MetroGreenscape was wonderful to work with. Darin, the owner, met with me before the project started and made great suggestions for materials. Rick Billings, who managed the project, was wonderful to work with and made sure any concerns I had were dealt with promptly and thoroughly. His crew, especially Paul and Victor, were wonderful. They worked tirelessly and were cheerful and pleasant. I am very pleased with the finished patio and water area. I did not include planting in my contract because I enjoy that part, so MetroGreenscape did the hardscape and now I have lots of planting to do. I had a great experience with MetroGreenscape and would definitely use them again.

The service turned out well. I thought he was very good with taking into consideration out budget. He listened to us and gave us hints on where to get certain items from.

They did mostly good. They did leave a big hole in the front yard. They came when they were supposed to and did do good work. The price was good and the workman were pleasant. I would still recommend them.

Supposed to arrive to perform work on Thursday and had taken 1/2 of payment in advance. Yard flags marked the sprinklers. When I got home from work I checked and did not see any evidence of aeration. I called to ask what had happened and was told that the crew had been there and had and quot;just cleaned up really well so I must be mistaken, but they had been to my houseand quot;. I rechecked the yard again, saw nothing and then found out from my neighbor that while he was out to dinner his yard had been aerated and he was not expecting it until the next day from a different company. I called Metro-Greenscapes again and was told that there was no way this could have happened because they did so many yards and do not make mistakes and the person wanted to know what my neighbor's address was in case they transposed it and also wanted me to check the sprinkler cover because there was a note that they had broken the one in the yard that they had worked on. I told him my sprinkler cover was under mulch so not possible that they could have been in my yard and my address and my neighbors were not close enough to have been transposed. After continuing to insist, the Metro-Greenscape representative finally realized that they had made a mistake and agreed to come to my yard the following day. They showed up the next morning and completed the work. Very frustrating that a service company was not more willing to listen to their customer with a concern and offered nothing to compensate for their poor performance and poor customer service.

It was a really good experience. They did what they said they were going to do, and gave me some tips on up keep of the system.

The service itself was great, everything turned out fine. They were very puncutal and went into great detail. The workers gave me some really good suggestions as well. I was very satisfied with the service, I just could not afford the full job they wanted to do at the time.

Called Metro to make an appointment for landscaping review and proposal, talked to a very helpful Seth who arranged a 9/19/12 home appointment with Jamie. So far, so good. Received a call From Seth on 9/18/12 indicating Jamie had a commitment early on the 19th, and may be running 15-30 minutes late for the original appointment time. As I was home for the day, no problem, appreciated the heads-up. Jamie called at the original appointment time, and advised he had and quot;car troubleand quot; but would be at the house by early afternoon. A little frustrating, but let's go with the flow. Here's where it gets fun. After being a no-show for the day, Jamie left a message around 5:00 PM that and quot; I couldn't make it to your home, but I looked it up on 'Google Earth' and want to walk you through my proposaland quot; . Yeah, I'm committing a $5000 landscaping budget for a guy who looks up my property on and quot;Google Earthand quot; Intrigued, I called back the 19th and left a message for Jamie. No reply. Message the 20th, no reply. Message the 21st, no reply. Got a call from Seth today, the 25th, who was just following up to make sure Jamie met all my needs at our appointment. ( BTW, Seth called my work number, and Jamie's message was on my Cell phone, so no issues with contact availability ). Walked Seth through my experience. He didn't seemed very surprised. If professionalism is important to your landscaping project, run, don't walk, from this joke of a company. Customer Service just isn't part of the Metro-Green Scape culture.

I contacted this company to come out to look at the property in order to give me an itemized estimate for work that needed to be done. It was a townhouse complex with a small budget of $4000-6000 for mulch and an overhaul/clean-up/planting of very outdated landscaping. I gave the company the budget that was available and specifically requested to know what exactly (what type of clean-up and which type of planting) they could do above and beyond mulch for the limited budget. Basically, to get the property to look as good as it could for that budget, what they could do for us. That way, I would be able to compare different estimates and find out which company could do the most for our property with the same given budget. When I received the estimate, it listed mulch (which was the only thing that I specified that was a and quot;mustand quot;) and a price, a line that read and quot;will trim shrubs and remove ground coverand quot; without specifying which ones and how/etc, and then a line that was for $2000 that was listed to be a and quot;planting allowanceand quot; When I replied to say that I would really appreciate a more detailed itemized estimate, especially for the planting allowance and any shrubs that would be removed, I was sent a vague reply that never addressed my request. I did not think it would be difficult to give a company a bottom line and just ask them specifically what they could do for that price. Somehow it seemed to be too difficult for this company. Needless to say, we went with a different company who was able to answer simple requests.

