Description of Work: They walked through the property with me and he identified the plants that were on the property and gave me some indications for care and landscaping.

Description of Work: We use Metro Greenscapes for our monthly lawn services. They do these very well, always punctual or in touch with us if the schedule changes at all due to weather. We also used their services for some landscaping on our home. They were great working with us on the design, discussing our ideas and making great suggestions - and I never felt rushed during our consultations. The work was done exactly to our agreeement, and we love the way it looks. Unfortunately, one of the trees died about two months after they installed it, and they replaced it for the wholesale cost of the tree - we did not have to pay labor or delivery fees. While they do not guarantee that plants will survive, they went above and beyond the typical arrangement and we appreciated that.

Description of Work: Was given a verbal estimate, representative said he could not give a written estimate until they returned to office. After numerous calls and a month later written estimate arrive $2000 more than the verbal quote.

Description of Work: They cleaned the backyard, weeds, and branches. They did a fine job.

Description of Work: Metroscapes offered, through Angie's List, a analysis of your yard at a reduced price (I don't remember the exact deal). After the owner walked around my property and made a few comments, I pointed out to the owner a particular problem area in my yard where I was trying to grow bermuda grass. I explained to him the terrible service I had received from the company that planted the bermuda and was frustrated in trying to identify the right type of fertilizer, weed prevention, etc. for my yard. He offered to put a mat over the problem area and said the seeds would be protected and grow through the mat. The company did come and do what they promised they would do...the only problem was is that it didn't work. After several phone calls with the supervisor (can't remember his name...father-in-law?) and actually meeting with him, I thought we would resolve the problem, but he never followed through. I did not want to report them because I never paid the bill. In a phone call (or could have been an email), the supervisor acknowledged he didn't do what he said he would and wanted yet another chance, at no charge, to make things right. At this point, I had been jerked around, not only by this company, but the original company, and wanted nothing more to do with them.

Description of Work: Paid to have irrigation system serviced; sprinkler heads were inspected and aligned. Overall, service performed was satisfactory although fellow barely spoke English. This was a concern since we were interested in having additional services provided (at additional cost, of course). We made a follow up call when we didn't hear from Metro-Green, and upon requesting the additional services information, were advised we'd receive a call from the owner to discuss in more detail. After two more follow up calls, we never got the return call so we scheduled the services with another provider.

Description of Work: They did some edging and worked on our beds. They were absolutely wonderful.

Description of Work: I bought a Big Deal from them for lawn and yard work.

Description of Work: Requested that their people pull weeds in planting beds. Showed them what and how I wanted it done. They hit the weeds with a weed-eater and then round-up. The weeds were back in less than two weeks. Talked with owner, instructed to never come here again.

Description of Work: I contacted Metro-Green for the purpose of having my zoysia lawn verti-cut (thatch removal). Seth Hudson, one of the designers, called and advised that thatch removal was not one of the services they offered however he offered several suggestions as to where I might find a company that does do it. Seth spent about a half an hour on the phone with me discussing my lawn issues and suggested steps I could take the remedy them. Although it was determined from the onset of the phone call that it was not leading to a service "sold"', Seth still took the time to answer my questions and share his experience and knowledge of zoysia lawns. I was very impressed with the attention given and professionalism shown. I do have some landscape plans in the future and Metro-Green will be the first on the call list.

Description of Work: AM DISAPPOINTED AND WOULD NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Description of Work: Created a landscape design for the front and back yard using pictures of our existing landscaping and updating the images with the design image for a 'real life' view of the final product. We did not use Metro Greenscape for the actual planting and implementing the design.

Description of Work: We recently built a new home and our lot was an undeveloped, wooded lot. Metro-Green Scape, Inc., totally transformed the lot to a well-manicured, beautifully landscaped yard with green grass and natural areas, while maintaining the natural trees all around. It was amazing to watch the transformation in only a few short days. We couldn't be more satisfied with the result. WHAT A HUGE DIFFERENCE!

Description of Work: HEATHER WAS TO DO A LANDSCAPE DESIGN. SHE MET WITH ME AND MY HUSBAND AND WE SIGNED A CONTRACT 10/12/2005. WE SET UP AN APPOINTMENT FOR FRIDAY OCTOBER 21, 2005 AT 5:00 TO REVIEW THE DESIGN THAT SHE WAS TO DO. WE LEFT WORK EARLY SO THAT WE COULD MAKE THE APPOINTMENT. HEATHER NEVER SHOWED UP. I CALLED THE ANSWERING SERVICE AND LEFT A MESSAGE. THE REPRESENTATIVE SAID THAT SOMEONE WOULD CALL ME MONDAY OCTOBER 24. I HAVE NOT HEARD A WORD. THIS IS VERY ANNOYING. I WANTED TO GIVE HEATHER THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT BUT WHEN NO ONE FROM METRO-GREENSCAPE EVEN RETURNED MY CALL IT WAS FRUSTRATING. I CAN'T COMMENT ON THE QUALITY OF WORK SINCE FOR OUR SECOND APPOINTMENT THEY WERE ''NO SHOWS''. THE AMOUNT OF THE CONTRACT WAS $250, WHICH WE WERE TO PAY WHEN THE DESIGN WAS PRESENTED TO US, THEREFORE WE PAID NOTHING.

Description of Work: CREATED A SEEDBED FOR A NEW LAWN BY ADDING DIRT, SPREADING, LEVELING AND TAMPING; ALSO TILLING ONE AREA THAT HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN SEEDED. CREATED A 50 FOOT DRY CREEKBED WITH RIVER GRAVEL. CLEANED OUT WEEDS AND DEBRIS FROM THE BACK OF THE YARD. MADE A NATURAL AREA AROUND FOUR TREES AND MULCHED WITH PINE STRAW.
