastic. Arrived on time and ready to start. The team was very professional and handled the furniture like it was their own. They were very careful taking apart the furniture and packing everything up in the trucks. At the new location, they put down pads and very carefully moved everything in and set the furniture back up again. It was amazing. I had several antique pieces that were definitely handled with care. At the end of the day, we had beds set up, couches arranged and were practically moved in except for unpacking our boxes. We will definitely be using them again for our next move.

Joeys and his team moved some items from my home to a storage unit. I can't say enough about how professional and what a great job they did. They were on time and never rested for a minute even thought they were working on an hourly rate. I would use them again in a minute.

Excellent. I had called and made a reservation with another company (see New Beginnings Movers) who didn't do what I hired them to do. Metropolitan made special arrangements with their schedule and moved me in a timely manner and with professionalism. This company is skilled with a fair price

Joey and his team were great. They arrived on time and moved swiftly and safely to get both of our bedroom sets into their truck. My fiance and I moved from two different houses into one condo unit all within 3 miles of each other. They were very respectful and professional. They arrived with 3 men which greatly sped up the process. For the most part, one person stayed in the back of the truck and spent time wrapping our belongings in furniture pads and strapping the big items to secure them for transportation. This really sped things up because the other two were back and forth moving boxes, TVs, and furniture. Our belongs weren't all nicely boxed up like they probably should have been, but they didn't skip a beat (or make us feel unprepared). They had all of the furniture pads, dollys, shrink wrap, and equipment you could need (they are prepped for much bigger moving operation that I needed.) They even took apart and put back together our bed with their powertools.This is the first time I have ever hired movers, and because of my experience (and the cost) of Joey and his team, I will never move myself again. It's easily justifiable when you consider the cost of renting a truck for the day, the insurance, renting furniture pads, dollys, and gas as the alternative. We payed a totally reasonable $360 for about 3.5 hours after the 10% Angie's list coupon and tip. All things considered I probably only spent about $150 more than I would have if I did it myself. It would have been much shorter if they didn't have to wait on my buildings solitary elevator between each trip at the condo. Well worth the money when you consider all the hassles of moving yourself (8 hours +, inconveniencing friends, setting up truck rentals, picking up the truck, dropping off before the deadline, filling up the tank just right, multiple trips, stress of securing everything myself, no insurance if I screw something up, the sweat, the exhaustion, and the sheer frustration of the whole process.) They were great, I will DEFINITELY be using them again. Thanks for taking out the dread out of moving Joey!

We were very pleased with the service provided by Metropolitan Moving! We contacted them for a free on site estimate. Joey quickly set up a time and came out to give us an estimate. We compared estimates and they had the best price. I also felt confident about their ability to perform based on questions Joey asked during the estimate process that the other companies did not. The day of the move they showed up on time and got right to work. They had to take apart several of our desks for the move and they re-assembled everything properly at the new location.Thanks to them our office move went very smoothly. We were very pleased with the service they provided and would definitely recommend them.

I've experienced the worst of moving services; I was very cautious after being taken advantage of by a less than reputable mover called Eco Movers based in NJ. Metropolitan Moving was polar opposite. They were personable but not overly chatty getting the job done swiftly. There were challenges which they overcame with an unflappable demeanor. I would fully recommend them as they were prompt dependable, and true to their initial quote.

Amazing!!! I honestly can't say enough about Joey and his crew. I was really behind on trying to find movers and called one other moving company before calling Metropolitan. I didn't hear back from the other company and started to get nervous, so I found Metropolitan on Angie's list and after reading their other great reviews gave Joey Reece a call about a week before the move. Unlike the other company that I had to leave a message for, Joey picked right up and was able to schedule me in right then on the phone. It was an enormous relief and he was so easy and flexible to plan everything out with. He let me walk him through what they would be moving so that we could skip an onsite estimate visit. This was incredibly helpful as we were down to the wire on everything we had to do before the move. He gave me an estimate over the phone and told me it would not be more than $500. The day of the move, they arrived early and were ready to go. I realized I had really underestimated the amount of boxes they'd be moving and Joey told me not to worry about it. These guys were professional, incredibly FAST, friendly and so, so helpful. I felt that they went out of their way, every single step of the way. I have never used professional movers before and I could not believe how much easier and faster everything went. They were also so meticulous and careful with our belongings...taking the time to cover all of the furniture, wrap legs and other easily damaged items to protect them. They were also just super cool guys and fun to move with. I could not recommend them more highly. They put everything in the rooms we wanted, put together furniture pieces that had been dismantled and just generally went above and beyond for us. Even though we had a lot more stuff than I first thought we'd have, Joey still honored the price he gave me by phone. Just simply wonderful service and I'm so glad I found them.

I called the movers a day or two prior to arriving in NC. I didn't know when our moving truck would arrive, as our furniture was being shipped via an 18 wheeler, but our furniture took up only a small portion of the truck. The owner was accommodating and asked that I call him when I find out the approximate time the truck would arrive, which I did. He gave me a time he would arrive at our apt and they actually arrived at that exact time. I was impressed by their punctuality. He brought with him two other guys to unload the truck. I was very impressed with how these movers handled our furniture, their professionalism and politeness. They worked very hard and ended up unloading the truck in record time, 1 hour. Because it was hot and humid that day, I gave each a couple of bottled waters and they were very appreciative. He had originally quoted me $75 per hour and a two hour minimum for two guys. However, because the owner worked also, it was like getting three guys for what he quoted. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to my friends.

Hey moved me from Charlotte to Atlanta. I had no problems with them and I would use him again. He was on time, handled the furniture properly, and followed all instructions perfectly. He was very good and open with communication.