I scheduled an appointment following the purchase of the Angie's List Deal. The company representative (possibly the company owner) arrived at my home on time and was professional. I began to tell him why I wanted a landscape plan, and what items in particular I was interested in discussing. He discussed a few items briefly, but overall dismissed my requests. Instead, he took the remainder of the time to tell me that the proposed work would outprice my home in the neighborhood. He also implicated that his company specialized in high end work, and that he was too expensive for what I wanted. This may be true, but this was not indicated when I paid $99.00. The and quot;Landscape Planand quot; was never completed. He did provide a quote for additional work, which I chose not to accept. I did choose another provider that was willing to complete the work that I wanted. I believe that the company representative had good intentions, but I did not appreciate the approach taken. I would recommend more specific description of the company and the proposed and quot;Landscape Planand quot; going forward, or perhaps a refund of the $99 if they did not want to follow through with the service.

Two people arrived and did satisfactory work; nothing outstanding and they need a lot of specific direction. They were obvious in their lack of enthusiasm about weeding. They stopped work 'on the nose' and left a shovel behind. I called about 45 days later to set up another time to finish the remaining work and also told them I had their shovel. The women who took my information was to call me to schedule a date after she checked the calendar. I have never heard from them; still have the shovel, too. Overall, I just wasn't 'wowed' and there are too many other options out there that are as good, if not better, at the same or lower prices

I called this company on 4-24-12 and spoke with Seth. As it turns out, they don't work in my area but the courtesy and professionalism that I encountered is well worth writing this review. While making it very clear that he was not authorized to make exceptions, Seth showed a genuine interest in what work I wanted done and spent a great deal of time talking to me about our landscaping needs. He exhibited a desire to help us and told me he would pass along my requests and information to the company owner but at no time did he make promises or mislead me in any way. His honesty was refreshing in this day and age when it seems that most people will promise anything and try to make a killing off you. I had a total of 3 conversations over 2 days with Seth and several e-mails. After talking with the owner Seth conveyed to me that the distance they would have to travel would make the job cost prohibitive. I found that completely understandable since gas prices alone will quickly eat into profits not to mention transportation of materials and personnel. Since Seth had been honest with me from the beginning I was not upset or surprised with this decision. They also gave me the name and number of two other people/companies for the work I want done. I was very impressed with the contact I had with this company. If the same level of courtesy and professionalism that I experienced with Seth extends throughout the rest of this company and if their skill and caliber of work are at that same level, I would see no reason to go elsewhere for any landscaping needs.

I talked with a very courteous receptionist and she had Jamie to call me. Jamie came over and looked at the areas I was needing work done in and gave me a quote before he left. He was very polite and professional. I talked with him about a possible contract to get my yard work taken care of all year, and he gave me some prices. When I contacted Jamie again and told him that I wanted Metro to do the work he said he would set up a time to have them come. As I arrived at my house that afternoon the workers were finishing up the clean up. The bushes looked great and the areas were weed free and mulched. They did a great job and the workers were very friendly. The only flaw I found was at the end of one row of bushes it looks like they ran out of mulch and didn't mulch that area. I am still thinking about getting Metro to do my yard work year round. The cost is a little high for my budget, but if I could afford it I believe they would do a great job!

They did an excellent job. They spent more time than initially planned and gave us great advice on what needed to be removed and what we could do for in the yard.

They were responsive in calling me the same day I purchased the service and set up a time that worked for me. Darin arrived on time and even though he had a checklist he was flexible and spent time looking at the items that were important to me. I had recently purchased the house and the outside had been neglected for some time so I was looking for someone to help me start on the clean-up and help with some major problems, such as overgrown trees, poor drainage and an irrigation system that didn't work. He made a proposal for some of the items I was interested in bringing in a professional for and gave me some pointers for the work I wanted to do on my own. I am currently working with them to start on some more work.

