Rick was very timely and friendly in returning emails, but it was difficult to schedule the visit even though we started the process several weeks before our closing date. Some of this reflects our scheduling the cleaning after contractors worked in our house, but once we were able to get the crew in, there weren't many options, it seems, for times when one could have this service performed. We grew frustrated waiting to unpack. Also, two separate appointments were needed; an additional one for carpet cleaning. It would have been easier for us for all the services to have been performed at one time. As for the quality of the work, what was done was done sufficient, but not all of the items on the list were performed. For example, the fridge was not cleaned. Screens were removed from windows and left sitting in a pile. Likewise, the cabinets in the kitchens or bathrooms were not wiped out. The shelves in the closets were not wiped. When I brought this to Rick's attention, he apologized, assured me his workers said that they had cleaned these items, and stressed that he values customer satisfaction. He offered half off our next service. He also added that our estimate was low for the industry standard which, to me, implied that I should be happy with what I got. I would have gladly paid more for a thorough job. It isn't my fault that his employee wrote a low estimate. I understand that his employees want to keep there jobs, but, really, they didn't clean all the areas of our house they had agreed to clean in the contract they had given us. Two of the cabinets were so dirty that when we cleaned them, the paper towels were black with dust and grime. The kitchen cabinets still had crumbs in them. As we unpacked and wiped out the cabinets and closets, we cleaned more and more areas that had not been touched by the cleaning crew, and we became more and more frustrated that we paid for a service that was nor performed to the standard the company professes to maintain. It has been a month since then. I haven't heard from a company representative to schedule another visit, and I don't expect to. Overall, I felt that the company did not want to keep our business even though we had planned, as we had told Rick and Marlo, on hiring them for our regular cleaning service. Their loss we would have been regular customers.
Description of Work: We hired Metro Cleaning to perform a thorough move-in cleaning of our new house. The contact, owner Rick Richardson, provided a list of services that would be provided as part of the cleaning. I asked that the inside of the cabinets be wiped out, too, and he replied that this was part of their service. When the estimator, Marlo, came to our house, I also stressed that we wanted cabinets and closets wiped.
