Everything went very well. Even though I called these guys just the day before, and they already had another move lined up for earlier in the day, they were able to work me into their schedule on short notice. They provided their own company truck and three men, including the owner of the company, quickly and carefully loaded my furniture, boxed belongings, etcetera onto the truck. They followed me to the new apartment, and unloaded everything. They set up my bedroom furniture, and placed dining and living room furniture as I directed. The move only took a couple hours. Their quote was $50 lower than I expected to pay (based on a previous quote from a competitor), so I was able to tip the workers fairly and still not spend more than $300. I will definitely call these guys again for my next move.

We did our due diligence when looking for a company to help us move. We priced it out and Metro Moving was not the cheapest but we felt comfortable with the gentleman that came out and gave us our estimate and a recommendation from a neighbor. The one thing that made us choose Metro Moving was the fact that the quote was laid our in a professional manner and the quote included 3 men on the day of the move. Everyone else was telling us they could do it in the same time with 2 movers. I hired a company to help us on our previous move and they sent 2 movers and it was a nightmare. I did 50% of the work to keep them in a 6 hr window. Regarding the movers that helped us. I would rate them a 10 out of 10. We walked through the house to give them a run down of all of the boxes and furniture. They wrapped everything up and moved it safely as they would have moved their own things. They also were very courteous and kind to me and my family. What I liked about them best is that they would not let me help them and they had a great attitude! They game me the impression that they wanted to be there early on a Saturday morning to help a family move into their first home. One item that I didn't like, was the fact that Metro Moving allowed me to place a deposit of $100 on a credit card without a fee and then wanted to charge me a fee to pay for the rest of the service. I am aware that the credit card companies charge fees when services are paid for by a credit card but passing it along to a customer through a fee on the final bill is a little unprofessional. Increasing the hourly rate by 3% could be an option on allowing everyone to pay for their services. At the last minute, I was scrabbling to find my check book in a loose box to pay the bill. Other than that, we were grateful for that this company could help us move.

Joey and 2 of his men arrived 5 minutes earlier, which I really appreciated. They were very courteous and thoughtful. They did a great job switching all the existing furniture in my living room and dining room. I ordered 2 futons for my living room by mail from Walmart and they were on the porch. Since the boxes looked dirty, I did not want the boxes to come inside the house. Joey and his guys pulled out the futons from the boxes for me on the porch, took them inside, and assembled them for me (without extra charges)! They folded my old rug and put it in the trash cart for me. They also cut up the boxes and put them into the recycle cart outside of my garage. They did a very good job cleaning everything up. I wasn't sure how the furniture pieces should be arranged in the new living room, so they helped me design and arrange the furniture pieces and now my living room looks really good! They finished all these in 40 minutes! Joey told me that he has been in this business for 15 years but he just started his own company last April, that's why there were only 3 reviews in Angie's list. I'm glad to learn that they also deliver furniture if the furniture company would not deliver to my house or if I buy large pieces from Craig's List. I will definitely hire them for that if there is a need, Overall, I'm very happy with their service and I hope his business will flourish from now on :) Oh, by the way, Joey is very responsive. Before I called him yesterday to arrange an appointment for today, I also called another big moving company on Angie's List. The big moving company said they will have someone called me back to give me a quote and arrange the appointment, but I have not received the call back so far...:p Glad that I did not wait for their phone call but called Joey instead :)

Overall, the experience was excellent. It was a difficult job with some large furniture and small areas, but they did a great job.

Joey and 2 other men loaded all of my possessions from a POD to his box truck and moved them to a storage unit at the facility where the POD had been delivered. All 3 men were courteous, friendly, hard-working, and efficient. They were very careful with my possessions and very conscientious. They made a point of showing me each item as it came out of the POD if there were any marks on it. They arranged everything in the storage unit exactly the way I needed it for easy access. They were very patient and kind about my requests. I could not have been more pleased, and I will definitely use this company again.