We purchased a Big Deal for 3 hours of yard work for $95. We had some trouble getting an agreed upon date, partially because of the number of responses to the big deal, the weather and 2 date changes that we needed to make. Once we had an agreed upon date the workers showed up on time and did a great deal of work in the allotted time. I would use this company again and may contact them for some work in the spring.

Now that we had the blueprints, and after meeting several other landscape companies we met at the Carolina Home show, we had contacted 4 others to come out and look over our back yard and the blueprints and for ideas and suggestions and to try and get a quote. Of the three other firms that actually visited our home, none ever got back to us despite repeated attempts of me reaching back out to them. Not for a quote, not for better ideas, none even returned my phone calls or emails!! Darrin Brocklebank of Metro Greenscape not only followed up like he said he would, he did not push us. He politely emailed or called maybe once a month until were ready to move forward. (We never told him that we finally gave up on any other firm to be professional enough to even return our phone calls and emails). Metro-Greenscape was hired to start with just the new patio, pergola, and fire pit. Very important - They worked creatively to discount the cost of our patio by using some of their overstocked inventory which we appreciated very much. We still picked and approved the colors and the pattern. They did however have a and quot;hiccupand quot;. They had a problem with some of the sand that was used for sealing the joints of the pavers. It ended up discoloring the pavers. After they first consulted the paver manufacturer at my house, they were advised to treat the pavers with muratic acid, then acetone, then they power washed them twice. Then they tried sealing each individual paver painstakingly by hand but it just wasn’t enough to make it look right. It’s one of those fluke things that happen. Several friends and neighbors said it looked fine despite the slight discoloration. Even so, after all this extra work, Darrin suggested to completely replace the pavers at no cost to us. We did not demand this from him. He suggested it before any of the treatments mentioned above. They were on time with delivering this final promise to us even though rain got in the way and Darrin himself babysat one of his crew's kids on the last Saturday morning of the job. I wish the sand thing wouldn’t have happened but I know many people that have had contractors that would not stand by their word. Darrin and his entire crew were prompt, courteous, professional, and caring. Our patio looks great and we have had many compliments.

The plan overall is very good. The only issue during the process was the plan took longer than expected. This was explained as tthe work load for plans was very high this fall. As we were waiting until the weather cooled, this was not a major issue.

They were very responsive in setting up my appointment and following up. I was disappointed in the services that were performed. I wasn't home and felt that there should have been more done. It seemed like a very quick clean up and not much substance to it.

Metro Greenscape was great to work with. Darin, owner of company, came out to the house and spent an extensive amount of time as we discussed hardscape and landscape projects, as well as ongoing full service lawn scare. We have completed the first stage of our projects -- installation of a large paver patio and drainage. When our concrete demolition didn't go as quickly as hoped (separate service provider), Metro Greenscape graciously moved our patio start-date a day later. The Metro Greenscape crew worked quickly, efficiently, and professionally.

They did a terrific job! Very professional, timely, definately recommend this company!

My husband and I recently bought a house with a dilapidated retaining wall in the front. Metro Greenscape came in and removed the old wall, graded the front yard, and rebuilt the new wall. We are extremely happy with the results! Everyone was professional and we were surprised that this entire project was completed in one day. The owner of the company has gone above and beyond to ensure our happiness with this project. When finding out that we were new to the area he even went out of his way to provide us with recommendations for other services (including a fence installer and a car detailer...both of which were amazing!). We are very happy with the results as well as the entire experience with this company.

I contacted Metro Green Scape to schedule my appointment for the big deal that I purchased. Allison, who works there, was very helpful throughout this process. I told her what I wanted to do, I told her I had supplies and we discussed calculations on the mulch I wanted added to my yard. I wanted zero to low maintenance on my small back patio. As we were going over details Allison had me send picture of my yard, I included measurements of my patio to better address my particular job. When the technician came we discussed my idea of how to approach the yard he explained what could happen if the lining was put down. I decided to let them clean the yard and put down the mulch. I was told by another company it would take a day to clean my yard. It took Metro Green Scape 2 hours and the yard looks great. The technician forgot to bring the down spout extension that was to be installed and he said he would comeback. A couple of days later I looked out at my patio and the down spout extension was in place. I was pleased with my overall experience.
